Adventure Awaits

Summer has landed! Northern California offers some of the best outdoor adventures in the country. Mt. Lassen/Shingletown KOA is located close to many of these activities.

We are receiving positive feedback from campers enjoying Lassen Volcanic National Park. The favorite sites to visit are Bumpass Hell and Cinder Cone. The national park is vast and offers amazing hiking opportunities. We recommend visiting NPS.gov, the national parks website, to prepare for your trip into the park.

If you are looking for a quiet day on the lake, consider Grace Lake, Nora Lake, and McCumber Reservoir near the campground. For boating and motorized watercraft, visit Wiskeytown Lake, Shasta Lake, Lake Almanor and Lake Britton. They are a longer drive from the campground but certainly offer an exciting day on the water.

Other great places to visit while staying with us are Burney Falls, Hat Creek for fishing, Turtle Bay Exploration Park and the Sundial Bridge. Here are some helpful websites to visit while planning activities during your stay.

If kicking back and relaxing is your idea of fun, then enjoy our pancake breakfast and ice cream social at the campground on summer weekends. We have a variety of games on our large lawn area and cooling off in our swimming pool is always a good choice.

We hope to see you soon!
