Great location & grounds.

It was very clean and well taken care of. It was nice that they lead you into each campsite for the campers. I appreciated that very much.

This campground was closed from 2017-2022 and reopened in 2023. I stayed in site 219 in 2023, and spent our July week with windows open, sound of the Truckee River, while watching campers struggle to squeeze thru rocks and trees. In 2024, campers, trucks, trees and boulders were NOT crowding the driveways. Staff is kind, helpful and working hard to keep the camp clean and campers happy.

Out of date hook ups No out door space for chair Trash can always full even after it was emptied Dog run full of stickers no real grass area Staff did excessive speed around campground Confusion on entry and exit Restrooms were dirty most the time

Super clean and nice rustic cabin. Bed was comfortable and with the bunks gave us lots of room for our luggage. We were on the edge of the grounds and it worked out perfect, nice and quiet. Staff was also very nice and helpful!

This location seemed to be in a transition phase. The facilities were older and in need of some repairs, and each time we used the bathrooms they were either out of toilet paper or paper towels.

Upon arrival, we were notified that our spot that we were told was next to a wide open meadow was actually in their parking lot/driveway. The manager was very apologetic and told us this facility was under new ownership and that the person that told us we were next to a meadow was an employee from the past owner. We did not stay and the manager gave us a 100% refund. Site #207 is NOT a site!!!!

Very nice site friendly staff quiet it was a little pricey at $138.00 for one night.

While the campground was pretty clean and the staff was very friendly, we did not enjoy the tight roadways, the narrow site we were in, the noise from highway 50, and the lack of signage when trying to drive around.

Great stay. KOA team is new and introducing fresh life and ideas to campground. They are friendly, present and engaging. What we loved: flexibility and customer oriented focus. Worked last minute adjustment to our visit- fit us in early and adjusted stay on back the backend. Loved the creek and enjoyed relaxing in it. Store had basics. They have a vision and committed to site improvements.

It’s going to sound cheesy or sappy but the camp hosts are all so kind and truly care about each individual campers’ experience. I appreciated the fact that when I had to run to their store to buy a can opener, it wasn’t marked up by 150% but nearly the same price as what you would find at Target or Walmart. This was a refreshing experience for sure!

Spots are a little tight but over all great place to stay.

This park is overcrowded. We had the worst campsite in the world (212.) Our view was either the flat metal wall of the RV crowded next to us on either side, or the maintenance yard for the whole camp. The traffic noise from HWY 50 was deafening. You are restoring the office, fine, why not eliminate the campsites you jam into the tiny spaces in front of the office and make the area a dog park?

Terrible experience! We booked and payed for 2 nights but where so disappointed of the whole camping that we left after 1 night. There was no pool, no WiFi, no toilet paper and for the rest the whole camping needs to be fully renovated!! To complete the horror the site is located next to a very busy road. Heavy traffic 24 hours a day. Really not KOA worthy!!!!

Clean sites, nice creek at the back of the campground. Sites are close together but had good shade and the hosts were exceptionally helpful with a back in spot.

We were only there one night but the campground has new owners, and they are making a lot of improvements. If you stay on the side near hwy 50 it is a bit loud at night with trucks and cars going by. But there are other spots. Nice place and going to be even better as they continue to make improvements. Good location.

Nice area to stay. Facility needs significant facility improvements. Dead trees. Small sites.

I stayed the nights of July 12th and 13th, and departed on the 14th. Both mornings, the women's restroom was either out of toilet paper (in one to two of the 3 stalls) and out of paper towel on one of the days. Also, my camp rug had been taken from my campsite, which I discovered missing the night of the 13th when I returned from my family reunion. It had been taken from my campsite.

This campsite was by far the best I've stayed at. Sites, bathrooms and showers were always cleaned. But what I liked the most is the feeling of being out in the nature and the creek that you can hear at night while you are falling asleep. Highly recommend this site in lake tahoe.

The cabin could have been swept better prior to arrival. Everything else was great!

Great location in the area, easy access and nice sites! We will be back!

