Over all a good stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. I spent 9 days in the tent area. Two areas for improvement are: 1. A privacy fence between the tent spots and the junky empty lot adjacent to the tent spots. 2. It rained a great deal during my stay and mud became a big issue, the gravel coverage in the tent spots is insufficient for wet weather.

This KOA is in the middle of a ghetto. The playground beside the tent area ensures campers listen to screaming children for 12 hours a day. As soon as they go to bed, the drag racing on the streets starts and continues all night. Some of the racers were staying at the KOA. I will give credit to the polite lady running the office who refunded the rest of my stay. I moved to Ouray KOA.

The site was very small, it barely fit our 6 person popup tent, it was too close to the road, we heard cars, loud music, fireworks all night. The sprinklers scared me when they came on at 115am and I couldn't fall back asleep. I think it would be helpful to put the time on the sheet because nightly to me is not at 115am. Also, I think changing the cleaning time of the restrooms would be helpful.

Nice tent sights with cover and grill! Showers were clean and hot! Only negative was there was no dump for gray water if you can camped in a tent site.

the bathrooms and ammenities were clean but the tent site was near a ghetto parking lot with no protection from a fence to keep people out. we were worried our stuff would get stolen. tents should be in a more protected area. tents were also by the park so we could hear the kids playing clear as day. They also advertised for a pool and hottub but they were closed for the season

Only complaint is the sprinklers turn on at 5am in the Tent area??!!

The staff was very nice location is terrible very sketchy area Tent spots have view of a parking lot with old buildings and the homeless Which ended up in the woman's bathroom one morning. Tent spots are so small especially the one between the cabins Slept awful because I was nervous of the homeless & the location. Had my family not been there I'd have left and not stayed Will not ever return

Tent sites seem to be an afterthought, pretty much a big parking lot area with a table and a section of fence, the toilet paper was terrible, it reminded me of the bathroom hand drying paper towels, the pool was closed, not because of a repair, someone took their eye of the ball and let the water get out of test specs, the bathrooms were great, newly remodeled and clean

Our tent site, the one between the cabins, is NOT suitable for tents. The rocks are too big & sharp causing a hole in my tent floor. The other sites had what seemed like a sandy tent pad area but ours did not. The ones w/ sandy tent pads had almost no shade. Horrible experience.

Your tent section is terrible. There is no wall so you stare at trashy empty lots and garbage cans in one direction and the beautiful tree lined trailer sites in the other. You feel very vulnerable when sleeping inside a piece of fabric while having no visual barrier from town. A woman alone should not stay here in a tent. I will be emailing corporate and letting everyone I know not to stay.

We didn’t stay. After arriving we found our tent site was actually at the back edge of the campground on a dirt lot next to a junk heap from empty lot next door. We didn’t feel safe at all.

Very short stay. Arrived late but had called and was told the process. The one problem I had was trying to use bathroom in morning, I did not have a code for door and it was not listed on night check in infor. Seemed like some great things to do but it was a quick sleep stay for me on my way to friends. I felt safe.

Great facilities and courteous staff. Location is easy access to national park. Only issue is Saturday night someone was setting off fireworks nearby, very loud and disruptive. However, it was quiet by 11pm so not too bad.

Stayed 3 nights in a tent site. Amenities were great! Pool, hot tub, wi-fi, water and electricity. Bathrooms kept spotless! Staff very friendly! Nice park, our only complaint was noise, since park is in town. Would not be so noticable if staying in a cabin or RV. But would stay here again!

There was a bee hive right under the table awning. Plus two teenagers that kept hanging around where my site was. They made me uncomfortable

The lady at the desk was amazing and kind,and enjoyed talking with her and her son. They made the stay pleasant however the overly judgemental couple who decided to call the cops and remove me due to my storage totes being outside and food on table (too much stuff) ,when at the end of the day what I own is all I have. The cancer and my stuff they kicked me out and I wouldn't go back .

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You had a full-size RV in a tent site and the amount of “stuff” you had laying around your site was enough to fill a full-size truck bed, it also smelled very bad and was attracting flies. Our check out time is 11:00 am. I spoke to you at 11:15 and allowed you to have a late check out of 1:00 pm

One of the best KOAs we've stayed in on our western US road trip. The women's bathroom needs an exhaust fan, it was entirely foggy from showers when I went in the morning.

I arrived at 7:30 p.m. in the dark and the rain. I had a hard time finding the office, as it was not well marked or lit. I also had a hard time finding the folder left for late arrivals, as the bin was not lit. Showers cramped and dangerous--no mat, no benches, few hooks. Bad sewage smell around the building next morning.Will not stay here again. Not up to par for a KOA.

The bathrooms were very nice and clean, the pool was a bonus to have for sure, the staff were extremely professional and kind, and the campground’s proximity to town and plenty of outdoor activities was perfect.

Men's bathroom had a shower that had no cold water and the urinal didn't flush. We let the staff know but it was the weekend. Women's room was very clean per my wife. The laundry facilities had 2 of the 3 washing machines broken which makes it difficult to get in and out. Location was good for Black Canyon of the Gunnison and the San Juan Scenic Skyway.

Accommodations were outside of KOA park with no trees. People in tents should be advised when booking if the only places for tents are without shade as we do not have air conditioning.

Nice little campground in Montrose. I had a cabin for the night. Everything was clean and the people were friendly. Would definitely start again!

Quiet location and clean but the grounds are covered with weeds with burrs. In fact, the pet area is full of foxtail which is dangerous for dogs. Would not camp here again with pets.
