Looking Forward to a New Season.

We are excited to be planning our next season of camping fun at Mt. Lassen/Shingletown KOA. With a fresh blanket of snow covering the campground, it's hard to image enjoying ice cream, snow cones and fun at the pool, but the warm weather will be here soon. We are planning some fun themed weekends, movie nights, new activities and fun merchandize in the store. Father's Day is becoming a favorite weekend centered around building and launching rockets. The always popular Fall Festival in October will bring our season to a close. Look for more recurring activities like breakfast, movies and ice cream on weekends during the summer months. Our foam machine and snow cone maker will be making appearances as well. Lassen Volcanic National Park is a wonderful place to visit. Folks can simply drive through the park and listen to a narration about points of interest along the way, or go all out and hike to the peak of the volcano. The road through the park is often closed through May due to snow, so check out the winter information guide: https://www.nps.gov/lavo/learn/news/upload/Winter-Guide-2022-2023-web.pdf  The mountain community of Shingletown celebrates Founders day in August with a parade and craft festival. They also host a farmers market and craft fair every Tuesday.
