The campground is well laid out, plenty of shade and the sites are nicely sized. Very clean and it's clear that the staff take care of the site. It very close to old downtown yet very quiet. We stayed in the cabin with the loft and it was great. Stop by Scoops & Slices within a walking distance!

While we were reluctant at first about the location, this turned out to be a fantastic stay! The pool and hot tub were clean and super fun. My boys had fun playing basketball. Our cabin was perfect for our needs, clean bathrooms, and staff was great! If you are visiting Montrose and/or the Black Canyon, I highly recommend this KOA! Thank you for a great weekend!

The lights didn't work right, all the wood surfaces were "sticky", there was no TV despite there being a cable TV guide, there was no place to park to check in our out, there was no refrigerator as there has been at all other KOA cabins we've stayed in, and it was very difficult to find the campground despite the map provided. We ended up having to buy a lantern for light, spending another $35.

The mattresses in the camping cabins are horrible. The rest of the facilities are really nice but those mattresses need an upgrade!!

The number 1 cabin we were initially assigned was so badly tilted that it was like walking uphill. There was no chair, nor TV even though the park amenities listed television. Worst part was the strong odor of urine. Clearly don't mop the floors often enough! Asked to be upgraded, offering to pay any additional costs. Manager refused. Customer satisfaction less important than arbitrary rules!

You reserved a rustic primitive cabin which does not have TV and is not advertised to have TV. You were traveling with dogs which are not allowed in deluxe cabins which is why your request to upgrade was denied.

We were very disappointed that the hot tub was not open. The weather was in the 80’s and when I made reservations I ask if there was a hot tub, because after hiking all day we enjoy soaking. We stayed in th Lodge cabin it was adequate could have been cleaner and every night nats somehow filled the bathroom sink and wall.

There were a few things that I did report to the lady at the front desk before we left. The kitchen faucet was hard to turn off unless faucet was in a certain location. The Pool and hot tub were the cleanest we have ever seen. The park was quiet and the beds comfy. The staff excellent and friendly. You keep a clean RV park. Thank you

Our 2nd time to stay here and just 1 night this time. We stayed in the bunkhouse cabin and it was a nice cabin. Bed was a little firm for me but was fine. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice pool and hot tub but we didn't use this time. We will definitely stay again when passing through.

I stayed in a cabin for two nights. Lovely cabin! I do wish the cabin had been stocked with toilet paper and hand towels, but everything else was really smooth.

We stayed in the Bunkhouse and loved it! It was entertaining, fun, and clean! I think it would be helpful to include in e-mails where the late check-in information is located as each KOA has a different place and it's not always easy to see when you are arriving late.

Cabin was clean and campground was quiet but very pricey for broken furniture, TV didn't work very well, not even salt and pepper. Most every place I've ever stayed in provided coffee, tea, spices etc for much less price. Doubtful i would stay at a KOA again if they are all this pricey. Thank you.

We arrived at 2:30 and were informed check in was at 4 and to return then. We came back at 4:01 and the office was closed for the day. Papers were left for late arrival outside. Cabin was ok nothing special

Our cabins have a 4:00 check in time to allow plenty of time for our housekeepers to clean. Check in time information was provided in your email confirmation. Sunday is the only day we close at 4:00 the rest of week we are open until 8:00 pm. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused

We stayed in Camping Cabin C4 for three days during late June 2025. It was very nice, well kept and comfortable. The showers were clean and well kept, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The cabin's air conditioner seemed to put out enough cold air but it wasn't installed properly - about half of the air flow was cut off because the unit was not pushed far enough into the wall.

We stayed in the bunkhouse for the second time. It was so perfect for our family. Clean, quiet, friendly. This is a favorite overnight stay for us when we visit Telluride, Black Canyon, Ouray, and other places in Southwest Colorado.

We stayed in a camping cabin. It had a terrible air freshener smell and the mattresses on the bunk beds were so thin that you could feel the supporting boards digging into your hips. On the plus side, there was A/C and the location was convenient. We enjoyed the clean, refreshing pool and hot tub.

Great location for visiting Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Very clean and well kept. The only downside was the cabin mattress was extremely hard. So we ended up using our air mattress on top of it. Overall good stay!

Stay was nice, ppl there were nice, the place is clean and well taken care of. My problem is they need to state the pet policy clearer, there wasnt anything said until I showed up then it's 25$ more after I paid. And if I cancelled I lost 99$ so I feel I was a tad over a barrel.

Nice little campground in Montrose. I had a cabin for the night. Everything was clean and the people were friendly. Would definitely start again!

Quiet location and clean but the grounds are covered with weeds with burrs. In fact, the pet area is full of foxtail which is dangerous for dogs. Would not camp here again with pets.
