Wildlife in our Park

Wildlife in our Park

The various seasons in our park bring various animals into the park. The winter time especially brings us a wonderful group of beautiful wildlife. In the summer months this group of animals is still there they just tend to be a bit more elusive and shy.

Here are some of wildlife to keep an eye out for in our river valley. Mule deer, white tail deer, coyotes, skunks, racoons, great horned owls, bald eagles, pheasants, porcupines, beavers, rattlesnakes, garter snakes and more!

While you are camping in our park, remember that you are a guest in the environment of these beautiful creatures. They are an important aspect to the ecology of the river valley and this is their home. Should you see some of these beauties feel free to take pictures - but do so from a safe distance. Like any homeowner, they can become offended at a stranger being in their space. So keep your distances but also let us know if they are in a public space because we want to make sure they do not interrupt our living either.

Respect the environment and the wildlife in our river valley. Always aspire to leave no trace of your stay to assist the wildlife from becoming too friendly with you.
