Would like to see more couple's cabins for seniors who can no longer camp but want to camp with kids who are camping or for singles.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you so much for staying with us. We would love to have more couples' cabins as well. We do offer our basic cabins that are also good for a single or a family on a budget. We hope to see you again in the future.

Great long Memorial Day weekend visit with friends. Lovely spot along the back with big trees, the river nearby. Well kept campground, bathrooms and showers were very nice too.

We camp the Black Hills often and Spearfish KOA is one of our favorites. It is very well maintained and the staff is ever so friendly. You are close to amenities and all the attractions the Black Hills has to offer. We look forward to our next stay. Thank you for a great weekend.

We stay at this KOA often. It’s location to the Black Hills is excellent being close enough to enjoy the sight seeing must do’s but far enough away to get stay away from people. This KoA is clean and well kept. My site was gravel but level. All hookups were conveniently placed and functional. The staff was very nice and friendly! The only complaint is no reflection on the campground. Road nois

Exceptionally well kept grounds.. it was a peaceful, respectful, quiet campground that allowed us the rest we needed for our cross country travels. The individual sites were so well kept and had very nice size individual spots that added to our restful stay. Would definitely restay there during our return travels. Good job!!!!!

What a great place to spend time. So much to do in the area. We love your camp grounds and make it there every year. The greenest grass and the patio sites are fabulous. Thank you as well for the hospitality in the office!!

Once again a great experience. We much prefer to stay here for our visits to the Black Hills. It's a very nice and well managed facility. I did not get to see either Cindy or Larry this time but I already know that they are super nice people from having met them before. All of the employees that I have encountered at the Black Hills KOA have been very helpful..We will be back soon.

Great campground! Super nice to have an off leash area to walk to with a creek and everything! Showers were nice, but a little warm during the day. Pool was not working.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I do apologize that our pool was not open for the season yet, we have to get past the freeze warnings before we can get our pool up and running. It is now open, and we would love for you to come and enjoy it. Hope to see you again in the future.

Your KOA is very nice, well-maintained and we really liked the ability to have a shaded site and the nature trail. The only downside is the noise from the highway. We came from the peace and quiet of Cottonwood Campground in Theodore Roosevelt NP and were disappointed in highway noise here.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I am very sorry the slight highway noise bothered you, we do not get many complaints on that, however we are right off the interstate. If you come again we would love to get you in a site maybe farther back in the campground. Thanks for staying with us and travel safe.

Put us in a buddy site when plenty of other sites. Extremely close together. Other than that campground and facilities were good.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I do apologize for the buddy site, we do try our best to be sure you are not in a buddy site with someone you don't know. We are doing a lot of training with new employees who are learning how things work at our campground. We also have many sites closed for different reasons( new grass, sewer issue)

From check-in to check-out, our RV camping experience was perfect and sooooo restful. Team Spearfish KOA are wonderful hosts and proudly maintain a beautiful and CLEAN campground facility. I really want to rate it 6 Stars! We look forward to our next visit!

The Spearfish/Black Hills KOA is a beautiful place to stay, and the customer service is the best; the attendant at the counter was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area and made us feel so welcome. The grounds are very well kept, sites are level, and the facilities are clean and fresh. We will definitely stay again at this amazing KOA.

Very nice clean park with extremely helpful employees. Flat spaces. Clean showers, restrooms and laundry area. We were there shortly after they opened for the season and pool being prepped for Memorial Day. We enjoyed the nature trail with our dog in the designated leash free area. Definitely recommend Crow Peak Brewery and Pit 14 BBQ and the Mexican restaurant walking distance. Yummy!

Staff was very friendly and the sites very clean and level. We stayed in one of their deluxe patio sites (#19). While we only had one evening where we used the fire pit (it was the first week of May and a bit chilly in the evenings), we enjoyed our stay very much. I highly recommend the Spearfish/Black Hills KOA and we are already planning to return in 2027!

We stayed 3 nights at the beg of May and had very nice weather. A very pretty, clean park with a welcoming, friendly staff. There is access to a nature trail that is great for dogs & walking. The Black Hills National Park is just outside of Spearfish and it is absolutely beautiful! The KOA is conveniently located so you can easily get to wherever you need to go.

Friendly staff, beautifully kept grounds and very clean facilities. The easy access to Spearfish Creek was incredible! Location makes for an easy hop into Spearfish or to jump onto the highway to head to other adventures.

We chose this KOA since it was midway between Mt. Rushmore and Devil's Tower (both of which have KOAs nearby). Good choice: great sites, mature trees, and friendly staff. The walk along the Belle Fourche River is beautiful and dog-friendly, with areas that are defined as "off-leash" and "leashed." Recommend this KOA since it is obvious to us that the operator's commitment to upkeep and maintenance is top-notch.

This is a lovely KOA. Extremely clean, very nice pool, showers, laundry facility. Little bit of road noise, nothing that disturbs. This is a great central point for visiting the Black Hills. Spearfish supermarkets places to eat a canyon road trip nearby & beautiful sunsets.
