We really enjoyed our stay there. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The facilities were exceptional and even had a pool. I would definitely recommend this KOA camp grounds. I would stay here again.

Love this place!!! Very clean, excellent customer service, big spaces, and close to shopping. Not too far from New Orleans. We will definitely come back!!!

The campground was clean and very nice. We did come back one night and find someone had left food on our table which was a little concerning that someone was using our site while we were gone. Other than that we were very happy with the campground. We did not report this issue.

Spacious sites, lots of grass and walking area. Clean and safe park. Dog friendly and large area for walking. Friendly and helpfully staff. Recommended!!!!

Check in and front office were fine. The campsite itself was full of litter. I had to wear gloves to pickup used straws, cigarette butts, sidewalk chalk, food wrappers, and dirty tissues. For $66 a night after taxes and fees one would think the tent site would be clean.

Nice big sites, need to cut down tree stumps around site 12, someone may trip on them. Not enough showers for size of park. Bathrooms need work. Most KOAs have outstanding bathrooms, and these were not. Nice dog park, and lots if room to walk dog. Pool was really nice. Easy in and out. Pretty quiet.

Good size dog park. Having someone able to take our dog out to walk once a day was great. Clean and staff were nice. Free washers and dryers were great. The washers did the job but need to be replaced soon. The dryers were in great condition. Easy mostly pull through sites. Reasonable driving time to New Orleans.

Slidelll KOA was a haven and the owner and staff were so friendly and helpful. Their laundry is FREE if you can imagine and the park is clean and neat as a pin. We really enjoyed the trail system and rode our bikes on it several times. Thank you

Great KOA Journey Park, the best journey Park we’ve been to. Very spacious sites, separate private bathrooms, with showers. Free laundry facility. Beautifully maintained grounds. And with all the amenities mentioned, it now has an 18 hole disc golf course. Wonderful owners, friendly staff, just a wonderful park to stay.

It would have been nice to be notified of the tornado watch. Other KOAs have sent us text messages in the past to tell us where to go in case we needed to be safe

staff friendly and helpful, new campground, still has some bugs to work out, had free washers and dryers. bath houses are awesome. very quiet. they are still improving the campgrounds. I would stay there again.

Campground is very clean and the lots are spacious. We had a paw pen, a patio with a fire pit, a picnic table with an umbrella and a gas grill. There was also polywood resin type patio furniture. My grandkids had a great time fishing in the pond and swimming in the pool. The pool area was kept very well and there’s plenty of patio furniture for sitting or sunbathing. This KOA was Beautiful & the staff was the best. Queenie was so helpful in giving directions to get there & the fastest way to get back to the interstate. I Highly recommend this place.

We loved this KOA! Restrooms were always clean. It was quiet and sites were not crowded up next to your neighbors. My only complaint is that one night there was severe weather in the area and not being from the area we were not actually sure where it was. When I attempted to call the numbers I had I didn’t get an answer. Would like to have known where the safe place was.

This KOA was easy to find and close to New Orleans. We drove into the city. Quite easily. The spots were level and large enough to have ample room to park and not be crowded by the neighbors. It is a very beautiful park We were there three nights. The laundry was free, the showers were really nice. We would go back for a longer stay

We enjoyed staying at KOA Slidell due to Queenie and Noreen's pleasantness and all the campground features. Sorry so short but just completed a long review on Trip Wizard site for them.

I had a problem with my 50 amp cord. Staff was helpful in attempting to repair it. We were unable to fix so he made phone calls to local stores to find me a new one. Facilities were were good and clean. Highly recommend this campground!

We were at the KOA for a month during Mardi Gras we had never been to Louisiana they are doing a great job trying to get the KOA up and running I applaud their determination. Great group of people, very friendly, very clean place we enjoyed our stay. couple hiccups couldn't be helped. Looking forward to going back in a couple of years to see the progress.

One of the best koa’s we have stayed at. Large level sites. Free laundry was nice. Nice dog park. Lots of places to take a walk. One suggestion…….loved having the propane grill, but was pretty dirty

Great campground for an overnight or two. We stopped here for two nights, arriving in a driving rain that didn't stop for 24 hours. Staff was great, getting us checked in and reminding us about the crawfish boil the next day. The roads are paved and sites are gravel, with easy hookups. The sites are raised above the level of the road, which is a good thing, as the roads flooded the next day! We were snug and dry however, and with good wifi, we relaxed and streamed media while watching the rain fall and the water rise. The flooding drained away and we were able to leave on drying roads the next morning. Sorry to miss the crawfish boil! Maybe next time.

First time at this campground, and we loved it! The owners are super nice and accommodating. We forgot to pack our grill! I mentioned it while in the camp store, and the owners offered to bring us one. That was pretty impressive. The pool is HUGE and perfect for all ages - they even have a large “ledge” section of the pool that is perfect for toddlers. Bathrooms were immaculately clean. I love that the bathrooms in their bathhouses are independent from each other instead of the dorm style like many campgrounds. They even have a teak table to hold all of your shower supplies and clothes while you shower. Slidell has so much to offer any traveler - great food and scenery. Ate a fancy dinner one evening at Palmettos, and they, too, were extremely accommodating. We had reservations for 4, but then another couple wanted to join us - Palmettos added another table and chairs to our set up and acted like it was no big deal - but it WAS a big deal to us. Unfortunately, it rained almost the entire long weekend that we were there. While that is NOT the fault of the owners, the site we chose (65) was almost entirely flooded the whole weekend. Other than the flooded site, THAT is the ONLY reason for the 4 stars. Otherwise, they would have gotten 5!! We will come back, but we will book a different site. *We have our eye on the one with the patio set up and dog pen.
