Clean park, surrounded by nature. Right outside of New Orleans. Showers were clean just beware they come with the most adorable pack of American Tree frogs ever, they keep the mosquitoes down so no harm they were fun to see. Sites were spacious. The pond was beautiful and pool well maintained.

We stayed at the end of August and had a great experience. The grounds are kept very nice, the staff is wonderful and it has a great salt water pool. I wish we didn’t live so far away as it would be our favorite bit annual get away!

1) Recommend a small refrigerator at the pavilion so people can store food and drinks. Cleaned out nightly. 2) recommend moving all road signs further back from the roads. A 45’ 5th wheel almost clips all the signs during hard turns. Had to go way wide to not rub the rig.

Great place to stay. The staff is extremely friendly and the campsites are very nice. There is plenty of of things to do at the KOA camp and only a couple of miles away are great restaurants and shopping. Could not ask for a nicer place to stay.

Very nice KOA. It was quiet with roomy spots. Had a site with dog kennel which was a huge asset. Great pool and availability of activities. Loved the dog park.

Friendly people. My only real issue was that the camp water pressure was the lowest of any RV park I've been to. That being said we will be going back to the Slidell KOA in the future.

We were greeted by two great women who were eager to help us have a great experience in Slidell. The pool is big and lovely, laundry was free, and the campground is quiet! We loved our stay and will be back!

This is my new favorite campground! It's beautiful. The grounds are kept neatly, the pool is gorgeous, theres a nice playground for the kids, a cool dog park and the staff is so nice. Under the pavilion is ping pong, Foosball & darts. Next time I will have to throw a line out in the fishing pond! Overall I'm very happy with this campground and it's spacious sites! I plan on visiting frequently

Arrived late in the evening and Rick showed us to our site and since we are rookie RVers provided some additional assistance/information for getting us situated. The camp grounds were very nice. Hopefully we’ll get to use more of the facilities on our next stay

Everyone was friendly. The pool was awesome. Even though no one wants to do laundry, it was a very nice and clean laundry area. The park was very clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Queenie was a great hostess. The sites were well maintained and level with plenty of space for our rv and tow vehicle. She gave us a list of great restaurants for our stay. We Were only passing through so were only there for one night but would definitely stay again. They are doing a lot to upgrade it so it will only get better.

We were impressed with the bath house and groundskeeping. Being pet owners we also appreciated that we did not detect any use of glyphosate for grass control.

Very clean and quit park. Site are nice. Price is good. Amenities are nice and clean. Will be back. The owner and workers are nice and accommodating.

Was only an overnight stop but was well maintained. Bathhouse and pool were well maintained. Sites are gravel but level. Only recommendation would be shade at the dog park.

The camp is ok. We had an issue with the washmachines. None of the four was finctionning. We lost some liquid and quarters and a lot of time. Not a big deal but our clothes and linen were not washed and it was very unfortunate and we had to sleep in durty linen.

Bless your sweet heart you must have been miserable, for that I sincerely apologize. This was an unfortunate incident of poor timing. We were right in the middle of upgrading our laundry to free washers and dryers, which has been completed. We do hope this will be a great convenience for our guests.

Journey KOA is the nicest KOA we've experienced. The owner, Queenie, puts her heart & soul into everything she does at the campground. The pool design is lovely. The campground is immaculate. Location is easy access to NOLA.

I think this place is brand new. If not, it sure looks like it. Everything was clean, in great shape, and functional. Spots were very easy to get in and out of, and we level. The mirror in the bathroom had adjustable lighting for makeup.

New campground. Excellent location as base camp for North shore, shopping, food and swamp tours. VERY SAFE and clean for families and close ( 30 minute ride) to New Orleans attractions. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

Newer park. Far enough from New Orleans that it is quiet and close enough to New Orleans to visit for the day without being on the road all day. Slidell is also a nice place with lots to do. We were set up near the tree line, and the shade was nice. Pool looked good and people were friendly.

The guys at Kamp Slidell were awesome. They helped me out of a sticky situation when I first got there. Even though I arrived after hours. They checked up on me to make sure I had everything I needed. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. Kamp ground is always clean. Although the dumpster could have been emptied sooner. Will stay there again the next time I’m in town.

Great campground for an overnight or two. We stopped here for two nights, arriving in a driving rain that didn't stop for 24 hours. Staff was great, getting us checked in and reminding us about the crawfish boil the next day. The roads are paved and sites are gravel, with easy hookups. The sites are raised above the level of the road, which is a good thing, as the roads flooded the next day! We were snug and dry however, and with good wifi, we relaxed and streamed media while watching the rain fall and the water rise. The flooding drained away and we were able to leave on drying roads the next morning. Sorry to miss the crawfish boil! Maybe next time.

First time at this campground, and we loved it! The owners are super nice and accommodating. We forgot to pack our grill! I mentioned it while in the camp store, and the owners offered to bring us one. That was pretty impressive. The pool is HUGE and perfect for all ages - they even have a large “ledge” section of the pool that is perfect for toddlers. Bathrooms were immaculately clean. I love that the bathrooms in their bathhouses are independent from each other instead of the dorm style like many campgrounds. They even have a teak table to hold all of your shower supplies and clothes while you shower. Slidell has so much to offer any traveler - great food and scenery. Ate a fancy dinner one evening at Palmettos, and they, too, were extremely accommodating. We had reservations for 4, but then another couple wanted to join us - Palmettos added another table and chairs to our set up and acted like it was no big deal - but it WAS a big deal to us. Unfortunately, it rained almost the entire long weekend that we were there. While that is NOT the fault of the owners, the site we chose (65) was almost entirely flooded the whole weekend. Other than the flooded site, THAT is the ONLY reason for the 4 stars. Otherwise, they would have gotten 5!! We will come back, but we will book a different site. *We have our eye on the one with the patio set up and dog pen.
