The KOA was in a winterized mode when we arrived however we still enjoyed full hookups. You can see that the grounds are meticulously cared for and is a wonderful place to enjoy the area. Super friendly staff too that was getting the KOA ready to open for the season. Would definitely stay again.

The entire team is a bunch of racists! Our trailer had a mishap, we had booked a site and a cabin and wanted to extend a night but were refused saying the site is full. We could see open sites online, for starters! Sheriff threats, waiting for my partner to leave to threaten me, asking us to not eat lunch on the site - what's wrong with the team here?! Not recommending Rapid City KOA to anyone!

Was late when we got in and rain storm caused a leak that we had to tend to elsewhere. Didn’t use the amenities or see much of it in daylight, but still great to park and sleep

Very, very nice spot. One of the days we stayed there was raining the whole day and we did not got one bit of mud on the RV.

Arrived to the KOA in pouring down rain. Everyone was very friendly & helpful. Mike escorted us to our site & waited til we backed in. Patio sites are so nice!

Great hospitality. We were only there passing through, but I was very impressed with the friendly staff and their helpfulness on our arrival. I would definitely stay here again on a longer visit.

The people in the office are incompetent and rude. I don’t know how many times I spelled out for them exactly what I needed and they looked at me like I was speaking a different language. Completely incompetent.

A handy place to stay to get things done in the Rapid City area, and see some of the Black Hills sights as well. Clean and well-organized. Note that the pool closes around Labor Day and the whole camp closes by October 15, if you are planning a fall visit.

Great location to visit Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, and Wind Cave. For the first time in my 8 years of RV travels I had a site that did not need any leveling.

Office staff were very helpful and pleasant. Sites are close together, but that seems typical for Koa campgrounds.

Pretty nice, fairly quiet, decent showers, TV & WiFi spotty. Front desk not up to speed on Monument Hwy conditions, could not switch out payment options. But overall OK stay.

The campground is really nice, laundry, showers and restrooms are very clean and well kept. The camp hosts are pleasant and helpful even when they are super busy. The campsites are clean and level and quiet, we would for sure stay here again when in the area.

Unfortunately we were stuck near another camper that rode their ATV around all the time, had their dogs barking constantly, and their dogs pooped in everyone’s campground. I confronted them about their dogs poop but they denied it. It shouldn’t be my job to police people like that. Everything else was good but unfortunately staff did nothing to fix the unruly campers.

A very nice KOA with a wide-range of services that support the camping experience. The campground is in the city, although close to the city's edge. This year the drier growing conditions are somewhat evident in the vegetation around the campground, but still overall a great experience. Love their all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast!

We stayed at this KOA for five days. Pros: Great staff, helpful and a nice store. Sites are great with plenty of room for big rigs. Nice laundry room and showers. Cons: If multiple big rigs are checking in at once it causes a bottleneck and blocks access to and from the entrance.

This was a nice place to stay. We wanted electric and water at our tent site, but instead paid a little extra to be in an RV site. That worked great for us. The bathrooms were nice enough. The offerings -- all you can eat pancake breakfast for $2.99 was nice (we didn't have any), but that was a nice perk.

The park is great. It was very quiet. The dog park could be a little larger giving some room for the dogs to actually run.

I really liked our stay here. The KOA is conveniently located to Rapid City downtown, Mount Rushmore, etc. Our site was long with concrete pad, tables/chairs, and grass! Probably one of the best sites we have had as we didn't have neighbors on one side which meant more grass! Very conveniently located. Friendly staff. Laundry on site is convenient. I will definitely stay here again.

Great place, friendly staff, clean bath and laundry. Great sites for all. Good level spots. Close to all the Black Hills National Forest has to offer. Central to Badlands, Spearfish Canyon and Devils Tower. Cabins, cottages, tent sites, and a nice new pool area. 2 laundry facilities and 3 shower houses. Always clean.
