We enjoyed staying at the Slidell KOA. Shortly after we arrived we amended our length of stay and the campground accommodated us with a few extra days and switched sites so there were no conflicts. There were no issues with any of the utilities. The restrooms were nice but the laundry was a little disappointing, There were only two washers and one of the was "out of service". Really?

Wonderful new KOA property! We could only stay one night, but we’ll be back when we’re visiting the area longer. Nice gravel site, easy connections, fast WiFi. Wish I could have shopped longer in the store - great Mardi Gras décorations!

This is a brand new park, it is layed out really nice. Has a great walking path, lots of nature and a quiet park. It’s close to stores and restaurants. I love the space between sites, definitely not a tight park. The office and park staff are friendly and welcoming. I will be returning in the future.

Amazing! Surprise LIVE Jazz musician and BBQ during the Super Bowl weekend, what a HOST! Kids loved the fishing pond, gorgeous pool, and park! Wishing this location years of success and happy campers!!!! P.S. The entire staff were so friendly and nice!

Beautiful park. Very friendly staff! Great gathering area behind the main office that overlooks a pond. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a new just opened campground approx 30 miles from New Orleans but you'd never know it. Quite, clean and friendly. Great campsites nice an roomy. Would like to see some additional lights on the backend of roads but it may still be in the plans. Highly recommend it. We will be back!

It was opening weekend, which was a lot of fun with the live entertainment and the food trucks. The facilities were new and very nice. It was secluded and quiet. The site was very nice. We were there for Super Bowl weekend and it was an easy drive to New Orleans. Great info on shuttles and places to eat. The large covered pavilion was a great entertainment space overlooking the peaceful pond.

Staff very friendly. Best dressed KOA staff member I ever saw at a campground. The food truck was great. Very nice stay.

Dang near perfect! It's close enough to NOLA to be convenient but far enough to be away from the crazy. Pulling in the attendant checked the electric in our spot and immediately moved us to a premium site when he spotted problems with the service. The office staff was awesome suggesting restaurants and local tourist spots. The Crawdad chimneys in our spot just added to the charm.

This is a really nice and new park. We were in a large spacious pull through with patio. It was amazing. Really enjoyed the use of the Weber Gas Grill and the fire pit. I would definitely stay here again if in the area given it’s proximity to the city and activities.

This is a new KOA property. It is set up very nicely, with ongoing development. It is very convenient for New Orleans day trippers and has some nice nature area near.

Great Location - However People are the Key To Success - and the folks here are passionate and well verse in the KOA experience. From the good mornings as they drive by in the golf cart to the morning camp site trash pick up service. The Location is Quiet, Safe, Great Swimming Pool & Club Facilities. After our short stay I can share that a long term stay would be an easy choice here!!

Beautiful new campground, opened 12/2024. Level gravel sites with a bump out to park a car. Large covered patio that overlooks a catch & release fishing pond. Fenced dog park, kids play area, different types of sites-some have a patio with umbrella, some have a fenced area for your dog, pull-thru and back-in sites. Very nice 10 day stay.

This is a new park and lots of space! Rest rooms were beautiful and surroundings were perfect!! I would return here! Pool was beautiful too. Winter chill probably too cold but beautiful! Well kept up park! Great job!

Comfy brand new KOA camp. Easy 35 min drive to New Orleans. If you have pets get the site with the dog penn. Sites are very wide and leveled. Beautiful patio with tables and hammocks. Quite rural ride. Freindly staff. Limited Laundry facility one machine

We have not been to a KOA in a very long time. We were impressed with this one. The bathrooms/showers were amazing!

Heading to Florida trying to stay ahead of the snow storms we found the KOA in Slidell, LA. They were gracious and very accommodating. Everything was new, except the washers and dryers. Nice size pull through lot. I wasn't thrilled with thier water clarity, but I choose to drink bottled water where ever I travel. I will return the next time that I travel through the area.

Great campground for an overnight or two. We stopped here for two nights, arriving in a driving rain that didn't stop for 24 hours. Staff was great, getting us checked in and reminding us about the crawfish boil the next day. The roads are paved and sites are gravel, with easy hookups. The sites are raised above the level of the road, which is a good thing, as the roads flooded the next day! We were snug and dry however, and with good wifi, we relaxed and streamed media while watching the rain fall and the water rise. The flooding drained away and we were able to leave on drying roads the next morning. Sorry to miss the crawfish boil! Maybe next time.

First time at this campground, and we loved it! The owners are super nice and accommodating. We forgot to pack our grill! I mentioned it while in the camp store, and the owners offered to bring us one. That was pretty impressive. The pool is HUGE and perfect for all ages - they even have a large “ledge” section of the pool that is perfect for toddlers. Bathrooms were immaculately clean. I love that the bathrooms in their bathhouses are independent from each other instead of the dorm style like many campgrounds. They even have a teak table to hold all of your shower supplies and clothes while you shower. Slidell has so much to offer any traveler - great food and scenery. Ate a fancy dinner one evening at Palmettos, and they, too, were extremely accommodating. We had reservations for 4, but then another couple wanted to join us - Palmettos added another table and chairs to our set up and acted like it was no big deal - but it WAS a big deal to us. Unfortunately, it rained almost the entire long weekend that we were there. While that is NOT the fault of the owners, the site we chose (65) was almost entirely flooded the whole weekend. Other than the flooded site, THAT is the ONLY reason for the 4 stars. Otherwise, they would have gotten 5!! We will come back, but we will book a different site. *We have our eye on the one with the patio set up and dog pen.
