Cabin was nice although we had to kill multiple wasps inside. Did notify maintenance which took care of the nest. Unfortunate that you have to pay extra to do activities like enjoying the beach.

We like the Marion KOA. There were a few things that needed to be addressed. We had a large handful of deck screws scattered on our deck. We made the office aware & they said the manager/owner would be talking to us about compensation, but we didn’t hear from them. Kinda disappointing. There were a few other issues, but they were taken care of quickly.

If you are staying at a cabin, the water park and sandy area should be free for 1 session. Paying $20 per person each day is a lot to spend when I’m already paying a lot for the room.

Super friendly staff, nice enough cabin, but too expensive. For $300+ per night we didn't have coffee filters for the coffee maker, the "sleeping loft" was just that - mattresses on a carpeted floor that wasn't big enough to even stand in. We had a gas fire table, but no propane. We had a charcoal grill, but no charcoal. No fire pit for s'mores at the cabin. Waterpark was great!

Overall, a good experience. If going to fish, there is no cleaning station or cleaning area provided, with water and an electrical outlet. This makes it very difficult to clean your fish. The bathrooms needed to be plugged often. There are no steak knives or sharp knives available. Would much rather have a regular coffee pot than a Keurig, when making a coffee, for a number of coffee drinkers

Everything about this place is great. The cabin I stayed in was perfect for my stay. Micah was very helpful and is pretty awesome guy…above and beyond. I will be back in the fall for late season crappie. Jim H.

It was great that we were able to rearrange our days due to cold weather. However, the TV did not work. When we needed something from the office several phone calls had to be made. I know it is the beginning of the season but it was annoying that we had a hard time reaching anyone until our second day. Wouldn't stay until summer to avoid these problems .

First impression when entering cabin #20 was cute, clean, comfortable. Until we opened bathroom door! Someone FORGOT to flush the toilet. Not just yellow water, but major BM. Flushed it several times, used edge of plunger to Scrape excess off side ( no toilet brush available). Used our sanitary wipes to clean it up before using. Disgusting! Would have been a 5 rating, but that was unacceptable.

This KOA was very nice and quiet cabin September stay. Nice RV sites with shades picnic tables and gravel lots. There are only 4 tent sites, so this KOA is definitely more for cabin and RV sites that have access to Lake of the Egypt. Very nice cabins, general store, and food court. We had a small problem with the cabin that was immediately addressed and fixed by the owner. Great people work here!

It did rain 3 of the 4 days of our vacation, but we still had a nice time. Food in the camp store was great. We rented a pontoon on the day it didn't rain and had a great day. Cabin was tiny, but clean and had everything we needed. Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay!

Stayed in cabin, brother and sister each had RV sites. From MO & IN so IL is middle distance for us to get together. You have a great place.

We had a great time with our 8 and 10 year olds. The cabin was small but we didn’t spend much time in it. The inflatable water park, kayaks, and paddle boards were the highlight. The game deck was also fun - some of the games could use a refresh (air hockey and foosball). The food was good - we had pizza, salad, smash burger and fries - was pricier than expected for a campsite. We’ll return!

Overall I really enjoyed our stay (2nd time here). I rated 4 because I liked the cabin from our first stay at this location better—layout is the same but this cabin’s toilet had a crack and didn’t flush easily. It didn’t have extra hooks for towels to dry. The grill grate was pretty beat up (we covered w/ foil.) But the water park & jump pad were great and our boat rental MADE the weekend

Amazing! Hosts were so hospitable and cabin had everything we needed to make meals for the family. We hiked the Shawnee national forest in the mornings and in the afternoon the kids spent hours on the floating water park. Thank you for the amazing memories!

Our cabin was right on the water and we could literally fish off of the deck. We caught lots of fish! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We had a great time.

The owners, Micah and Jody are the best! So attentive and friendly! The whole resort is amazing, the restaurant, the waterpark, our cabin and the whole Staff! A +++. We’ve been coming for years and will definitely continue.

beach area by cabins was VERY little and not what I expected. cabins a little small but clean. No grass area around your cabin or firepit to sit around.

We booked with this location because of their promotion of family olympics and events going on that weekend--none of which ever happened. On top of that, there was very little for our younger kids to do in the water, as there is a 6 year age minimum on all of the lake fun that is promoted. Cabins were nice, but activities were not as advertised.

Loft areas are too warm. Need larger frying pans when a unit sleeps 6. Couches need updating- our unit had a sectional but ripped. A family member had a loveseat. Scenery is very nice. Boat launch & parking for trailers is a nightmare. A storm picked up had to stay on the lake, heavy rain/lighting would have had to drop someone off at the ramp & run 1/2 mile to pick up the truck & trailer.

For what it costs to stay there, the cabins are horrible. Very outdated. Small. Not enough sleeping arrangements and bathrooms for paying nearly $1,000 for 2 NIGHTS ONLY. Did not have a regular coffee pot. Had a Keurig in the kitchen but no pods. So frustrating to bring regular coffee grounds and not be able to enjoy a cup of coffee. Kitchen had tons of ants. Miserable stay.

Just got back from our week-long stay (our second year at the Marion KOA), and it just keeps getting better. The staff is awesome, the campground upgrades were spot on, and everything was clean, fun, and easy. My kids (18 and 9) had a blast, and we loved the inflatable water park. Great food, great drinks, we highly recommend it!

The kids and I stayed in one of the cabins. Very clean and nice! The Water park was amazing & Big worm at the boat rentals is awesome and we had a blast on the pontoon boat all day. (Get the floating lily pad!) The staff in all departments were amazing, and genuinely good people. Micah and his family who work / own the place are great! he helped us beyond my expectations the entire time! -DeArmans

Vacationed with our grandkids and had a blast! Cabins were nice and clean. Didn’t know the up stairs had such low ceilings��but the kids did not mind. Staff were fantastic and the food available was amazing! Rented skidoos and boat from camp partner and had a little snag but the owner made up for it. Best customer service ever.

Family liked it, not busy!! Kids liked playground, close to hiking in national forest. Very friendly staff. Loved the huge deck.
