We arrived later (and darker) than we prefer. Fox Fir KOA was welcoming and helpful getting us to our site. The site suited our rig very nicely. We did not need to unhook and the site was oriented to get us back on the road easily. Only downsides: unavoidable road noise resulting from convenient location and their infrastructure, while functional, is showing its age.

The entrance to the campground is challenging for a big rig to say the least. The campground hosts are very friendly and helpful. Our campsite was a grassy lot with many wet oak leaves( not the best with 2 dogs). We were only there overnight so I can’t say anything about the area or the campground amenities.

Camp sites were a little small and seem dated. We really did not like having to walk past the over-filled dumpsters on the way to the dog park. Great location not too far off the highway..great staff and love the resident ginger kitties Rutger and Bullet.�

Lovely, wooded campground not too far off of Interstate 64. This was our second stay there, and we love it! We’re always on our way somewhere else, and wish we could stay longer. Nice campsites with stone fire pits, patios and chairs. The campground has its own swimming lake, which looks charming. We will be back and hopefully get to spend more time.

The campground is well maintained, sites are typical KOA but there is a little more space but don’t think about opening your awnings. They need to warn on the reservation telling people not to try to make a right turn off the highway, luckily I read in a review warning of this very tight turn, if your driving anything over 25 ft you have to come in from the west & turn left into the campgrou.

Everything worked and the place was ready for me and easy to find. The only negatives are not really any one’s fault but are things that I’d consider before staying again and one thing I’d recommend. Recommend - the turn off the main road onto Fox road is a really difficult turn from one direction. I wish there had been more info about how difficult this could be and the spot itself

Not sure why anyone would say this park is nice. We saw nothing good about it. The camp hosts were very friendly but this place needs an upgrade. No more koa campgrounds for us

We only stayed a few days but we will definitely return. Everything was clean and the staff was very friendly at check in. Since we were driving a very long RV and hauling a car hauler behind it was extremely helpful that we had an escort to our spot.

Beautiful park! I love all the Halloween and fall decorations. The employees were very nice and accommodating. Will definitely be back!

It was our annual Halloween trip. All together there was over 18 camper and 3 cabins over 80 people all together. Always a good time. But I have been sad that during our stay someone stole 3 yetti coolers and a music box. So might need a security guard at night.

We loved our stay, but the water did not get warm enough in the shower. A staff member checked it for us, but it still didn't get hot.

Good location for a single night while passing thru WV. Well maintained and clean buildings, and plentiful green space for walking a dog

Amazing campground. We stayed for the Halloween weekends and we loved them. Activities planned out for everyone and safety taken into the highest consideration for the guests.

We love coming there for Halloween. This year someone stole my son’s $500 Turtle Box. So disappointing!!! I heard from some of the mother campers with us that they had 2 YETI coolers stolen. Just a shame. Not y’all fault but very disappointed!

In the 18 years of owning and operating this KOA there has never been anything stolen. So we find it very odd that three people camping next to each other in your large group had things come up missing all in one weekend. We apologize and hope you find your coolers and your "turtle box".

In short my cooler and nearby campers had property stolen. The camp manager was called to inquire about reviewing cameras or look into the situation. That would have been all that was needed. Instead I was told that I had threatened her by saying my review was going to be negative. In fact by saying I may leave that review I was told I would never be welcome back.

Leaving out pertinent facts does not change the truth. You were informed about our security cameras but continued to assert that nothing was being done. When you resorted to threating comments on social media, that's when you were told you would not be welcomed back to our KOA.

We reserved a spot several months ago and put down the payment. When we showed up, we were told that since we didn't put down the holding fee, we were moved to a spot that we did not want. Not once were we told about the holding fee when we checked out several different spots before reserving nor were we given a chance to keep our spot. Would have been happy to pay it if I was given a chance.

You have to get the sewer smell under control. You charge so much to stay there only to have to smell sewer the whole time you’re there. We are getting tired of it.

We have looked into the "sewer smell" and it is not coming from our campground. The smell is coming from a neighboring manufacturer. They burn off their by-products every Saturday evening and when the wind is just right it smells unpleasant to our guests. Sorry for your experience.

Was thankful that this cabin had linens, pillows, sheets. blanket.. everything one would need. After driving 9 hours one wya, and arriving here that was a blessing! I was disappointed that there was no hot water throughout the stay! Yes it was an on demand hot water heater, but because the propane was running low to this cabin, there wasn't enough juice to make the hot water.Big burneron tove also

Staff are extremely friendly and hours of operation are great. Stayed in a cabin this visit, table and chairs were sticky and we had to wash food residue off off both. Five out of six window blinds had broken/ missing blades, furniture very worn and expensive pet fees...$100 for our two pups. Pet fees should cover some repairs. Shower was very nice with plenty of warm water.

Thank you for your feedback. We will look into getting the windows fixed. New furniture has been ordered after a previous guest had done some damage. It just takes awhile to get it delivered becuase it is a custom size for this cabin.

It’s an older park that could use some updating. The road leading to the entrance definitely did not give us a good impression. Like a majority of KOAs this park is close to the expressway. I probably would look for another campground as the traffic noise seemed extreme at this park.

Our KOA is certainly convenient to I64 making for easy access and return for your overnite stay. Please try us again and we will try our best to get you a site further away from the interstate.

When we got there the site was tight to the one beside us and muddy. Wasn't happy especially finding out that the neighbors took over our 50amp and left us with 30. (Nope won't work). So after talking to office they gave us a Premier site. Much Much better. Thank you. Dog Park very nice. But the gas grill had no gas, what is the point on having a gas grill on a Premier lot. There was a very nice stocked fishing lake. We only stayed for 1 night.

This is a campground with cabins also but we were traveling thru to a destination. We stayed in our camper. We liked it well enough that we stayed again on our way home.
