Campground Reviews

We find camping in USA expensive. We were told there was wifi but there wasn’t. Wifi is available but at a cost. The laundry and washrooms were excellent.

We always enjoy staying at this campground. It is clean and conveniently located for all things in Anchorage and the Matanuska Valley.

The post for the electric is on the wrong side and only 2 amp. The site was not very level. The washers are on their way out. Showers were nice and clean. Got laundry done and got a good nights sleep.

Stayed 3 days and had everything that we needed. We had to check in early and then check out late and they were able to accommodate us. Very pleasant campground and quiet area. We would use again! Thanks again.

Only complaint is that it is a bit too crowded for us but otherwise all amenities were great!

The park is great! The cabins are terrible. One saggy double bed even tho it said “Sleeps 4.” We had no fire pit or patio furniture like in the description. Fan was broken. We ran out of toilet paper. Staff was very friendly tho, thank you. Please fix the description for the cabins and include some interior photos!

Great team in the office, made us feel like we were welcome, and part of the family. We were here about 10 years ago and is much better. Good location for us, was close to all we wanted to see. One gig was dumpster full and over flowing, maybe because of that holiday.

The directions given by the KOA website were incorrect and showed the campground at the end of the airport. We drove back and forth numerous times as well as into people’s driveways and yards attempting to locate the site. I understand that this campground is changing over to KOA. By the time we arrived, the office was closed even though the OPEN sign was on. The mountain scenery was spectacular

Staff friendly, gravel sites. Sites spacious did motorhome and tow behind. Bathrooms clean. Nice place , close to highway but could not hear any traffic.

Great stay except for the following: 1. Campers drinking and partying both nights past 2 am. 2. Disappointed in bathroom faucets with only very hot water- too hot to wash hands. Wish there was cold water option to rinse face or wash child’s hands with warm water. 3. Told we would be charged extra for slightly early check in when there is no notice or indication on the reservation- only lat

Great staff, great place to stay.

Don’t show up early! Could tell you more but am only allowed 400 characters, so I don’t think KOA really wants to hear from you.

Very friendly staff. Campsite was level. Showers and bathrooms were very clean.

Great campground, On our second stay the manager was flexible and allowed us to to get a different spot, which was important to us at the time. Thank you and we will be back the next time we go that way. chris

This campground is new to the KOA family. Many updates have been made but they still have a ways to go. Easy to access campground.

Quiet, centrally located RV park. We’ve enjoyed staying here for years. Hoping that the change to KOA will not change that.

Stayed two days. Easy in/out. Highway noise is there but not too bad, slept just fine.

All was great except for the steep charge for the two extra days "because it was a Holiday weekend" when the park was seriously below capacity.

We had a great overnight at your park. Our grandchildren loved the play area and large green grass areas to run in. It was nice to have a designated area for pets to do their business also. And the restrooms were amazingly clean. Great job.

Staff was the best. Would stop and assist to any of your needs to include on ground propane fill. Everyday they are improving the park. Best campground in the area. Highly recommend the KOA in Seward as well. I will be back to both!

This is one of the nicest KOAs I have camped at. I read some really negative reviews of this place before it became a KOA, but clearly whoever purchased it for the KOA franchise has made some very nice improvements. We camped on site 26. The electric pedestal was in good working order. The bathrooms were recently tastefully updated and the showers were clean. The laundry room was also clean and the staff was attentive to an issue with one washing machine. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They offer a dump station and propane as well as a large covered pavilion (which allows campers to be outside but under cover on the many rainy days Alaska has). The location is near the highway and was a bit noisy, but the flip side of location is that it is very convenient to Palmer and Wasilla and is great for folks who want to get on the road to another destination without driving through a lot of traffic lights in town. It is also very near a hospital, should an emergent situation arise. I highly recommend this KOA for upholding the standards we expect in a KOA.

Stayed for 3 weeks and would definitely stay there again. The park is very nicely maintained. The showers, bathrooms, and laundry are very clean!! Lots of grass for the fur babies & a nice play area for the kiddos. The Koa workers are always out working and making improvements . Thanks , Ginger, James & Allison and the lady that drives the tractor like she stole it!! ( sorry! Didn't get her name but she did a great job ) for making our stay pleasant!!!
