This campground is a true gem! Tall pines, big boulders, and a rushing creek! This is why we camp! It’s rare to find an RV park that embraces nature so completely while still offering the convenience of full hookups. The staff takes great care of this slice of paradise. Their energy and love for the place makes you smile! And then there’s Tahoe . . . enough said!

I stayed in site 206 with a 40' 5th wheel. The camp host could have had me drive pretty much straight into the site as a pull through. Instead he had me go out and around the office and then attempt to back into the spot. That particular spot was quite narrow to maneuver around trees, a dumpster, and snow poles that was quite difficult to get around. Other than that the host was rather helpful

This campground is easy to miss as it is located in a forested area along a busy street with no signage to alert you of its presence. The campground itself is rustic with sites located among huge boulders and tall pine trees. Big rigs face challenges. Proximity to South Lake Tahoe is good. Staff is friendly and helpful. We stayed in one of the few pull throughs. Be prepare to pay big $$$$.

Very old, poorly maintained, tiny sites, hard to get into, not big rig friendly. Services were new and worked ok. Definitely would not recommend this site, will not return, surprised it is able to maintain it's KOA status, their standards have slipped. Not worth the $95 fee for sure, better off staying in a noisy rest area.

Beautiful but hard to fine spot (after dark) and not level. Bathrooms were just ok.

No pool (closed for season), no cable.or local channels, wifi so busy not useful, store empty, not even ice cream. To charge a KOA member $145 per night seems outrageous for a member in off season. There isn't even a shuttle to take you into town!!

Overpriced for the cost to services ratio! Only 30 amp service no extraordinary amenities for $165/night on a Sunday night! Stayed at Mammoth RV for $100/night had 50 amp service, sewer, water and cable plus facilities were great! There was nothing special at this KOA to warrant the cost of staying there!

Tiny cramped spaces really hard to pull into. Noisy from the highway. It was comical watching people try to maneuver their trailers around corners, In between rocks and trees. Nope, not for us.

We stayed during shoulder season so sites were pretty empty. If the campground were full it would have been very tight. Bathrooms and camping area were very clean !

This is a great KOA. Fantastic scenery, well located outside of the busy South Lake Tahoe. The day we left, we had a minor incident with our RV, and both managers jumped in to help us get on the road. We will stay here next time we visit Tahoe.

WE loved staying here at this KOA, we love KOA's anyway. It was very convenient getting in and out. The restrooms were clean and the campground was fun. WE will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

I paid over 500 dollars and felt like I was camping in the middle of US Highway 50! 500.00 no pool, no hot tub, no WiFi, no river!! but lots of traffic noise

We stayed 5 days. The campground is great. Spots are a little difficult to get in and out of. The staff were quite nice. We will be staying there again.

Beautiful campground, great staff. Probably should unhook tow vehicle before heading to your site, pretty tight getting around with larger motor homes without dropping your toad.

Very worn out and out-dated utility connections, black top is years late on re-surfacing; quite a distance out of South Lake Tahoe but very close to the highway. This site should be inspected to see if it aligns with quality control of KOA. The charge was exorbitant - $140 for the site plus a $10.00 “facility protection fee” for what? The girl at check in could not explain what this was for.

Manager was rude. 16 year old answered our questions better than the interaction with the defensive adult manager. When you book 8 RV parks it’s hard to remember everything. We knew 30 amp, we didn’t realize they didn’t have 50 amp at all. Manager lied to us about park not having 50 amp. It was at one point because there are 50 amp plugs. Love KOAs, but will never stay at this one agai

Very friendly helpful staff. Park is located directly on hwy 50 which makes it very noisy however surprisingly quite at night. Park is very close quarters making it a bit difficult to maneuver larger units.

Nice enough KOA staff was kind. It was way over priced though 100+ for a class B van and uneven camp site that was impossible to level on was not worth the $$.

Spaces are to tight. Roads thru the park are to narrow. Laundry was filthy. Way over priced.

It seems aa though the sites you select at reservation are not quite the right length. Our RV did indeed fit, however out tow vehicle didn't. The staff did come down and help with a solution after snide comments about our RV not being the length we said it was (guess the manufacturer measured wrong?) and that they had had bigger campers in that spot without a problem. Several off leash dogs there.

KOA Tahoe is our favorite campground! Perfect mix of rustic camping and nice amenities. The hosts are amazing: hard-working, friendly, and helpful! Some reviews complain that some sites are tricky to navigate, but that’s because of the trees and rocks that give it true Tahoe charm. When you camp here, you want to feel like you’re in the mountains and woods! Hosts help navigate you in your spot

Great campground. Really close to everything ‘Lake Tahoe’. Amazingly clean bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. The staff is really helpful and very nice. Other than occasional traffic sounds, the campground is very quiet.

What also stood out was how connected the campground is to the local community. The onsite family was generous with recommendations and genuinely passionate about helping guests make the most of their Lake Tahoe visit. Through conversations with them, we discovered local businesses, activities, and experiences that we may otherwise have missed. It felt less like checking into a campground and more like being welcomed into the area by people who truly love where they live. As a New Zealander visiting Lake Tahoe, this campground was exactly what I picture when I think of an iconic American family camping holiday. Staying in a Deluxe Cabin gave me the perfect balance of comfort and camping. It was clean, welcoming, and well-equipped—everything I needed for a relaxing family stay. What I'll remember most, though, is the setting. The smell of the pine trees was so fresh and distinctive that I know it will always remind me of this campground. Waking up amongst the towering trees and spending my days outdoors felt like a genuine escape from everyday life. My children absolutely loved their time here, especially exploring the creek, swimming in the pool, and playing on the playground. There was always something for them to do, and the campground struck a wonderful balance between being peaceful and family-friendly. Another thing I appreciated was how accessible and welcoming the managingfamily was. They were often around the campground, genuinely interested in making sure guests were enjoying their stay, and always happy to share recommendations or answer questions. It was clear they care deeply about the property, and I enjoyed hearing about some of the improvements and future plans they have for the campground. This was a wonderful introduction to camping in the Lake Tahoe area, and I'm already looking forward to staying again.

We first stayed here 2 years ago (and I believe it was under new ownership/management then). They were friendly, enthusiastic and intent on improving the place. We returned this week and we're happy to see the same friendly and enthusiastic team and the improvements they had made with more to come. The team was always present and working around the campground. The grounds and buildings were clean and well-kept. We loved our site (111). It accommodated our 37 ft 5th wheel and truck easily. Looking forward to returning.
