A nice campground, friendly staff. We specifically chose this campground because of the pool, but when we arrived the pool was out of service. This was not mentioned in the KOA app when booking. Also, the tent site we were in was flooded by a broken pipe. We were not offered a new site. Our site was full of mud. Grave/mud l was tracked into the tent and we ended up with a hole in our mattress.

The property needs lots of maintenance. I was coming from steamboat KOA and spent one night in one of the cabins. The outside patio of the cabin was dirty and the A/C was throwing water inside and not working. They switched us to a other cabin and was infested with bugs. I’m really disappointed with this KOA.

There was a problem with elm beetles and I wasn't told about it until check-in. I would rather have heard about it ahead of time and investigated the issue. I was disappointed to not open windows in the cabin or have the door open. There were dead bugs on the window sills in the cabin - seems like an easy thing to clean off.

The cabin I had needed repairs. Nothing major but it looked like upkeep had been neglected.

Horrible experience at this location. At first we saw the restrooms and thought that it was nice but staying at the cabin was something else. It was infested with bugs everywhere. My son and I tried killing as many as we could before going to bed but they were still coming in from all the crevices. Felt disgusted. Never again.

I stayed in a Kamping Kabin for one night - it was pretty clean and had AC (which was much needed!). The campground facilities (bathroom, office, grounds) were clean and well taken care of and check-in/out was easy. The area around the perimeter of the campground could use some work, including the tent campsites (they were behind the Kabins and open to the street).

The full-size mattress and boards underneath were very concave making it quite uncomfortable. There were many tiny beetles in our cabin. Some beetles got in our beds and disrupted our sleep, and we had the shake out all of our linens the next day. I would not recommend this site to anyone that plans to stay in a cabin.

We stayed in the hideout cabin and it was not at all what we expected after staying in many other KOA cabins. Very outdated, dirty carpets, beetles inside, even in my daughter’s bed. Might stay here again in our trailer, but never again in the cabins. The hosts were very nice.

Cabin was nice and clean, as well as, bathrooms. Was nice having our pet with us as well. However, There were batteries missing from our smoke detector, seems like a hazard. A fire pit would have been nice at each site. The wifi password did not work for us, very disappointed. The mattress was also more uncomfortable than most KOAs we have stayed at.

My stay at this koa was very comfortable. Check in and out was very quick and easy. The cabin I stayed in was clean and neat. The showers and bathroom was always clean. It’s nice and convenient that the campground is close to town for shopping and dining. Black Canyon National Park is just a short drive down the Highway and well worth the drive. All and all I had a great time. Many thanks to all

We were traveling on motorcycles an stayed in a Camping Cabin. It was awesome. We had a half bath in the Cabin. The place was wuiet, showers were great.

We stayed in a cabin. The layout was perfect. Surface clean looked great until I dropped piece of ice, wiped up, floor was dirty. Most disappointing was outside. The chairs znd table were nasty, unusable and did not look like they had been cleaned in a long time.

Good location. At 10 pm we found that the sofa bed had no linens. We struggled to contact staff who finally brought linens. Cabin was dirty and in desperate need of a decent clean or refit! Electrical sockets hung out of wall- extremely dangerous. Floors, carpet, bathroom fixtures, window sills etc were disgusting, sheets dirty, and furniture covered in hair and marks. We would not recommend!!!

The cabin was perfect for our stay. It was clean and had all the basics for a comfortable stay. The campground was kept in good condition. The KOA was close to all the anemities in town and to the Black Canyon National Park. Would definitely make another trip to this area and stay at this campground.

Very, clean, and big. Staff worked had. Very quiet. Close to downtown, we recommend the Double barrel tacos. And the Lighthouse. Camp Robber wonderful as always. Short drive to National Park!

I have always loved staying at KOAs. My experience at Montrose KOA was no different. Cozy and clean cabin with heater. Super clean bathrooms. Really good value for money.

We stayed at the KOA I. Salida CO. Then had reservations at the Montrose KOA. Monarch Pass was closed due to snow and a rock slide. Called Montrose KOA to explain what happened. Thought we might on our way back stay with them… I asked if a credit might be possible fir a week later stay. It’s been since Nov 4, 2022 and we have yet/ will not get a return call. we booked another KOA Holbrook

I'm paying good money for a cabin experience. But the cabin is next to the office, laundromat, ice machine. No esthetics with this cabin. The microwave doesn't work, I'm told as I check in. No coffee filters to be found. It is the end of October, and there is no blanket on the bed, and only a thin one on a shelf. I luckily had another one in my car. One star because it was heated, w kitchen.

Good place to stay and explore the west slope area! The bunkhouse cabin was nice with exception to the queen bed mattress was uncomfortable and the floor was alittle dirty! Otherwise it was nice!

We wanted a place that was close to the national park, this place was it. It's in town but also near the Black Canyon so for us it was perfect. We had a cabin and it was clean and well maintained. I gotta say the bathrooms were probably the cleanest campground bathrooms I've encountered, and that us super important to us, so thank you! It was off-season when we went so it was nice and quiet.

The upgraded cabin with half bath was a joke! Would have been better to spend the almost $100 on a motel room with a shower. The mattress was crap, the furnishings were sad, the TV was miniature, the cabin was next to a empty lot of debris, really pathetic! The only positive was that the room was large altho shabby. We expect better from KOA cabins & were very disappointed with this stay.

We really enjoyed our time visiting the Black Canyon NP and were very pleased with the accommodations at the KOA there. There was plenty of room in our cabin, the heater worked well, the TV was a nice add and it had a good half bath! Two areas for improvement. The laundry room was closed during our stay. Also, the mattress was terrible and in need of replacement. Overall very satisfied!

Very comfortable, friendly staff- we stayed in the Bungalow- microwave didn’t work upon arrival, laundry was not available and pull out bed mattress- you sink to the middle - cabin was very roomy and in spite of these things we did enjoy our stay

I stayed in A Primitive cabin as I have at other KOA Campgrounds. They had a mini refrigerator and or microwave for the same price to stay that night. Positive for this KOA is it was pet friendly. Nice location for visiting Black Canyon National Park . The office was also not open at posted times and they have a very late check in time of 4:00 p.m.

Stayed in a cabin. The bed was too hard for my liking. Next time I will bring my air mattress to put on top. Otherwise it was a great experience! I'd not hesitate to stay here again.

Nice little campground in Montrose. I had a cabin for the night. Everything was clean and the people were friendly. Would definitely start again!

Quiet location and clean but the grounds are covered with weeds with burrs. In fact, the pet area is full of foxtail which is dangerous for dogs. Would not camp here again with pets.
