It was a good stay. However we were in the remote campsites in the back of the property and no one back there abided by quiet hours.

The tent sites have been neglected for quite some time and are in dire need of maintenance and upgrade. There is very limited shade. The sites are NOT near the river . . . they back up to a diversion/irrigation ditch.

Nice tent camp site along creek. Clean rest rooms. bathrooms are a bit far from tent sites. Port-o -potti would be nice in that area. But all in all a good stay.

Office hours were short, closing at 4 on Friday is too early. Bathrooms were small and far from the tents. Campsite was clean and staff was friendly.

I was tent camping. The tent sites were great, scenic views, quiet, spacious and away from the big RVs. Showers and restrooms were clean.

Only issue was that the showers appeared to be dirty although I don't think they were, just drain cover and maybe some glue or other substance made it look that way.

Campround was clean and had what we needed. We just wish the tent sites were closer to the bathrooms! Walking to the showers in 30 degree weather is not ideal. Overall, great customer service and great facility.

Great place, so friendly. Clean and accommodating. They were even nice enough to give us a refund of one night when my wife felt unwell and we returned home a day early! Very kind of them ! Thanks

Restrooms to far from tent site. No general water source for tent area. We felt like we were in a primitive site not the standard we have seen in other KOA

The bathroom facility was a dump. At the rear of the showers (men's side I did not view the women's) is a French drain of sorts with standing foul water the result of previous showers. The drains of the showers were rusted, stained, soiled and filthy. Further, there was a family of black widow spiders behind the door at the entrance to the bathroom. Finally, the WiFi did not reach the campsites.

Horrible tiny little site. we didn't even stay there cuz it was so bad. the refund policy didn't even allow for me to get any money back for a cancelation at that late of date - we relied on faked photos and an exaggerated description by the employee to book it til we actually saw the site. I will never stay at KOA and will tell others of our poor experience. I guess that is how all KOA sites are.

Not particularly scenic. Only one functioning toilet during stay. Did have hot water, a plus. Rec room was a disaster - told updates/cleaning are planned (if I had a dollar for everytime I was told this from KOA locations I would be a rich man). Closing off at 4:30 in a business like this is very unusual and not really acceptable ... had to toss food because I couldn't get ice

The surrounding area rates a 10, but this campground has a long way to go to match other KOAs in the area. Our $40 for a tent site was a waste of money, because the men's restroom was unacceptable, and your drain/waste system needs work. We could have spent $11 to camp on national lands and used a pit toilet. You're up against the Buena Vista KOA. That facility is what I expect from KOA.

Great hot showers after hiking all day. Close to several trail access points for the Colorado Trail. Close to Waterdog Lakes trailhead. Close to Monarch Pass gondola ride as well as the Monarch Crest trail. 24 hour Community Room is nice place to hang out if you are tent camping and a storm arrives.

Considering the place only had one person doing almost everything because of lack of help (people not applying to be hired), the service was impeccable: kudos to the one lady doing it all to maintain the expected KOA experience.

It was ok. After staying at some of the KOAs this one was not nearly as nice. Having only the one restroom at the entrance was difficult. And the fact that the store closed at 4 pm was not good.

Nancy is doing an incredible job basically running the campground by herself. The new corporate reservation sucks, but she took the time to smooth it out.

Clean, well kept grounds. Beautiful tent camping area by stream. I would have liked a little more privacy. My space seemed to be open to a lot of traffic. Having hours of 11-4 makes it hard to connect with the office. I used email to check in and that seemed to work.

It was wonderful! The site was as private as it could be and nicely shaded. Bathrooms were clean and the showers amazing. The only drawbacks were the noise from the highway (which you can't do much about) and the distance from the tent sites to the bathroom. A small toilet facility back there somewhere would be a great improvement.

The setting is nice, but the men's bathroom was filthy the whole time we were there, and the soap dispenser in the women's was empty.

It was pretty nice but it would have been good if the laundry had soap and a change machine right in the laundry room instead of having to wait for the store to open. Also paper towels or an air dryer in the bathroom would have been good. There were paper towels sometimes but it tended to run out. The staff was super nice though.

We have never camped at a KOA before, and will not stay again in the future. The office/store hours were limited, although the staff we finally did interact with was nice, but not well informed of the local area or even the campground itself. The bathrooms were clean enough but there was never any paper towels to dry hands. Loose dog wondering around campground. Tent sites very super small.

Great location! So much potential. We stayed in a tentsite by the stream. So tranquil. Staff was nice and avail if needed. I think once they do some upgrades, this will be top notch. About 10-15mins from Salida and groceries if needed. We have Verizon and our phones worked fine, able to do a couple hrs of work using my mobile hs. Bathrooms are far fr tent sites and clean. Will go back.

Campground amenities are what you’d expect. Nothing fancy. The best thing about this KOA is the staff. They helped me out when I didn’t get to the camp store in time to buy ice before it closed so I didn’t have to drive back to town. The weekend was really rainy and we were in town with some teens for a trail race and it was not the best camping weekend but the staff went above and beyond.

We arrived after the office had closed but our reservation was waiting for us in your after hours book. It was easy to find our tent site even in the rain and facilities were great in the morning before departing

This was up at the Mt not far from the KOA. The KOA had great sites for RV and tent. The staff was very kind.
