So much better than any of the hotel rooms we stayed at. Including those over 200 a night. The whole idea of being on vacation is fresh air . This cabin had a nice Double chair on the front porch

We spent 2 nights in bunk house instead of camping and the accommodations were great. The unit was clean, well laid out and furnished well. Would highly recommend your camp ground.

A beautiful KOA. Exceptionally clean, friendly staff. We enjoyed the pavilion and pool. Great access to the park and town. Would definitely stay again if in the neighborhood.

Everything was great. I would recommend that you don’t select an end site, even though it may look like you have more green space for pets. It’s actually extremely small. The people were fantastic that we interacted with.

Air conditioning in cabin did not work well at all. It was extremely hot and mattress was pretty uncomfortable. Not the most happy for what I paid given the price.

First the positives. The pool was a nice size and the hot tub was nice. The laundry facility was nice and a fair price. The RV sites looked nice. Now the not so positive. The men’s shower was nice looking, but there was barely enough pressure to make it out of the shower head. The tent sites seemed like an afterthought at best. Extremely small, not level and basically down an alley.

Smoking on grounds should be prohibited and enforced. With RV windows open on a beautiful night why should I have to be imposed upon by the awful smell throughout the night.

We had a great stay. The restrooms and showers were good. The front office staff was very accommodating. We had a van and our daughter was in a cabin. She switched our site so we were right across from each other.

Everything was great the only thing I would recommend is have later hours for the hot and pool.

Loved this campground. The spaces were very nice. The grassy area with table was perfect for sitting out at. The campground was nice to walk around. Thank you for a nice stay.

Very nice accommodations-pool was fantastic. Cooking area very nice when it was raining. Well-maintained and comfortable.

We stay at the Montrose/Black Canyon KOA once a year when we come to the area for a golfing trip and have been staying there for a number of years. The KOA shows an improvement over what it has been in the last several years. We will definitely be coming back.

The campground was maintained very well and the staff were so nice and accomodating. The pool was awesome! Our grandkids enjoyed our stay!

I dropped in without a reservation while traveling cross country on my motorcycle. The staff was very helpful. The cabin was exactly what I hoped for. Clean and comfortable, and it kept me dry during a thunderstorm.

Great stay in a nice little cottage called the Bunkhouse. The campground is nice and good location to the national park. Staff were great and definitely would stay again.

Great KOA Journey with wooded campsites, great pool and friendly staff. FYI - We ordered an item from Amazon to be delivered a day before our arrival. It showed that it was delivered, but when we checked in - no joy. The KOA staff said that they have had numerous problems with deliveries from Amazon. We got our Amazon refund... We will be back when we pass thru Montrose.

The facilities were nice and clean. I understand KOA is mostly for trailers and RVs. However the tent spots backed right up to an open field with apartments. Lack of security was unsettling being on the outside of the camp ground. Maybe have privacy walls in front of the camp spot. Staff was awsome and for a small KOA was the cleanest facilities I’ve seen at a KOA

I showed up for a tent site, and found it to be on the edge of the campground completely exposed to a large dilapidated parking lot. I was planning to sleep in my truck bed which could not be locked from the inside. I did not feel safe at all. I was able to contact Clare, who accommodated me in a cabin for no additional fee. Clare was wonderful! However this campground felt nothing like one.

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about our neighbor's property. We do, however, aim to make all of our guests feel safe and comfortable, as we did with you. It is disappointing to see a one star review after doing our very best to accommodate you. We are sorry you didn't enjoy your time.

Loved our stay! Gravel pad, FHU in good working order. Shower/bath house a short walk, clean and stocked. Green grass at the sites was very nice. Only ten miles from Black Canyon NP Visitor Center. Friendly KOA staff. The Ouray Gold Mtn Fire clouded the Montrose area in smoke but…nothing KOA can do about that. Pool looked inviting but we didn’t have time this stop.

The facilities were well kept and clean and prices in the store were reasonable. My biggest issue was that the sprinklers went off in our tent site at 1 AM every night. We were not informed that would happen. It really needs to be put on the information sheet. Not only where we startled awake, our camping chairs and supplies were in the grass and got soaked. At the very least, inform people.

The playground needed a little work. The sites were not super level. The bathrooms were closed from 11-1 every day for cleaning which can be inconvenient if your camper doesn’t have bathroom. BUT the campground was nice, quiet, well kept and the pool looked really nice. They were able to accommodate us/let us in early when we needed to evacuate our previous site due to the wildfire happening,

This is a very well kept park with nice sites and trees throughout. The pool and hot tub are an enjoyable bonus. The staff are friendly and accommodating. They go the extra mile for their tenants. It's a great location off the beaten path yet close to downtown, restaurants, and the fairgrounds. We stayed for 5 months and were very happy at this KOA. It's a good place to call home.
