The good, staff is friendly and helpful and showers were clean The bad, the handicap shower doesn't work like regular shower,goes full hot instantly. The parking area behind the showers has not been cleaned up in a while. There were cigarette butts and teeth plackers all over the place. No garbage cans anywhere close to the tent camping area.

Very friendly staff and quiet campground. We were there for a month and the washers and dryers were not working so had to keep running to a laundromat. Dog park was a terrible mess. Weeds, stickers, and dog poop everywhere that was never picked up. We will be in the area next year but booked at a different, nicer, less expensive campground south of town for 2 months.

Quiet campground except for the occasional barking dog. Clean campground and friendly staff. Laundry facility was down 2 out of 4 washers and all dryers were out of order but laundry facility close by.

Nice big sites. My only complaint is the dog park is in need of attention. Large scrubby weeds and tires have taken over.

Dryers did not work. 2 Toilets were out of order. No benches in the women's showers.. Had to come out almost or practically naked to get dressed. Friendly staff or in the campsites were a nice space.

The place was comfortable and welcoming. I would have given 5 stars but the several toilets were not usable and the mirror in the cabin is set too high on the wall.

Staff was excellent and the pool, grounds, and hot tub were terrific. Just a few minor bathroom issues (vent fan, shower heads) and the dryers need to be fixed in the laundry.

Quick one night stay but campsite was clean and well positioned as a pull thru with hookups. Check in was quick and staff was kind!

The campground and campsites themselves are very lovely. The location and proximity to Black Canyon is great. However we got off to a poor start because no one was in the office during their specified office hours to check us in. We had to wait 40 minutes before someone showed up to let us know what campsite we were assigned. The manager was aloof and not at all apologetic.

I typically prefer dispersed camping to rv parks/campgrounds, but we had such a pleasant stay here over Labor Day weekend. The sites are spacious and there were shade trees througout the park. The folks in the office/store were very friendly. The pool was clean and refreshing and never crowded. And in spite of being nearly full, this is one of the quietest campgrounds we've ever experienced.

All was well. My only concern was the size of the sites. With one slide out on the back and our awning on the front there was zero clearance to either of our neighbors

We ended up leaving after check in. Had we maybe rented a cabin or had an RV, we might have stayed. But this campground treats the tent campers as an afterthought - we weren't even in the compound. Our view was the backyard of a house that looked like a junk yard. The site was so small, we didn't have a fire ring and had to share the grill with the tent site next to us. Not up to par.

All dryers and all but two washers were out of commission which prevented us from doing laundry. Very disappointing for a KOA Journey facility. Other than that, a normal campground.

The cabin our daughter rented had many maintenance issues, including the power kept throwing the breaker.. The laundry room had only two washing machines working and zero dryers working The pool was great, but not heated at all --so very cold -- two cold for children.

This is a very nice peaceful place to relax especially this time of year. The spaces are large and nicely arranged and we hope to return next year.

We visited friends in Montrose. They wanted us to spend another night to see a special car museum at Gateway , CO. KOA was able to rearrange their next scheduled person so we could stay in the same site we had. It is a nice place to stay.

I had a wonderful time. I've been coming back every summer since 2009 with the exception of 2019 when I was having a medical issue. A great place to visit!!

Nice park and well maintained grounds. Our only complaint - they have 8 washers and dryers but only two washers and one dryer was working. All the rest had "Out of Order" signs on them. There is a laundromat just down the street - maybe they are counting on that????

With some TLC this could become an outstanding park, but unfortunately the owners don’t seem to be interested in maintaining it - despite it being pretty much full every night we were there. Sites close to the office are well tended, but the further away you get the more it deteriorates - weeds, dumped garbage etc. Shame - the office staff are very friendly and all hook-ups/WiFi work great!

We were unhappy that even though the pool was advertised as open from 10 - 9, when we asked at 2 pm if they were going to unlock the pool area, first the response was "isn't it open?" When I replied there was a padlock, the employee said "I guess it must be closed for Sunday". I don't feel I got what I paid for, since we specifically picked this KOA because it had a pool. And it was August.

We booked a tent site. The tent sites were outside of the facility and our view was a gravel parking lot. No shade on a day in the 90's. The bathrooms were being cleaned at later times than advertised. Most of the washers and dryers were out of order. Garbage from a previous days cookout was still in the trash barrels attracting many flies.

Hello this is Jeff, I have a hobby of that is visiting campgrounds and putting them in my online database at www.campbase.com. I have extensive campground knowledge. This is a great little campground but there are issues. The washers and dryers were mostly broken and need to be fixed. Of six dryers only one worked. The bathrooms were clean but the shower design was poor. No place to put towel.

Nice, clean park with convenient access to Black Canyon National Park and Ouray. Only downside we noticed was most of the washing machines were out of order.
