We were able to get in last minute after another resort had to cancel. The showers and staff were nice. The morning we were going to leave, landscapers showed up at 7 and stood waiting by our grass patch while I had to dump, pack up connections, then started mowing around me. Instead of moving to another grass patch they just stood there waiting awkwardly.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They bad thing is they charge if you arrive early. Other KOAs we were at did not charge. Lawns at sites need some work. Lots of mud going in/out of RV.

We were just passing through and had a site with views of the Trucker River. The staff was great and facility was clean and well kept.

Electrical pile broken. Asphalt pad failing. To stay on the pad we had to pull so close to the electrical box that we could not extend one slide fully. Loose boards for form for asphalt was a tripping hazard. Trench at the stair end. Tall weeds. Wifi buffering all evening

My reservation was for 4 days but I could only stay one night due to a family emergency. The staff were so friendly and understanding. They were able to give me a refund. While I was there, I thought the grounds were clean and accommodating. I wish I could have stayed long enough to use the pristine pool.

The campground was very nice. The restrooms and showers were very clean. Everyone who worked in the office/store were very helpful, especially James who was extremely helpful in choosing our site!

cable not working WIFI was terrible , could not dump waste from my trailer until office hours makes it hard to keep on my trip that late!!

The last two times I’ve stayed at the RV part the internet and tv didn’t work. Also , no shuttle bus to casino.

We love the park. The problem was the bathrooms. We were completely locked out. The bathrooms were supposed to be open at 6 am. They were not unlocked until after 8pm. That was even after the office was open. The night before about 6pm I tried to use the bathrooms inside the office. They would not let me in. They said they were dirty. Also on phone they said we could check in early.then charged us

It was really a great stay ..I went to Virginia City which is just a 40 minute drive and then on to Carson City..There was a really nice employee I cant remember his name but he has a long grey beard ..I believe he works the afternoon shift ..he has a small dog ..he helped me out bigtime....I would just like to say thanks again to him..

We stayed at the Boomtown KOA for two nights while in Reno for a tournament. When we arrived we discovered the spot we had picked was too short for our 5th wheel trailer. Although the campground was nearly full staff found a spot that would fit our rig. A huge shout out to Katie for making this happen. She was so kind and accommodating!

Overpriced and shouldn't be a Journey. No lounge, no restaurant, no gift shop, no playground and no activities. Long-term guests with household furniture, permanent porches and storage. Pool area poorly maintained. Long grass, weeds everywhere and tired furniture cushions. Registration sheet says full access to all hotel amenities but not true. Bathroom hours and cleaning are inconsistent.

We had a back in, KOA is next to a heavily construction area, so dust was everywhere. Pool was a little on the dirty side, hot tub not working at hot tub temperatures, jets only. Overall, people were nice though.

Definitely have a few comeplaints. First off the bathrooms are not 24 hours. What kinda of campground locks the bathrooms. 2nd the bathrooms they do have are also the showers so once the office closes there is 2 for the entire place. The wifi wasn't strong like advertised. Their cable was down. A couple of the front desk were on the rude and unhelpful side. Unfortunately not worth 70 a night.

When we arrived to our spot...We had to pull the weeds before we pulled in. The one thing we looked forward to was a hot shower. No hot water. I will not return.

We paid $73 for a slot. We were pulling a trailer that doesn’t have its own bathroom. 10:30 PM the bathrooms are locked up tighter than a drum. We have NEVER been to a KOA where this is the case. To pay that much and then have to pee on the grass at edge of camp ground. REALLY?!?!?!!!!

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this park. They're under new management. The new staff was friendly and helpful, and the facilities are well maintained. The downside is that it seems that there are a lot of long-term guests and they get all the best sites with the grass and trees, so if you're just passing through you're going to get a site on the outside edge in the gravel.

It's a parking lot. Don't expect much. What's even more annoying is they charge guests an additional $20 to use the dump station. Quite the racket they have going on that.

We were placed into a site that was very difficult to get into; this was even told to us by the woman in the office that greeted us. This woman also let us know that both the wi-fi and cable may not work. We didn’t try the wi-fi and the cable was marginal. The site did not have a table so we requested one but we never received one. The site was very unlevel.

The spaces were super tight/close together, even for a KOA. We had to level our 23’ Airstream, which is crazy in a parking lot you have to pay so much for.

Our stay was great! Everyone from the staff to the campers were friendly and courteous. I would definitely come back and stay. Had a great view of the Truckee River.

No hot water while we were there and internet was very slow. It was a distance away from downtown but that's all we could get. The park was nice and had the right amenities except what was previously mentioned. If I was going to reno for an extended stay, i would stay there again.

No hot water so showers were unavailable. Pool didn’t open until after 4:00 one day. We had grandsons with us (ages 9 & 11). It was hard trying to keep them busy without the pool.

We took our 5 yr old grandsons camping for the first time, so we stayed close home. Our original site didn't allow us to open our slides fully due to tree placement. Katie, in the office, was very helpful and moved us to a site that worked for us. The park was clean and pretty quiet. The pool was a big hit with our grandsons as was the Fun Center. I would recommend this park. Katie is awesome!

Great location and a decent campground but was no hot water for showers, laundry or the swimming pool. For folks that wanted cable tv or wanted to use their internet they were not working properly either. Also quite a few of the water hook ups are leaking and need some maintenance. That said, have stayed here before and will again. Hopefully all will be good next time.

Agree with others...its a parking lot with hookups. Lots of really large rigs here. However if you're here when it's a little less crowded you'll find it more appealing. Clean and well kept shower areas, bathrooms and a laundry facility. Lots of pets traveling along for the trip with their owners around the park. Folks walking dogs walk by often. Some follow park rules others don't. Watch where you step! Housing development just being built on the north side of the park. It won't be nearly as private soon.
