There were a few things that I did report to the lady at the front desk before we left. The kitchen faucet was hard to turn off unless faucet was in a certain location. The Pool and hot tub were the cleanest we have ever seen. The park was quiet and the beds comfy. The staff excellent and friendly. You keep a clean RV park. Thank you

The staff in the office were more than accommodating. The shower and bathrooms were very clean. We have been staying at the Black Canyon for numerous years now and the condition of the park itself is now in need of some TLC. I hate to see this as the group we come with is considering alternate parks to stay at in Montrose in the future. The location is perfect to our needs.

Unfortunately we were only there for an overnight but the park was very well maintained and the pool on such a hot evening looked very inviting. Sites were level and spacious. Would definitely stay here again.

Tent sites seem to be an afterthought, pretty much a big parking lot area with a table and a section of fence, the toilet paper was terrible, it reminded me of the bathroom hand drying paper towels, the pool was closed, not because of a repair, someone took their eye of the ball and let the water get out of test specs, the bathrooms were great, newly remodeled and clean

My biggest complaint was that house keeping is always using 2 of the 3 washer / dryers. This should be for the guests only. Building a fence in front of the tent campers where you can’t see the abandoned house / boat that caught on fire when we were there would go along way. Great staff and hard working people! Jenny took great care of the pool and hot tub. Location felt kinda of sketchy

The office staff was very friendly and helpful. The pull through sites provide plenty of room. The WiFi was fantastic. The grounds were clean and well maintained. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

For the price the park doesn’t offer much, in a poor part of town, internet was spotty, power went out a few times a day

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The park has not experienced any power outages. It would have been nice to know you were have problems so we could have addressed it at that time.

Karen is the best she was able to get us a space with short notice. Camp is very clean as is the restrooms and showers. We have stayed there 4 years now and we will be back.

We had a very nice stay at Montrose/BlackCanyon KOA. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, the site was clean and guest ready. Power pole, water and sewer were in good working order. The swimming pool and hot tub were clean and well maintained. The restroom’s and showers were clean. Black Canyon was closed for fire, so we hiked Mesa and Crystal Creek Trails in Curecanti National Recreation area.

Needs lots of maintenance. All grass is dead even though it was being watered . I stayed here for the convenience of booking through KOA. There is a nicer park near this one that we would probably stay next time.

Very clean and curtious my only dislike was the roadways and sights very loose stone made it hard to get around on the motorcycle something to bind that up a little would be nice.

We spent 4 days at this camp and enjoyed every minute. The staff takes great pride in the cleanliness and beauty of this camp. They were helpful and so friendly. Our site was clean and well-shaded from any heat. The camp was quiet and peaceful, allowing us to enjoy our vacation. We will definitely be returning in the future.

If I were staying overnight this park would be ok..but we were staying for 2 weeks. The grounds are dirt, weeds and old grass covered with leaves from the trees. In the time we were there we never saw a site raked…only saw the groundsmen look under the picnic table and then leave. It certainly wasn’t a park worthy of the cost.

Staff was great! Lots to do for the kiddos! The playground was nice and pool was so warm! Location was great too! 5 minute run to everything it seemed like.

Even though the National Park was closed because of fire we enjoyed our stay because the camp is so nice and well run.

Our 2nd time to stay here and just 1 night this time. We stayed in the bunkhouse cabin and it was a nice cabin. Bed was a little firm for me but was fine. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice pool and hot tub but we didn't use this time. We will definitely stay again when passing through.

I stayed in a cabin for two nights. Lovely cabin! I do wish the cabin had been stocked with toilet paper and hand towels, but everything else was really smooth.

We stayed in the Bunkhouse and loved it! It was entertaining, fun, and clean! I think it would be helpful to include in e-mails where the late check-in information is located as each KOA has a different place and it's not always easy to see when you are arriving late.

Cabin was clean and campground was quiet but very pricey for broken furniture, TV didn't work very well, not even salt and pepper. Most every place I've ever stayed in provided coffee, tea, spices etc for much less price. Doubtful i would stay at a KOA again if they are all this pricey. Thank you.

Everything was great. Clean, shaded sites, full hookups, clean laundry and restrooms. But, it is in town and over $80/night.

Nice little campground in Montrose. I had a cabin for the night. Everything was clean and the people were friendly. Would definitely start again!

Quiet location and clean but the grounds are covered with weeds with burrs. In fact, the pet area is full of foxtail which is dangerous for dogs. Would not camp here again with pets.
