The campground host was horrible. The host never spoke to us until late the second day. Approached us in our lawn chairs and mumbled, "did you come in last night?". We said "yes". He mumbled "do you want to charge the $389 to card on file". We said "yes". He turned and walked away. He almost ran us over with his golf cart that morning on our walk. I had to pull my husband out of the way.

The ladies in the office went above & beyond to welcome us. We were celebrating a birthday. We were allowed to move our two sites to the creek side. SO enjoyable, & peaceful. Thank you again Mom & Daughter. May 10x the kindness return to you both, and yes we'll be back!

Had a little problem with our initial site but Yery took good care of us and found us a new site. Thank you again, Yery. The facility was clean and well kept. I would come back next summer.

Campground was nice and organized even though renovations are ongoing. Cabin is a nice size and well supplied. Table lamps would be a good addition. The cabin itself could use a deep clean, especially the table and chairs. Staff was friendly. Overall a very nice visit.

The Perez family were awesome hosts. Site was perfect for our big rig and trailer. I was comfortable leaving my rig to do the Rubicon.

Our stay was wonderful, all the staff were very friendly and helpful on all the local activities and helping us with our Hwy choices for our next trip. I would stay there anytime I’m in the area.

We arrived late during the night. Check in was smooth and issue free. Bathrooms are clean with plenty of hot water. Camp store has many of the supplies in case you forgot something. Overall an excellent stay. Camp staff is very friendly and always will to provide a helping hand.

The road to our site was very tight for a 40' 5th wheel. The campground itself is beatifull and will stay there again.

We had the best time at Lake Tahoe KOA. Check in was easy and the people running the campground are super nice and helpful. The spaces are a tad tight but with expert driving, we got the perfect set up and view. We will definitely be returning!

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Restrooms were clean and neat. Had a great time

Loud road noise and headlight shining in the windows all night. Staff refused to help back in so he didn't have to get out in rain. Spots too tight. Not big rig friendly. Doing major construction and it was loud hammering into cement during our stay. Has zero things for kids besides a broke down playground

Very helpful when parking trailer and even helped when we left.

I stayed in a tent site with power. It was easy to park my vehicle at the site.

The staff was overly friendly and very cool that it is family managed. They are also Veterans which is a plus for me. My family had a great time here.

Fantastic people running this KOA. I would definitely stay again however, my trailler is 34' and very difficult to park there.

Five-star experience! I stayed for a week and didn’t want to leave. The location is quiet yet close to everything. The staff are incredibly kind and care about your stay. The park has a heated pool, propane refill station, and beautiful trees. They’re working to make this one of the best KOA locations, and I highly recommend it. A great place and an amazing experience!

No after dark monitoring of customer violations. Our neighbors built a fire, 4 feet tall and played music until 2AM. No where is there an after hour phone number that is answered! Not happy with your campground. Even after reporting this the next morning, no one came and did a follow up, obviously you do not care! You won’t see us back !

Friendly welcoming staff at check in. Someone helped us find our site and back in. Decently clean showers and pool. Some road noise but not enough to keep us awake. A little tricky to turn properly into the park coming down the pass but just pay attention and watch for it or you will have to turn around and come back.

Convenient location to Lake Tahoe. Very friendly and helpful staff. There is obviously lots of maintenance and repair going on under the new ownership. For now, I would simply caution Big Rig owners that the park is small and tight (like many other older parks). There are a few pull-through sites that big rigs should be comfortable in, but not many. Otherwise, smaller rigs should have no problem.

Bathrooms are old and falling apart, sites are sloped and uneven and our blocks sank in ruts trying to level it.

We have been staying at this koa for years and were sad when it closed. We are extremely happy it is reopened! The new management have done a great job getting it in shape. They are very nice, efficient and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend Tahoe KOA and will be back! Thank you Perez Family for all of your hard work!

