4 nights, nice clean spaces, staff were all very nice and helpful, pool was great and never very crowded. Highway noise quiets down, not a big deal. Plenty of space to walk our dogs, it would be nice if the fenced area for pets was larger! Would definitely stay again.

The sites are small, not level, dusty, and way over priced. The campground roads are winding and full of obstacles like large rocks and trees. It’s so difficult to navigate that they make you sign a waiver against damage on check in.

The whole campground was very uneven. The pool is tiny and closes too early for summer. The sign said 6 and it would already be closed at 5-5:30. The camp store closes really early too. It made it hard to enjoy the day on the grounds. I feel the prices of the sites don't reflect the quality of the grounds. Staff was really nice and grounds were clean. The bathrooms were also really nice and clean.

Meyer, CA near South Lake Tahoe is a beautiful area with mountains, pine and fir trees, and of course, Lk Tahoe. It is an easy drive into town. However, the KOA was too shaded for our purposes, mislabeled pull-in lanes (striped solid white as if there are 2 check-in lanes like other KOAs, but one is actually the exit lane), narrow crowded drive area, large boulder creating narrowed exit, and tiny

We didn’t fit in our assigned spot- the associate who escorted us to our spot assessed the situation, made a recommendation, moved us to a site that worked for us and updated the system. The facilities were excellent, the park beautiful, and the location was very convenient to the lake side town and attractions.

Nice location away from South Lake Tahoe. Disappointed in site, mainly sand had to wipe my dogs feet off every time they went outside. The site was not very level and hard to move my 30’ trailer in and out. Trash was always full. Would not stay here again.

Rented 2 paddle boards, only received one ore. Texted #, and the reply was you do know that each bag only comes with one ore, and we'll be there shortly. We were already parked and inflated boards. We did enjoy our stay last week. However, I did have a concern. We were told, and signs confirmed, that there were to be no open fires. During our stay, I saw three such fires going. This was a safety issue as the forest is quite dry,

The location was nice, beautiful setting, but the there was a lot of road noise. It's close to the freeway and the traffic noise (including a lot of semis) kept us awake at night. It might be ok if you can get a site away from the freeway.

A very nice campground. The driveway is a bit tight navigating a larger camper but the staff is very helpful getting you to your spot.

Lots of work to do here but may not make a difference. Bad RV site orientation and layout. Right next to US 50, a busy high speed highway. Most people use their own WiFi and satellite. Good thing because siteWiFi was virtually unusable, no cable. The pool is laughingly puny. Why spend the time and money to build such a small pool?$15 a night “protection fee” per person, $7.50 pet fee per night

Plain dirt unlevel pads that were muddy after rain were not what I expected for the cost. Narrow roads caused one even at midnight to beep beep beep trying for a half hour to maneuver. Loud dodge pickup kept going at the same time. Very close to highway produced noise. Charged us a fire protection fee that was part of their regular tax bill for more profit. Fire dept said they don’t charge.

Everything was great. One of the things that could make it better would be to have a bigger dog run with grass so we wouldn't have to wash our dog's feet every time they needed to go out.

The stay was nice. Our site was 212 which the fire pit is in the wrong space between two rocks which is hard to sit around and it feels like you are part of the campsite next to you

We had a wonderful week camping at the Lake Tahoe KOA. Since reopening there have been noticeable upgrades to much of the amenities. In particular we appreciated the dedicated pet area. Also, the staff was always super friendly and helpful with our questions.

This KOA is in a good location if you want to be close to Echo Lake, but that's about the only upside. It's so expensive to stay here and you get nothing for it. The grounds aren't nice, the spots are really tight and close together and the bathrooms were run-down. We won't stay here again.

For the price one would expect a reasonable level campsite however, this was the most unlevel site we’ve encountered in 5 years of traversing this beautiful country of ours. We used all of our 24 plus blocks for leveling and it was still off!!

Next-door neighbors would leave their dogs all day by themselves and they would bark and howl all day long and not much privacy between sites

Site was dusty loose dirt and uneven. Very hard to level my sprinter van. The sewer connection was above my drains on the van, it needs to be lowered. The electrical connection junction box was so low I had to get on my hands and knees to see where to plug the cord into.

301 spot the worst site in the park really hard to get in harder to get out very uneven, could not get our fridge to work so uneven and right on hwy 50 and we booked this three months ago and not a pull thru by any means

I chose this location because my three kids love to swim and I was hopeful that we would be able to have access to the pool while I prepared meals. Unfortunately, the pool closes at 5:30pm and we were not able to access it at all during our stay. With the volleyball option, the kids played a little and the creek helped them to explore but everything closes way too early including the store.

The road noise is insane! Our first night in spot 207 was terrible. People walking through our camp to go to the bathrooms RIGHT next door. Couldn't sit outside because the road noise was terrible!! Moved to 220 the second night and MUCH better, but still so much road noise. For almost $200/night, not worth the money :(

Price is triple a normal koa, spaces are extremely tight with trees and boulders in each space to navigate. Staff warns of bears and predators coming into sites so stay in at night. Staff was only positive about this place.

We absolutely loved this KOA! We had a site by the water, and it was absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. The staff was exceptional and gave lots of TLC to our dog as well. Our stay was only for two nights, and we were very sad to have to leave so soon. We are hoping to be back in the near future!

What also stood out was how connected the campground is to the local community. The onsite family was generous with recommendations and genuinely passionate about helping guests make the most of their Lake Tahoe visit. Through conversations with them, we discovered local businesses, activities, and experiences that we may otherwise have missed. It felt less like checking into a campground and more like being welcomed into the area by people who truly love where they live. As a New Zealander visiting Lake Tahoe, this campground was exactly what I picture when I think of an iconic American family camping holiday. Staying in a Deluxe Cabin gave me the perfect balance of comfort and camping. It was clean, welcoming, and well-equipped—everything I needed for a relaxing family stay. What I'll remember most, though, is the setting. The smell of the pine trees was so fresh and distinctive that I know it will always remind me of this campground. Waking up amongst the towering trees and spending my days outdoors felt like a genuine escape from everyday life. My children absolutely loved their time here, especially exploring the creek, swimming in the pool, and playing on the playground. There was always something for them to do, and the campground struck a wonderful balance between being peaceful and family-friendly. Another thing I appreciated was how accessible and welcoming the managingfamily was. They were often around the campground, genuinely interested in making sure guests were enjoying their stay, and always happy to share recommendations or answer questions. It was clear they care deeply about the property, and I enjoyed hearing about some of the improvements and future plans they have for the campground. This was a wonderful introduction to camping in the Lake Tahoe area, and I'm already looking forward to staying again.

We first stayed here 2 years ago (and I believe it was under new ownership/management then). They were friendly, enthusiastic and intent on improving the place. We returned this week and we're happy to see the same friendly and enthusiastic team and the improvements they had made with more to come. The team was always present and working around the campground. The grounds and buildings were clean and well-kept. We loved our site (111). It accommodated our 37 ft 5th wheel and truck easily. Looking forward to returning.
