This is a small campground in its second season. It is very clean, the bathrooms and showers were modern and well maintained. There is a small camp store on site with cold drinks and ice cream available and they have arranged with a local restaurant to deliver food directly to your site. I highly recommend giving this KOA a try if you’re passing through Ogallala, NE or visiting Lake McConaughy.

I was very disappointed in the site in that it was very basic without a patio or any amenities other than picnic table. I thought the site was overpriced at over $70.00 per night for graveled site in the open with no shade trees. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You booked our basic full hook-up pull thru site, therefore, there are not any extra amenities at the site. If you wanted more, we had have been happy to upgrade to you one of our Patio or PawPen Patio sites.

Ms. Christina & Ms. Melanie were both at the office check-in counter when I walked in. I was greeted and welcomed by both ladies. As a customer it is very important to be welcomed and acknowledged as an important customer. Ms. Christina got my reservation taken care of then told me about the laundry and that she had quarters if I needed any. And how easy it will be for me to pull out from #21.

Staff was very friendly and helpful with getting us registered, escorting us to our campsite, and ensuring that we were set up with hookups. Grounds were clean and well-maintained. It was Quiet - - which was very appreciated after a long day of travel!

Gracious, welcoming hosts; escorted us to our site. We had actually overpaid for our reservation, and they issued a refund. The site was level and clean. My main criterion for ratings is condition of bathrooms and showers. These were immaculate, like other KOA campgrounds in which we have stayed. KOA more expensive than many, but well worth it in my opinion.

Great location.Close to interstate, but far enough away to sleep without traffic noise.Pet area, playground,24/7 laundry+store (prices ok).The young men have been busy,kept the course well maintained. Check-in easy, competent and friendly.The toilets/showers are super clean.Thanks, it makes you feel good.The square is subtly illuminated at night,so that you can find your way, but still sleep well.

I was having trouble with cable TV connection, I reported it to your employee Tristian. Very nice young man went out of his way to make it right which had nothing to do with KOA, But he fixed MY problem and made it right. Very nice young man you should be proud of having him working for you.

Overnight on our way home from Utah. Quiet campground close to I-80, gas and groceries. Ate at Driftwood in Ogallala. No TV reception. Cable did not work. Verizon service was good. Did not use Wi-Fi. Many improvements to sites in front of campground. We were in an older 30 amp site in the back. Lawn areas needed trimming/weeding. Trees were nice. Would stay again if traveling through area.

Thanks for staying. We are in a small town that does not have any local stations and we can not get many over-the-air stations. We do, however, have exceptional WiFi available that you can stream on. Everything was being mowed and trimmed the morning you left. We've had a lot of rain.

Nice place, but the electric plug ins need work. Trying to plug in our 50AMP was quite a challenge. The way the box is set up it would barely plug in

This is our second time staying at this campground. It is convenient to the interstate, yet relatively quiet. We appreciated the fully in-bloom lilac bush on our roomy, level space, and the trees and spaciousness of this property. The owners are around and making a lot of improvements. We would definitely visit this KOA again.

This campground is very well run and maintained. The bathrooms were meticulously cleaned (even corners), and had nice products for clients to use at the sinks. The laundry had comfortable seating for clients using the machines. The climate in Ogallala is arid, so there isn't much greenery, just gravel. The campground is far enough off the interstate that the road noise is minimal.

Our site was very spacious, long, level with a picnic table. Only over night, but this could have easily been a base camp for seeing/doing things around Ogallala.

Catching up on helpful Google reviews from previous stays. I usually place reviews on Campendium for RV parks. ---------------- $52/night Stayed 2 nights Site #28 Stayed mid-April 2023. Site type: Pull Thru, 50 Amps, Full Hookups Patio Site GENERAL Overall: Would absolutely stay here again. Very helpful staff! Sites: We had an amazing end grass patio area with lots of space. Many pull-through sites were gravel. Grounds: Clean with improvements in process. Amenities: Showers/restrooms were REALLY nice! Gas/Food: Close to gas and some restaurants. One of the restaurants delivered to the site. Location: Not much in the area (to our knowledge) to explore if you are wanting to go site-seeing. Connectivity: Great campground wifi and connectivity with Verizon and AT&T. CONNECTIVITY Campground WiFi: -Great campground wifi! Cell/hotspot using booster: -AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G) -Verizon (3 of 4 bars—4G)

There was so much space in the site! Everything was clean, I was astounded by the bathrooms. Great amenities for dogs as well, would definitely recommend
