Soo Line Trail / Onamia KOA Reviews

We’re there four nights and put over 300 miles onto the trails. The koa was very clean. Workers are very friendly and helpful.

The campsite felt very familiar friendly. There was not a lot of shade but the lodge was comfortable. The indoor are was nice for the kids to cool off. I was disappointed in the trail for hiking as it was just a paved path. Ther was not a lot for older kids to do but the little kids had a small playground and the owners would mix it up for the little by bring out new activities every day.

This was a great stop with friendly mgmt. well cared for property. Would love to see more trees or privacy between spaces but sites were nice and level. WiFi didn’t quite reach us though. We loved the two person shower inside, it was perfect to families with little kids, best shower in all of our stops!!

Very clean and quiet campground. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Had some issues with the new to us travel trailer we were using and they came out and helped us fix the problems. Very thankful! Will definitely be back and already told our camping friends about this place!

We stayed in one of the rooms in the Bear's Den, so it was really like a motel stay. It was a very nice and quiet room, with pleasant pastoral views from the windows. The owners were friendly and accommodating. The closest town, Onamia, is about a mile away, walkable via the Soo Line trail, where we saw many birds plus groundhogs. Not much in Onamia, but we got a good breakfast at Farm Market Cafe

What a WONDERFUL campground! Owners on site, very hospitable, immaculate grounds and perfect grass, everything is in like new condition. The bathrooms and laundry are amazing. There is a trail that connects to the campground and we used it to scooter to town where we hit the post office, dollar general and local watering hole! Thoroughly enjoyed this visit to the Onamia KOA, 5 stars! -Rob Rogers

Very nice, very clean.

We rented the two room family suite. My only complaint is that the door between rooms was nonexistent - there should be a closeable door for privacy. The mattresses are the most comfortable I've experienced at a KOA. Owner was very friendly. The amenities they offer were fun and well kept. We plan to go back in a couple months.

Was told different information at check in vs. Online info. Was given a spot near where I chose as a "comp" privilege. Only 2 sites available for grandfathered in MOR/TRA members, not full hook up. A 5 year agreement is in place. The campground itself was clean and the new owner was nice. Trail entrance needs a bit of TLC. Protecting the sand pipers nests was nice.

This KOA is under new management and they are doing a nice job of campground maintenance. They are updating the facilities and adding amenties. The campground and bathrooms were very clean. Work has been done to level out the camp sites. Campground is directly on the Soo-Line trail making it convenient for biking or ATV activities. Able to bike or ATV into Onamia or Waukhon. Owners are welcoming.

Stayed in the cabin. Very nice, clean, secure with lots to offer.

Autumn was friendly, kind, and so very helpful. The campground is very pleasant and quiet. We actually turned our Memorial Day weekend trip into our seasonal getaway spot. We truly look forward to spending our time away here.

First time staying here. We came for the access to the trails. We were welcomed by kimberly and the other campground host they were super friendly and helpful with everything. They made our stay even better. Therebwere a ton of activities we learned about when we got there and will be staying again in the future.
