We arrived very late, but the instructions and directions to our campsite were clear. The campsite was easy to find and all hookups were easy to use.

Wow. what a change. We love it there now. Three years ago was terrible. Now great job on improvements. Very very nice. Great coffee.

This is a great campground for stopping over on your trip. We stayed 6 nights. Everyone was very helpful and nice. The campground is being refurbished and will be great when a the projects are done

The great hospitality and service made up for the less-than-fancy amenities. We felt relaxed and safe. And it's far enough away from the highway that road noise was not an issue.

We needed a place to wait out the snow storm back home in Arkansas and the convenience of the KOA in Montgomery met our needs. We originally booked for 2 nights, but the weather back home improved, so we cancelled the 2nd night, which management gladly refunded. They were very nice to us.

We frequently stay here on our way to visit our grandchildren. It’s very convenient to the interstate and pull through sites are easily accessible. Good dog park and walking areas make it pet friendly. They are working to make improvements to the buildings and roads.

Thank you for the nice review. Our 1/2 mile path around the park is lined by solar lights and trees. We have even included a deer feeder to help our guest see even more than they bargain for. We also have a nice place to fish out on Jennie's Pond. Secluded, shaded and serene. Gary & Fredrika

The roads between rows are barely wide enough to maneuver, especially when trucks have to park in front of campers. There are no lights at campsites for after dark arrival.

We appreciate all comments and reviews even if it seems we didn't live up to our guests standards. We are always looking for ways to grow and we will take all feedback into consideration. Many of our guests appreciate the dark surroundings so we have been careful to use clear reflective site markers

Host was very accommodating when we needed to stay an extra day. The coffee//tea/relaxation center was great. Nice path around the camp and lots of room for dogs to play. Unfortunately, we didn’t get much use of the dog park due to others not picking up after their pets. That’s really my only complaint. Unfortunately it is something out of the host’s control but must be addressed by the host

Thank you for the positive comments. Our KOA is less than 2 years old so we are still in the growth phase. Trees and shrubs are planned for the near future, right now we are concentrating on infrastructure & amenities. Please enjoy the natural foliage and trees that surround our parks walking paths.

Thank you for the great and positive review. We are close to everything but you wouldn't know it when you walk around the park. Clean and quiet and buried behind acres of trees the only thing you'll need to be on the lookout for is our families of deer, owls, Oppossums and racoons. Gary & Fredrika

Convenient campground off I-85. This campground needs some work but it looks like the owners are doing a good job with improving it. The new community room is really nice. The campground is pretty quiet even though highway is close by. I would definitely stay again. Site was level. Plenty of room. Very friendly and helpful owners. Wish them luck.

They were friendly and helpful. There was a community center with books tv and coffee and hot chocolate. The restrooms were clean and well kept. Our site was level.

Reimagined by Fredrika, our community is open 24/7 with plenty of books to read, coffee, tea and hot cocoa to drink. You can sit and relax after the long drive or catch a game on the TV. Don't forget there are plenty of Red Bird mints on hand to keep you kool. Gary & Fredrika

The campground host was very gracious. He helped us find our spot (we arrived after dark), then allowed us to stay an additional night as our plans changed last minute. Very clean park. Easy jump onto the hwy if you're traveling. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The highway traffic is a bit loud. Maybe request a spot deeper into the campground.

Lots of cigarette butts in my fire bit along with a bag of trash. Bathrooms need a little updating or sheetrock.Work to make them look a little more presentable. A lot of people that stay there monthly with trashy sites. Huge mounds of discarded furniture and trash in the field. Looks like it's been there a longtime.would stay there again if passing through and needed to stay. Sorry to say this.

Always felt safe and secure. Any questions I had were always addressed promptly. The manager ( Mr Gary) is a very hard worker and strives to do everything possible for his guests!

Bathrooms need serious repair. No hot water in shower. Doors have gaps in bottom and sides. It was cold while we were staying there. Small wall heater did not warm the room.

Even with it in the 30s the beach is beautiful, a good time for us to rest. The bathrooms impeccably clean. We ran into friendly neighbors. This is our second time here and plan to return in the summer.

See a lot of work being done but still needs a lot more work. Difficult to locate with today’s GPS systems. Pull thru sites if towing has power far back of the site causing excessive length of RV power cord.

This KOA was very clean and the gravel site we were assigned was as level as could be expected. Office staff were polite and helpful. We greatly appreciated the advance notice to disregard the GPS directions to the campground by way of exit 16 off I-85 and to use exit 11 instead.

We had a reservation, but the new camper we have has a VERY low rear end and the entrance was questionable and I couldn't risk it. The manager was very understanding and issued a full refund. Proof there are still slot of good people still.

While traveling from CO to FL, I stopped at the KOA Journey in Montgomery AL. It was an after hours check‐in, the camp manger Gary was very pleasant and super helpful with the check in process. He quickly showed to my campsite for the night and answered all of my questions. The KOA Journey has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and more importantly the restrooms are clean and the showers are hot.
