No one was there to greet me. No information was left for me. Called and left a message with no returned call from them. Sites were not level, WiFi didn’t work, and showers weren’t cleaned daily. Worst KOA experience I’ve had.

Arrived very late, around 10pm. It was very unexpected that we were greeted by a very fine gentleman that helped us find and get situated in our campsite. It was very windy and cold. Great place to stay:) My expectations were very much exceeded by our greeting. Thank you!

KOA Salida/Mt Shavano was clean, quiet, and beautifully located. I highly recommend it.

Love the campground. Having a stonger internet connection and better water pressure would greatly increase the feeling towards this spot as a place to stay.

The water pressure at our site was very low so we had to use our RV pump the entire stay. I called and left a message at the office, only open from 10 m to 4 pm, regarding this and they never called back or stopped by our site. Our next door neighbor told us that they had the same problem, as well as their neighbor so I guess this is a problem with the entire property.

The location was ideal for a trip into the wilderness to see the Aspens, however, the zero water pressure at our site was not acceptable. The sites also are small, barely wide enough for our camper (20 footer with no slides). We will probably not return here in the future.

Marti and Gino are the best!!!! They both helped us with getting setup and even the next morning with wonderful coffee at the office with Marti. Gino was always available to help with questions or help us in any way we needed. Many thanks to you both for making our stay so enjoyable.

Very friendly staff. Clean, well groomed sites. A little challenging squeezing in a long 5th wheel with the rock islands at the sites, consider shortening them by a foot or two.

This has the potential to be a really great KOA, but is lacking in the usual KOA quality. The sites are great. However, the operation leaves much to be desired. We arrived at 4 pm on a Saturday and the office and store was closed, even though the hours posted said it should be open. Our reservation was on the night board. The wifi was unusable. We expect better at KOA.

Great campground with good views of the mountains. The pull through space was roomy. The campground is very clean and quiet. Close to Salida.

It's extremely difficult to pull a long trailer through those spots. It was only possible because the spot across from me was empty when I was parking and leaving. Otherwise it was a nice stay!

Could improve the wifi and also allowing skirting of RVs make it look like you have some permanent residents and looks a little shady.

The park is well-kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. The views are beautiful. This was our second stay for 8 days. We enjoyed it and will return.

Camp ground has great spacing but was disappointed that we didn’t know about the plumbing issues so no laundry or showers. We try and schedule KOA on wash day so has I known I could have found a laundromat. It may have been on the site when I booked but I don’t recall seeing anything about the lack of the above mentioned amenities and no discount applied .

The only negative thing I can say about the campground is that it needs more shade for the RV area. Otherwise it was a great experience. Marti in the office was very accommodating and knowledgeable and just a really nice lady!

I always enjoy my stay at this KOA. I primarily love the location--being close to so many outdoor activities yet still feeling remote and secluded. Always a favorite of mine.

The facility was very clean and staff was friendly. However, the water pressure was so low that we could not use the water directly as it was too low to work. Instead we had to fill the tank (which was a very slow process) and use our storage tank water. The wifi was very sporadic and even when available it was insufficient for even managing emails. The location was beautiful.

Our site had dirty paper towels, cigarette butts, q-tips and tie wrap pieces everywhere. I picked up the paper towels so my dogs wouldn’t eat them. Very little (horrible) water pressure, and wifi was non existent in the park. Dog park is located at front of park, and is fenced in dirt area with no shade. Marti was great help and made us feel welcome! Lovely are with so much to do in surrounding areas. We are returning next summer for longer trip .Perhaps next summer more on site activities for the kiddos!

Very nice campground with astounding, friendly staff. I have been on site for 6 months. I had to laugh at reading some of the reviews. There are campground rules to follow and to many people come in the park thinking these rules don't apply to them. Such as taking items from other sites that aren't occupied at the moment, speeding, chopping down the campground trees because they don't want to buy wood, starting huge bonfires that aren't safe for anyone around. So yes, if you come in the park thinking the rules don't apply to you, you will most likely get a talking to and deservedly so. The rules are here to keep everyone safe and to keep the grounds nice.