Josh and Vivian along with their mom were excellant at helping me with an electrical issue. Hard working eager to help brother and sister. The RV park was under renovations because they just became a KOA facility but everything was great and looking forward to coming back in a couple months. :)

1.the Bathrooms needed to be undated 2. If I was able to make a fire--( the fire pit was poorly put far away from table and tent.) poor design.

Staff was welcoming and helpful. Site was very unlevel and poorly planned out. Space was very close to the highway and road noise was very noticeable. The staff promises changes are underway but I would be cautious to stay in any "off river" spaces until those improvements are made - especially for the price (very expensive for what you get)

When we registered, I was greeted by who I believe is the owner and another young lady. They were friendly and helpful. It was our first trip out with the new camper, and they were so helpful! The young man who helped us park was friendly, knowledgeable, and he assisted with ease. The campsites were clean and maintained.

Great place, quiet and beautiful surroundings. We saw a Mama bear and cub on the bike trail!!

Sites vraiment trop petits et trop près les uns des autres.

Awesome park. Wonderful customer service. We will be back!

Parking slips very difficult to maneuver. Ricks everywhere.

Older campground, electric and water pressure issues on our side, owners nice and seemed to be working on upgrades

Very barely friendly staff made us feel at home and the restrooms were always clean and smelling good.

We stayed there in JULY 2024. The campground was busy and the spaces are very tight getting in and out. The staff (owners) were great and very accommodating. We were told that the campground had been closed for several years and they had just reopened. I’m sure the owners will make this a great place to stay.

As a family travel brand, we've visited campgrounds across the western United States, and Lake Tahoe KOA stands out as a place that makes outdoor adventures easy, enjoyable, and accessible for families. One of the things we appreciated most was its location. It provides a fantastic base for exploring everything the Lake Tahoe area has to offer, while still being somewhere you're happy to return to at the end of the day. Whether you're spending your time on the lake, exploring nearby attractions, hiking, or simply enjoying the mountain scenery, the campground is perfectly positioned to make the most of the region. What also stood out was how connected the campground is to the local community. The onsite family was generous with recommendations and genuinely passionate about helping guests make the most of their Lake Tahoe visit. Through conversations with them, we discovered local businesses, activities, and experiences that we may otherwise have missed. It felt less like checking into a campground and more like being welcomed into the area by people who truly love where they live. Families will appreciate the heated pool, playground, seasonal activities, dog run, creek, and beautiful forest setting, while practical amenities like the laundry facilities and camp store make longer stays easy and comfortable. Lake Tahoe KOA is more than just a place to stay—it's a place that helps families slow down, spend time together outdoors, and experience the best of the Tahoe area. We're already looking forward to returning. — Elevated Adventure Fams

As a New Zealander visiting Lake Tahoe, this campground was exactly what I picture when I think of an iconic American family camping holiday. Staying in a Deluxe Cabin gave me the perfect balance of comfort and camping. It was clean, welcoming, and well-equipped—everything I needed for a relaxing family stay. What I'll remember most, though, is the setting. The smell of the pine trees was so fresh and distinctive that I know it will always remind me of this campground. Waking up amongst the towering trees and spending my days outdoors felt like a genuine escape from everyday life. My children absolutely loved their time here, especially exploring the creek, swimming in the pool, and playing on the playground. There was always something for them to do, and the campground struck a wonderful balance between being peaceful and family-friendly. Another thing I appreciated was how accessible and welcoming the managingfamily was. They were often around the campground, genuinely interested in making sure guests were enjoying their stay, and always happy to share recommendations or answer questions. It was clear they care deeply about the property, and I enjoyed hearing about some of the improvements and future plans they have for the campground. This was a wonderful introduction to camping in the Lake Tahoe area, and I'm already looking forward to staying again.

We first stayed here 2 years ago (and I believe it was under new ownership/management then). They were friendly, enthusiastic and intent on improving the place. We returned this week and we're happy to see the same friendly and enthusiastic team and the improvements they had made with more to come. The team was always present and working around the campground. The grounds and buildings were clean and well-kept. We loved our site (111). It accommodated our 37 ft 5th wheel and truck easily. Looking forward to returning.
