Staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds are in good condition. Bathrooms are clean and in good shape. We enjoyed walking to the creek. Travel to local attractions and shops was easy. We had a great stay.

The campground was in a very convenient location for us to explore the area. The campground and people at the office were very friendly and helpful. The washers and dryers were old , didn’t work well but got the job done. All in all we would return to this koa.

The staff was top notch and graciously friendly! I also loved having the stream running alongside the campground. However, my only complaints are the dog park was too small and the highway was too close.

The staff is super nice and thoughtful. The general store has a good mix of necessities and other items. More drink variety would be good, but otherwise, really great experience.

The team running the camp was Amazing! So very very nice and welcoming. The pool was warm and the camp was clean. Bathrooms were well maintained. This was our first stay at a KOA and now we are hooked. Thank you so much for a wonderful weeekned!

Beautiful area tucked back in amongst the trees and rocks alongside a creek however, it is also directly alongside a major highway and you hear the sounds of traffic constantly, well into the night. Our fault for not doing better research! Campground is clean and well-kept, w/gracious hosts. Nice that they deliver items directly to your campsite and have a heated pool to enjoy.

Campground is very nice. Some sites have a nice "backyard", grassy area. However, the road noise off of Hwy 50 can be loud until late into the night. We would stay again, but not on a holiday weekend.

Beautiful surroundings. Loved the stream right there. I think my favorite was the fire pit with large boulders that contained the heat and kept us warm. Clean bathrooms.

If I could rate this higher I would. From checking in to little things during our stay, everyone went out of their way and treated us like we were family. We will definitely be coming back.

Excelent campgrounds. Close to Lake Tahoe and shops. The staff was great very helpful. My RV has 50 amp but they had an adapter to be able to plug into a 30 amp. They also gave us great directions on what’s the best route to go back home. Love them!!!

The location is beautiful and easy access to HWY-50. Although there is room for larger rigs those sites are closer to the road and not as nice as the riverside sites. The current owners/managers are renovating and upgrading the place so it is improving and the staff are super nice.

Nice property, in a high Sierra setting. Clean restrooms, safe, and a very friendly staff. It’s right next to the highway so during the day there is highway noise but it drops off at night to nearly zero. It is a good location to explore South Lake Tahoe and even drive the west shore to Tahoe city.

The campground was perfect for a one night stay on our way from Sacramento, CA to Salt Lake City. The area is beautiful!!! The owners are working hard to remodel the whole place. They are also very friendly.

This is our favorite Tahoe area RV campground, even in winter! The hosts have hospitality that we have never seen before, and we camp a pretty fair amount. We had a very last second request that they easily could have denied and they were able to accommodate us. They even encouraged us and gave us information that they didn’t have to provide to make our stay memorable. Cannot recommend enough!

So enjoyable! We arrived well after checkin, and the camp hosts (Frank and Yery) were stellar with communication for us to get set up successfully. We also had a problem with our RV battery system and they kindly let us borrow some of their tools. Clean bathrooms and good vibes all around. Only suggested improvement would be new washer and dryers :)

For as much as one night was (double what other KOA's charge) we were disappointed that the spaces were not shoveled better. Wii was not good and the walk to the bathrooms were dangerous because of the ice.

Due tot the season the office was closed, but the site was well maintained and clean with all functioning showers and laundry. It was a December stay so everything was covered in snow and the pool was closed. Overall it was a great stay!

When we arrived, we unexpectedly found the campground closed and basically deserted. The site pre-selected was about as bad as any one could have imagined. We felt very unsafe and left immediately. Nothing on your website or the email confirming our reservation indicated the campground was closed for the season.

We hadn't been to the Lake Tahoe KOA since the new ownership took over. The park was very clean and the staff was very friendly. There were very few guests at the time due to the weather changing, but it made for a very quiet and relaxing stay. We look forward to our next stay.

What also stood out was how connected the campground is to the local community. The onsite family was generous with recommendations and genuinely passionate about helping guests make the most of their Lake Tahoe visit. Through conversations with them, we discovered local businesses, activities, and experiences that we may otherwise have missed. It felt less like checking into a campground and more like being welcomed into the area by people who truly love where they live. Families will appreciate the heated pool, playground, seasonal activities, dog run, creek, and beautiful forest setting, while practical amenities like the laundry facilities and camp store make longer stays easy and comfortable. Lake Tahoe KOA is more than just a place to stay—it's a place that helps families slow down, spend time together outdoors, and experience the best of the Tahoe area. As a New Zealander visiting Lake Tahoe, this campground was exactly what I picture when I think of an iconic American family camping holiday. Staying in a Deluxe Cabin gave me the perfect balance of comfort and camping. It was clean, welcoming, and well-equipped—everything I needed for a relaxing family stay. What I'll remember most, though, is the setting. The smell of the pine trees was so fresh and distinctive that I know it will always remind me of this campground. Waking up amongst the towering trees and spending my days outdoors felt like a genuine escape from everyday life. My children absolutely loved their time here, especially exploring the creek, swimming in the pool, and playing on the playground. There was always something for them to do, and the campground struck a wonderful balance between being peaceful and family-friendly. Another thing I appreciated was how accessible and welcoming the managingfamily was. They were often around the campground, genuinely interested in making sure guests were enjoying their stay, and always happy to share recommendations or answer questions. It was clear they care deeply about the property, and I enjoyed hearing about some of the improvements and future plans they have for the campground. This was a wonderful introduction to camping in the Lake Tahoe area, and I'm already looking forward to staying again.

We first stayed here 2 years ago (and I believe it was under new ownership/management then). They were friendly, enthusiastic and intent on improving the place. We returned this week and we're happy to see the same friendly and enthusiastic team and the improvements they had made with more to come. The team was always present and working around the campground. The grounds and buildings were clean and well-kept. We loved our site (111). It accommodated our 37 ft 5th wheel and truck easily. Looking forward to returning.
