Everyone at Sterling Lake Ontario is great!! Friendly owners, staff, campers etc. the new features in the park are amazing and we love the new nature trails. The amenities keep getting better and the park is well maintained as well as a family friendly environment. I can’t wait to go back for next season!! Keep up the good work �

Campground is great, sites are very good. Bath facilities were very good. The hosts are the absolute best! Recommend anyone having travels that bring you close by, consider this your spot!

Great location where you feel secluded but you can also run into town if you need anything. 10 minutes from a nature center on the lake. I stayed in one of the cabins. The set up and decor were much more than your usual campground cabin, making it so much cozier. I will definitely be back

We had a wonderful time with our family. The littles loved the activities and the I enjoyed walking out dog in the trails. The pumpkin seed planting was so cute! Thank you for the experience. I will certainly share with friends and family. Tina.

We had a wonderful stay here! The staff was so friendly and welcoming! Our site was spacious and we loved how it backed up to the woods. The nature trail was really nice. It is so close to Lake Ontario. We would definitely stay here again!

As always Great stay fun activities and the owners are always present and happy to make your stay a great time. If you're looking for a family friendly campground that is kept meticulously this should definitely be added to your list!

Cabin was clean, the grounds were kept up nicely. Staff provided an escort to help locate the site upon check-in, instead of just circling the spot on a map and sending you off to find it. Nice and quiet campground.

We had a great 8 days on site #25! Teenagers were a little disappointed there wasn’t a basketball court but did enjoy parts of the arcade. Thank you for making us feel so welcome for our 50th Family Reunion! We appreciate you!!

Wewere there for a getaway week for peace and quiet and to just relax. This was in September. We got exactly that. The campground was beautiful and the trees in and the grounds gave it just the right atmosphere! Our hostess was the best! Friendly and spent the time checking in with and visiting the campers. She is the perfect person to have as owner!

Had a perfect site, very big and sites were well maintained. Restroom was very clean. Rec center was well stocked with games,etc Convenient to area attractions (state parks, safe haven museum, rice creek hiking trails, sterling nature center.)

We always are The campground is laid out with a good distance between the sites. The bathroom and showers are always spotless and never crowded. A good selection of wooded or open sites.

Nice campground in wooded area. They have a nice half mile walking trail with surprises along the way. The only thing that I did not like was the timer on the shower. The shower was clean but you get 7 minutes, then it shuts off and you have to wait 5 minutes before it will turn back on. If you wear glasses make sure you read the instructions before you take them off for your shower.

The walking trails were a great surprise!! It was so much fun to see the kids "enchanted" by walking in the woods.

Great site. Great location. Fantastic owners. Very accommodating. Only thing we'd change is the timer situation in the big shower house. You stand there for a couple of minutes with no water while it resets itself. That could change for the better . Thanks for being so great. See you next year.

The owner was amazing!! Very helpful with an unexpected late stay & check-in for my daughter & myself. Cabin was perfect! Cozy! Clean! well appointed with Microwave, frig, coffee, creamer. Beds were very comfy. Highly recommend!

We stayed from May 8 till Sept 8, 2026, (Seasonal) had a great time with family Wedding, and an engagement, and just having fun with Family. The Park Owners are a couple of the nicest owners I have met, they bought the park about 3 years ago, and turned an old local camp into an nice KOA Holiday campground, the park is maintained nice and clean.... WONDERFULLY SECLUDED,FRIENDLY HELPFUL STAFF...WATER NEEDS FILTERED OR SOMETHING DIFFICULT TO RINSE AFTER BRUSHING ETS...NEEDS A FEW MORE SHOWERS BATHROOMS...OTHERWISE GREAT AND AFFORDABLE.

This campground was very nice! We had site 10 nd it was perfect! The owners are onsite and making Sure you have everything you need! Bathroom facilities are brand new and there is laundry on site. We will be back for sure! The nature trail out to the creek is an added bonus!

The staff at the KOA was very friendly and knowledgeable. If there is any question or concerns they address them very promptly. Like the hiking trail that they put in this year. The only thing is there is no pool but you have the beach close by and available. Will be back again soon.

Beautiful cabin on a nice quiet lot with a great view of the stars! Lots to do in the campground as well as the surrounding area. Campground is clean and everyone is nice and welcoming. Would recommend to a friend and definitely planning a second visit!

Very nice grounds and clean sites! We stopped on the way back from Old Forge and just wanted a nice place for one night caught up on some laundry-in near new facilities, played trivia and enjoyed a nice campfire. Near perfect stay, just some mosquitos that interfered, but that’s part of the great outdoors. Compliments to the owners and staff !

The proximity to the Renaissance Festival was perfect, the grounds were well maintained and very quiet/peaceful. There was a beautiful trail to walk and an exceptionally clean bathroom facility, check in and out was seamless, and there was even a cute diner nearby for the best breakfast we have ever had! We will be staying again very soon and recommend to anyone!

Only thing missing is a pool for the kids. Other than that place was very well kept and staff was friendly.

We stayed here in October and we're at site 10. It was an absolutely beautiful sight. We were so pleased that when we made the reservation the owner gave us this site. It was absolutely lovely. She was absolutely delightful and kind and cheerful and was always smiling. I can't believe what a difference it makes. When someone is that friendly. She greeted us and she also said goodbye to us when we left. That kind of behavior is so touching and really makes a difference. Because we were there in October there were very few people but are stay was comfortable and appealing. They look like they are doing a lot of work to make the place even better. It is not that big and there are other campgrounds nearby, but we were appreced for 3-day stay to be at this location.

This KOA Holiday is very nice! My family and I went as a party of 3 and we rented a 4 person cabin that had several amenities, including a half bath, microwave, coffee pot, a bunk bed, futon, air conditioner, fire pit, parking spot and a picnic table, just to name a few. The hosts and staff were great, the shop was fun and there are walking trails as well as a rec room and gaming room. An extra perk is how close you are to Lake Ontario (not Lake America) and here you are truly one with nature. When you drive down Juniper hill road the hills and the turns are fun and there's a family with a pickle stand that sells delicious pickles in all kinds of flavors. This place is super kid friendly and has a large playground swings and seesaws and tetherball and provides a safe place to camp and stay. FOR RVs they have a dumping site and all the hookups. Free wifi is also included and has really strong signals. I will rate this amazing gem of a Kampground a solid 5 stars. This is somewhere you can make so many loving memories. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sherstin and April are the most wonderful, caring, understanding, beautiful people we have ever had the joy to enjoy their company. The campground is exquisite. They take great care of the grounds with many new upgrades. They have firewood delivery as well. People on site at all times to handle most needs.
