The park was well kept and even with construction going on it was not that noisy. Lots of dogs at this park, most of them well behaved a couple that would bark early in the morning during quiet time. Our spot had a patio with a table and chairs and was large enough for our trailer and tow vehicle. Close to everything. You are within an hour of most tourist attractions.

Dry nice rv park very friendly staff the site we were in was nice had a little more dirt then we would have liked but we enjoyed the site very much. We did miss the pancakes but understood do to the building a new facility and looks like it’s going to be very nice.

Staff very helpful and pleasant. Sites are very large and well maintained. Bath rooms, showers and laundry facilities always clean. I felt every employee was happy for us being therr.

A nice KOA campground with a new pool area and new camp office that was under construction. I was disappointed with our camp site because of ruts and lack of gravel. Rain that night caused muddy areas in the camp site the next morning that could not be avoided. As a result, I tracked mud into my tow vehicle which was not good. They need to invest in gravel for roads and sites.

Such friendly people that run Rapid City KOA. Very accommodating for our stay! The only thing negative was the bathroom was smelly and dirty both times I visited. Used the showers once and they were not clean to my standards. We just used the bathroom in our RV. Wasn’t a deal breaker for us as the park itself was well maintained. It was a very nice campground! Very clean . They were very accommodating to our requests and worked with us when we had car trouble. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this site to anyone!

Really enjoyed our stay. Convenient to landmarks, activities, tourist attractions and restaurants. Volunteer staff were wonderful and welcoming. We enjoyed chatting with them. Grounds were clean. We didn't have need for restrooms or shower. The only trouble for us was the super loud race track that seemed to be in the back yard. Amenities were fine, to be expected for a "Holiday", except for the untrimmed tree on the entrance to the site. A 60 yr old woman shouldn't have to carry the bundles of firewood, and an escorted should be offered to all sites, not just "some sites?". Not sure what the $2.17/dog fee is for, but when an employee is asked the question, the response of "most KOAs have that fee" is not ok to me. More..

Some thing are better than others like nice pool but it would be nice if your Hot Tub was working. Some of your staff needs to learn how to be a little bit nicer to the guest after all we are making there pay check .

We were never told Google Maps had incorrect directions to the Rapid City KOA. Our fifth wheel is 44’4” so not easy to maneuver in tight spaces. Not many Directional Signs � Our site was mediocre . Picnic table weather worn, splinters etc. Grass needed mowing. Our space was 128. Premium

We find Rapid City campground is well maintained and being improved yearly. We have stayed there at least 2 times a year for the past 18 years and will continue to. There is always something to do there and good eating establishments.

Shower Facilities were not very clean! There 3 days and a soap dispenser never got refilled. Our site was poorly designed as septic near road so pull thru I had to disconnect my car trailer and put in front so RV could reach the septic. Upon checking the KOA employee was not very friendly. We will not be back.

The electrical needs some we work. Our site had sparks and power surges all night long. Once the construction is complete, it will look really nice. I’m not a huge fan of the small spaces, but they are maintained

Stay was very good except for so many potholes in the roads. Very bumpy going and coming. Sites were nice and some shade where we were.

We were asked not to put out our rug but there was no grass, just mud. The sewer was uphill from the parking spot so it was a bit of an issue to empty the tanks. Also, the laundry room closest to the pool needs attention as there are 5 washers with 3 large dryers, which I can appreciate however only one dryer worked. The bottom left runs cold + top right dryer coin slot is jammed. No bill changer.

The park was nice enough and most of the people were very friendly. BUT the lady that checked me in was somewhat rude. We are retired and try to keep our travel days around 200 miles. I didn’t realize we were crossing a time zone so we ended up arriving 30 minutes before check in. I was told I had to either wait or pay $15. Clean campground with level site. They have some construction going on for a new main building but it didn’t really hamper check-in or getting into the campground. They have fun activities going on at the park— s’mores on the night we were there. We were only stopping for the night but we enjoyed our stay.

We usually stay at this park when we visit Rapid City. It is convenient to downtown with lots of options for sites. Next time we will definitely choose one of the sites with concrete pull throughs and patio furniture, as the gravel sites tend to get a bit muddy when it rains. Which it often does there in the summer.

Park is upgrading the facility resulting in construction noise and a huge amount of mud to go thru getting to our site. Restrooms and showers were clean. When construction is finished shoild be a better park.

I wish either more shade trees or an umbrella was available to rent during our stay. Even with the awnings out the sun was too hot to enjoy the upgraded patio until the sun set in the evenings. The laundry was clean and machines were in proper working order.

Great pool and hot tub area! The new main lodge is going to be beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very quiet park with easy access from highway.

Good city campground. Great service and I thought we had a great view of Rapid City. The pancakes are great and the rest rooms were excellent.

Incredible staff. The only negative reviews I've read about this place, say the staff can be unkind, unfriendly, or unwelcoming, and that's absolutely nonsense. We stayed this weekend, July 10-12, and Carla was the first to welcome us, and she couldn't have been any sweeter. We've shared pictures of family members & kids , swapped stories , laughed & been pleased with every staff member we've engaged with. We live just in Hot Springs, and have literally said multiple times we'll be back for sure , just because of their hospitality. Legitimately awesome crew.
