Plain dirt unlevel pads that were muddy after rain were not what I expected for the cost. Narrow roads caused one even at midnight to beep beep beep trying for a half hour to maneuver. Loud dodge pickup kept going at the same time. Very close to highway produced noise. Charged us a fire protection fee that was part of their regular tax bill for more profit. Fire dept said they don’t charge.

Everything was great. One of the things that could make it better would be to have a bigger dog run with grass so we wouldn't have to wash our dog's feet every time they needed to go out.

The stay was nice. Our site was 212 which the fire pit is in the wrong space between two rocks which is hard to sit around and it feels like you are part of the campsite next to you

We had a wonderful week camping at the Lake Tahoe KOA. Since reopening there have been noticeable upgrades to much of the amenities. In particular we appreciated the dedicated pet area. Also, the staff was always super friendly and helpful with our questions.

This KOA is in a good location if you want to be close to Echo Lake, but that's about the only upside. It's so expensive to stay here and you get nothing for it. The grounds aren't nice, the spots are really tight and close together and the bathrooms were run-down. We won't stay here again.

For the price one would expect a reasonable level campsite however, this was the most unlevel site we’ve encountered in 5 years of traversing this beautiful country of ours. We used all of our 24 plus blocks for leveling and it was still off!!

Nice friendly place. Some site have lots of road noise. Need better signage on road as it's tough to spot the entrance going either way. Enjoyed the stay once I found it

I am very happy with the lot assigned to us. Lot 366. It is close to the creek and have the amenities needed for our stay. The service was great, and we are grateful for your hospitality.

The staffs are very efficient and everything went smoothly from check in until check out. Facility is very clean including pool, bathroom and shower.

Next-door neighbors would leave their dogs all day by themselves and they would bark and howl all day long and not much privacy between sites

Site was dusty loose dirt and uneven. Very hard to level my sprinter van. The sewer connection was above my drains on the van, it needs to be lowered. The electrical connection junction box was so low I had to get on my hands and knees to see where to plug the cord into.

301 spot the worst site in the park really hard to get in harder to get out very uneven, could not get our fridge to work so uneven and right on hwy 50 and we booked this three months ago and not a pull thru by any means

The restrooms were not as clean as I expect from a koa...they were also very smelly. Reception was very friendly.

I chose this location because my three kids love to swim and I was hopeful that we would be able to have access to the pool while I prepared meals. Unfortunately, the pool closes at 5:30pm and we were not able to access it at all during our stay. With the volleyball option, the kids played a little and the creek helped them to explore but everything closes way too early including the store.

The road noise is insane! Our first night in spot 207 was terrible. People walking through our camp to go to the bathrooms RIGHT next door. Couldn't sit outside because the road noise was terrible!! Moved to 220 the second night and MUCH better, but still so much road noise. For almost $200/night, not worth the money :(

Weve been camping with KOA across California since 2014,this is our 2nd time camping on this location.We are in our 30s-40s camping with our kids&our parents. Despite assuring staff in a calm manner that we will be keeping quiet,staff continued yelling at us at past10pm, “Im not here to argue. I’m just reminding you.If u don’t want to comply, I’ll call the sheriff&get u all out of MY campg

Price is triple a normal koa, spaces are extremely tight with trees and boulders in each space to navigate. Staff warns of bears and predators coming into sites so stay in at night. Staff was only positive about this place.

We absolutely loved this KOA! We had a site by the water, and it was absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. The staff was exceptional and gave lots of TLC to our dog as well. Our stay was only for two nights, and we were very sad to have to leave so soon. We are hoping to be back in the near future!

Awesome place! Immaculate , staff extremely friendly and helpful. Nice pads. Highway noise a bit loud, but that's tu be expected. Not the parks fault. Amenities were in great condition!

I really enjoyed the environment let alone the nice little creek just behind our campsite. What was most amazing was how friendly the workers and owners are, and how they are on top of keeping the ground very clean and attentive.

The campground was nice and everyone was very friendly, however, it is too close to Hwy 50. Instead of hearing nature sounds, we only heard traffic. I know there is not much to be done about this, it is what it is. However, if you can choose a spot closer to the creek, do so. The ones at the front of the campground are not great.

No internet at my site- and available on any of my devices…guest reception tried to help but for my 2 night stay never could connect//:/ maybe at the airtsream have a modem or hard wire

Needs a better dishwashing station because of the difficulty in mixing hot and cold water. The facets are fixed and not adjustable so you either get icy cold water or scalding hot water. Also, bear boxes are needed at the tent camping sites if the bears are stated to be in the area.

Love this campground! The staff are amazing and make you feel at home and safe. I love that they make it possible to get my favorite site when I reserve. I will keep coming back for sure! The only improvement I would like to see is cable hookup and better WiFi.

We enjoyed the KOA location and our great site was excellent as we had no surrounding RVs. I downgraded the rating because of the pool hours-530pm is just a little early. After a day enjoying Lake Tahoe it would be nice to return to that cute, clean pool. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. We hope to return!

It felt less like checking into a campground and more like being welcomed into the area by people who truly love where they live. As a New Zealander visiting Lake Tahoe, this campground was exactly what I picture when I think of an iconic American family camping holiday. Staying in a Deluxe Cabin gave me the perfect balance of comfort and camping. It was clean, welcoming, and well-equipped—everything I needed for a relaxing family stay. What I'll remember most, though, is the setting. The smell of the pine trees was so fresh and distinctive that I know it will always remind me of this campground. Waking up amongst the towering trees and spending my days outdoors felt like a genuine escape from everyday life. My children absolutely loved their time here, especially exploring the creek, swimming in the pool, and playing on the playground. There was always something for them to do, and the campground struck a wonderful balance between being peaceful and family-friendly. Another thing I appreciated was how accessible and welcoming the managingfamily was. They were often around the campground, genuinely interested in making sure guests were enjoying their stay, and always happy to share recommendations or answer questions. It was clear they care deeply about the property, and I enjoyed hearing about some of the improvements and future plans they have for the campground. This was a wonderful introduction to camping in the Lake Tahoe area, and I'm already looking forward to staying again.

We first stayed here 2 years ago (and I believe it was under new ownership/management then). They were friendly, enthusiastic and intent on improving the place. We returned this week and we're happy to see the same friendly and enthusiastic team and the improvements they had made with more to come. The team was always present and working around the campground. The grounds and buildings were clean and well-kept. We loved our site (111). It accommodated our 37 ft 5th wheel and truck easily. Looking forward to returning.
