Had issues with the guy next to us, felt we invaded his space, and my husband had to move over when he shouldn't have, he had to many of his own vehicals plus a golf cart. Your dog park was the worst I've seen during our trips. To many long-term people. Pretty area that's about it.

Front desk personel are very friendly and helpful. Free bottled water much appreciated. Bathrooms & showers are outstanding! We enjoyed our stay!

The noise from the traffic and the train were horrible. The bathrooms were dirty and my husband's service dog broke out in hives for the first time ever after being there for only 30 minutes. We have stayed at a lot of KOS's from Virginia to Oregon and this was the worst we have ever stayed at. Will not recommend or stay again.

We originally were going to stay at Grand Sierra Resort but felt extremely uncomfortable due to homeless people along the river walk. We left GSR and came to KOA Boomtown. We immediately felt more comfortable and secure. The spot was a little narrow but there were trees and grass. We were able to put up our pet fence for the dogs who loved the grass. The staff at this KOA were very nice.

Very clean and quiet. Lush trees and grass for strolling. Good pet areas. Fire ring and charcoal BBQ for use at your site. Deluxe RV site has cement outdoor dining area and table. Prompt check in and plenty of room to park with forty foot RV. I noticed they also have security patrol the premises.

Both times we had issues with what seem to be permanent residents. The park has gone down hill. Move your permanent to one side and keep the overnighters where they don’t feel like they will get mugged. Our permanent neighbors had a huge dog that crapped all over the ground making leaving in the am a chore to jump around huge piles of diarrhea. Also Pitbull dogs everywhere! Sad

Very friendly and helpful employees. clean and quiet. Stayed 6 nights and ended up adding another 3 with no problem. the area is beautiful and omly about 30 minutes from Donner Lake! Will definately stay there again.

Nice campground very conveniently located, except the guy with a long beard is the worst KOA employee I ever had to deal with. Never eager to help, he doesn’t like his job and doesn’t do anything to hide it

Stopover for 3-4 days, all the staff was very helpful and courteous. Restrooms were clean as was the RV Park. Sites had plenty of room hook ups were right next to your RV, had good WiFi reception.

Too many perm residents. Too many rowdy kids wandering around at 9p. Bathrooms on lockdown from 10p to 6a......even though they have security codes...they are still overridden and locked up.

Close to the casino, dogs allowed in the shuttle and in the casino. Small space to park the rig but great location for one night to drive on to your further out location.

We had the worst site we have ever had in all of our stays at any KOA, or at any other park. I booked in advance. When we pulled in an saw our site, I immediately went to the front desk to ask for a different site. She said there wasn't any other sites available. Then I asked if we could get a refund since the site was not acceptable. She said that we could not get a refund. AWFUL.

Meh. Reminds me of the old KOAs we stayed at with our kids 40 years ago. Service was friendly enough, but not particularly helpful (“No, we don’t have a list of TV channels. Would you like to buy an ice cream bar?”) And what’s the deal with restrooms being closed from 10:00 - 6:00?

“Renie” gets 10 stars!! Cleanly bathrooms gets 10 stars. We left campground at 6 am and the dump spot was locked so that was frustrating.

We were evacuated from our home due to the Davis Creek Fire, and pulled our small r-pod over to the Boomtown KOA. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The facilities for laundry and showers were clean and well kept. We had paid in advance for 3 more nights when we got the word we could go home, and the staff very kindly reimbursed us for all 3 nights. Definitely recommend this campground.

Staff was amazing!! Had an issue with power and was immediately moved to another spot. The campground was clean and quiet. I only stayed one night as I was passing through, and will definitely stay again if I'm in the area. Thank you

Camp has transformed itself into an even better KOA. Three years ago visit compared to last week's visit.... WOW, place looks great! Also love the new feature of being able to be picked up and dropped off at the casino! Trees are filling in. Grass is greener. Good Job!

We really love it here, The employees are very nice and helpful, the view is awesome in the back! Quiet and peaceful. We’ve invited two other friends to stay here also, Rossiter’s and Hillmans stayed at the hotel!!

Location was being closed in on by new houses. Did not feel like camping. Some long term residents were loud and obnoxious with a bit of tweeting going on and racing of their motorcycles up and down the roads. Felt like we really needed to watch our things

Not maintained well, water from m broken sprinklers, a lot of “resident” campers with sheds and personal belonging laid out. Looked like homeless encampment. KOA used to be a nice place to camp. This is the second KOA I’ve seen this way.

The site was littered and covered with pine needles. It's a huge RV park but only has two bathrooms that are available 24 hours a day
