We were looking for a quick overnight as we were passing through. This KOA was clean and peaceful. The showers were up to the regular KOA standards, very clean and in new condition. I was surprised by the number of what looked like long term campers but it was very quiet and peaceful. I would recommend this KOA if you are looking for a place just off the freeway.

The space was too short for my described vehicle. The service was 30 amp when I requested 50 amps. The desk person did not care or attempt to addmy issues or the person in front of me who had similar issues. His solution was yoi may have to disconnect your trailer and park on the side but don't block the aisle.

When we arrived I felt unwelcome and rushed by the front desk. The spot we were assigned was not our preference- backed up to a fence, next to the pool, and no area for our dogs. We upgraded to another spot but right next to a resident, again we asked to be moved and were told all spots were full. During our stay the park wasn’t full, we felt stuck next to questionable activities and visitors

Two toilets and showers for 203 sites! Mywife found out by accident that there are showers and toilets in the office building available when the office is open. That doesn’t help at 6:00 in the morning. People nearly ran in front to get there first! Very unacceptable. Plus there are two areas in the campground that have string sewer odor! In 40 years of KOA camping a first, no tents!

We were greeted kindly by “Chip!” She was very helpful and professional. We’ve stayed at this KOA numerous times and it’s always been a positive experience. We’ll be back!

Nice park with beautiful views but too many full timers in the majority of the park, with quite a few appearing to be on drugs. We were able to get a pull thru spot that just fit our truck and trailer so we didn't have to unhook for our one night stay, but we were a little nervous leaving our things in the bed of the truck due to the surrounding company.

The bathrooms were always occupied. And the power went out. Not really in their control with the power outage but it just adds to the inconvenience with the bathrooms.

On Sept 16th we were evacuated by the fire department and the police. They were actually inside the campgrounds telling campers not to hook up and leave. They were using bullhorns and whoop whoop sirens. Art Crowder, the KOA manager actually told me there was no evacuation after I asked for a refund. I sent an Internet search for proof. And he still calls me a liar and will not return my calls.

Mostly level sites that require minimal levelling. Bathroom suites are always immaculate. James is a pleasure to deal with, friendly and competent. Nearby Verdi Grillhouse & Casino has amazing food,

Staff is very pleasant and allow us to move our trailer to one that was not next to quite as much traffic coming in. We were very appreciative and utilize the location fairly often. Wind is only issue later afternoon but great on / off way access

Great customer service. Hard-working, down-to-earth, and very helpful. They do an amazing job keeping the bathrooms, showers, and grounds clean, especially during Burning Man visitor stays. This is my go-to play in the area. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. They have become like family!

The Water handle was VERY hard to turn on and off at our A63 site. We also felt there were way too few shower/toilets available for so many RVs (compared to other KOAs we've been to.

Easiest check-in ever. Super friendly staff. Grandkids loved the pool. The pull-thru sites had nice tables. The back sites were old wood tables. We were backed up to the river. The site were half gravel, half pavement. They should clear out those weeds and put it nice plants or leave it open. Some sites had lawns and some had dirt. We will probably go back though. Really windy but that’s Verdi.

We had never stayed at Boomtown before and thought, why not? It’s close to where we live and we thought it would make a nice weekend getaway. There are over 200 RV spots times at least 2 people in each spot makes for at a minimum of 400 people and after 7:00 PM there are only 2 bathrooms! The lines for the showers at night are LONG. And they are not the cleanest bathrooms, think mildew showers.

The first spot I stayed in wasn't level - most of them aren't. The second spot I stayed in, the neighbor trailer was parked in the wrong place and had a slide-out so I couldn't use my spot correctly - I only used electric and never hooked up sewer or water. I was assured that the neighbor was going to move soon, but it didn't happen until 1am, with his loud truck that beeped when in reverse! UGH

We didn’t plan this stay because we broke down. Larry was so helpful in getting us a site where the tow truck could drop our trailer and then take our truck to Reno ford . We didn’t no how long we would be there and it was a holiday weekend.He made it work for us . We were there 9 days . They were so helpful . It’s a quiet park at night and had security . Nice spots clean laundry room.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The border of the grounds had a nice view of the river. Mature trees provided some shade. RV slots varied in slope and paving. I liked the location. The Best Western hotel and casino was within walking distance, and there was a gas station, another restaurant and casino, and a huge sporting goods store conveniently located nearby. East interstate access.

Bathrooms could have been cleaner...an extra employee due to Burning Man would have been prudent. Thanks for giving us an extended stay in order for us to purchase a new part.

This spot generally worked for our needs (camper van, 2 adults and a dog). The only issue we had was limited showers/restrooms. It was a 2 hour wait for a shower after 8pm. This location needs more stand-alone restrooms and to keep more of the showers open 24h.

A great place to stay overnight on your way to get to your destination. This is not what I consider as a campground. Lot's of pavement with narrow spaces. More like parking lot camping. The staff was very nice.

The welcome felt cold and unwelcoming from check-in. On top of that, the laundry facilities were closed for both days of our stay, which was a real inconvenience since we needed to wash our clothes/RV linens. For the price we paid, we expected better service and functioning amenities. Wouldn't recommend based on this visit.

Most unwelcoming campground experience I’ve had. Arrived after hours as prearranged, but our spot was occupied, leaving us in a tight space. In the morning we were told, “Burners pay $20 for a shower” and this was “the most annoying time of year.” We weren’t charged, but the restroom they said was just cleaned had a visibly dirty toilet. The staff here was probably the most welcoming and friendly we experienced during our travels. They made a great first impression and were genuinely helpful. The campground itself is essentially a parking lot, and the sites are narrow and a little awkward to get into. That said, the views surrounding the campground are beautiful and definitely one of its best features. Boomtown Casino is just a walk up the hill, and the campground gave us several coupons for activities and attractions there. We didn't really use them, but they would be a great bonus for families traveling with younger kids. Overall, the sites weren't our favorite, but the incredibly welcoming staff, convenient location, and great views made for a good stop.

This was a bit crowded, but the Tall guy in the office was able to get us into a great level spot. And security even took us to the Casino! Will stay again if we're on the area!
