Campfire Cinnamon Buns -N- Cream

Campfire Cinnamon Buns -N- Cream

We’re calling this the triple crown of confections. The Triple “C”.

Cinnamon rolls roasted over the campfire topped with a dollop of ice cream. Yes please & thank you!

So you’ve got options how to roast. Here are our favs:

Hobo style:

Spray foil with non-stick cooking spray.

Wrap the buns and place over the campfire, on a rack if you’ve got one! Be sure to rotate often for even cooking. Cook until golden brown. 15-20 minutes, depending on temperature. A cool hack that is to place the sweet bun in an orange peel then wrap in foil. The orange peel prevents burning AND gives the snack a burst of flavor.

Skewer style:

First skewer those buns onto a roasting stick. Leave an inch at the tip so they don’t slide off when cooking.

Now, time to toast those flakey pastries until they’re golden brown and crisped to excellence. Rotation is key here! 3-5 minutes on each top, bottom, and both sides. Remember to slow roast, don’t char the sweets! Unless that’s your style - then char away.

Once your sweet buns are toasted to perfection, carefully remove and place in a bowl. Top those warm ooey gooey fire roasted cinnamon buns with your favorite flavor of ice cream. Drizzle with icing. For extra pizzazz, add sliced banana to your bowl ahead of time.

We love cooking outdoors and hope that you appreciate our campfire recipes.