We were given a site that was really unleveled, dusty, with many ant holes. We could barely open our slideout. No place to put your outdoor rug. The swimming pool was not in service. Very crowded. Noisy bcuz it’s next to the freeway. The worst thing was that we asked if we could move spots and were told they were fully booked. But they had several open spots the following days. Very disappointed

The KOA needs some work. We learned during our stay that it had been shut for the last 5 years and just reopened a few months ago, but we didn't know that when we reserved. The traffic pattern is difficulty for all. The spot we were given for our 21' travel trailer was barely longer than the trailer and had little room. Hardly spave for the picnic table. Pool was non functional.

So much potential. Most of the sites are spacious with trees and big rocks that give it that real camping feel. The tent sites are very nice down by the creek. Highway 50 is right there and is noisy, but we were able to block it out. My recommendation is remove all the sites next to the office. I would have left if I was out in one of those. Overall it was nice. Maybe a small makeover.

No activities, too small of spaces, too far from Lake Tahoe, need to get the scheduling and management of the campsites down. Also take precautions in worksite areas to protect the public

There were multiple issues: 1) Restrooms were not clean, dark, and inadequate for the size of the campsite. 2) Restrooms lacked availability of basic things like toilet seat covers. 3) Showers were dirty. Noone cleaned it. 4) The layout of the campsite was confusing because of lack of direction and signage. 5) The tent site was full of ants. 6) The campground lacked basic maintenance and

Staff is the best part of this new KOA campground that is being renovated. The pool isn't ready yet, the bathrooms need to be renovated still, the store is small but nice, the roads in the campground are narrow, twisty and not for large RVs, the creek is nice but these campsites are dirt, the site we had was paved and level but backed up to US 50 highway & very loud during the day, lots of trees

I would never stay here again, not only is the staff too young without experience, the whole park is garbage. So very disappointed in this KOA!!!

I couldn’t use all my electrical power at once….the breaker would trip everytime!!! My spot was very unlevel and it became a mud pit after the rain!!!

When your website says sites are cozy you all are not kidding. We just spent 3 nights at the KOA left 1 night early because of weather, the site and wanting a little more for our money. The staff was incredibly kind and refunded our extra night stay which was not expected but appreciated.

Beautiful and well maintained spot for our tent right next to a burbling, icy-cold mountain stream. Facilities were clean and working well! Swimming pool- which isn’t finished yet- looks awesome! General store offered just what campers need. Loved that it was family run, too! Great people doing a great job! Please consider bear boxes is my only ask. Your bears are polite and non- aggressive but

This is the best campground we've ever stayed at! The hospitality was fantastic, super clean and well taken care of. We're traveling in a 19ft RV for our honeymoon. They upgraded our campsite complimentary so we could be secluded on the river. The river provided wonderful noise that you can hear throughout the campsite so no matter where you were it felt like you were secluded. The pool, bathrooms, general store, and laundry room were all spotless all the time. Plenty of hot water for showers and plenty of showers. They opened the store for us after hours because we forgot to buy water after a long day at the lake. They delivered everything to our site- firewood, ice, charcoal. There was a dog park for our pups. It was beautiful and will 100% be back again!! Thanks to the Perez family for a wonderful stay!

We had a great stay. Stayed recently during non peak time. Nice and quiet. Road noise was minimal and drowned by the wind through the trees and the running creek. Everything was very clean and well kept. Site 109 is super dope, and thank you for putting us there. The laundry is clean, small capacity machines, and a bit older. The dog run is fairly new, smaller, but just walk the grounds. Well shaded, many trees, but burn scare is evident. Starlink service was obstructed, but decent. Verizon cell service was solid. Very clean, well run park about 25 minutes from the lake. Pretty drive to the lake. There's a cool app that is like a tour if you feel like doing the drive around the lake. Ask the girls managing the place as they referred us (I wish I remembered names, and I'm sorry). All staff were spot on on, available, friendly, and polite. You can clearly tell that they've put in a lot of work into the park. Our site was awesome, back in, plenty of room, and all services worked. Water pressure I kept at 40 psi. Power did go out one night, but, just look up if the sky is clear! I had no issue navigating our 31 class C. A few 35+ class A's also stayed and they had no issues that I saw. Gave a Veteran's discount. Dog friendly. It was our first time in the area, and it was wonderful. We also checked out some of the other campgrounds in the area while cruising and non of them beat out this KOA's style. The drive to the lake is short, but gorgeous. We could not recommend this place more. We'll be back though again for sure! Thanks for the great stay
