Halifax West KOA Reviews

The campground itself is a great campground. But this time & 2 weeks ago, we got stuck by a campsite that had several animals which made our stay tough. I do not believe goats, off leash pit bulls, & ducks should be permitted in a campground. we had instances where we feared for our safety with the pit bull coming onto our campsite, barking & being aggressive while the other animals kept us awake

The owner Joe was always make you welcome and always answered your questions or info .

1) RV sites in F loop much too small to accommodate RV and car. Multiple people had issues backing in due to the very tight space. 2) Running out of Water and having to call office at 8 pm so they can “Switch the Tanks”. 3) People constantly walking through other people’s sites. 4) Children riding bikes and rent scooters I middle of the road all day, no heed for cars. 5) Proximity t

Staff were nice but emphasized extra charges. Not enough public toilets or showers for the site capacity. Happy with the location to give day-trip access to Halifax, St John, Peggy’s Cove & Lunenberg.

Bonjour, bel endroit, les gens sont gentils. Une grosse ombre au tableau, les sentiers d'accès au site pour aller s'installer. Nous sommes restés 4 jours et 3 soirs nous avons du arrêter notre souper à cause de la poussière générée par le chemin. Tres désagréable !! Même à basse vitesse, il y a de la poussière. C'est dommage, car c'est un bel endroit près de tout. Vraiment dé

It was perfect to park the RV and come back for a good night's sleep while exploring the sites around Halifax. Our kids are older, so we didn't participate in any of the campsite activities, but the little ones there seemed to be having a wonderful time at the playground, arcade and pool!

In need of some TLC

Hands down the best KOA we have stayed at yet! Clean and well maintained. Very very friendly helpful staff. Highly recommend this spot!

The owners and staff are super friendly and kind and do everything possible to ensure you have a great stay. The campground is well looked after and the activities for kids are just super! We love it here.

We were supposed to have side by side campsite however someone is there for some reason we don’t know as we book the site month advance ,so when i told them they proactively say they will refund the other site and gave us a big site to accommodate us. Having our site near the pool is pefect for the kids. Thank you and will be back soon

This campground has it all … beautiful treed sites, lake for canoeing and fishing, pool, wonderful playground with a jump pad, pancake breakfast and more! The staff is friendly and helpful; we had an amazing time and will definitely be back. We’ve been to many campgrounds in Nova Scotia and this is definitely at the top of our favourite list. Thank you KIA we had a wonderful time!

The stay was great! Follow up not so much! We forgot something at our site and three phone calls later have still not received a proper response!!! Trailers are also too close to each other.

Badly organized entrance, too small. Peoples make noise spend the respective hours. By our side two trailers on the same land. No security service, let go complète.

We loved being there and treat it like we were part of the family.

Stay was great even in the rain and had entertainment “ great”

The campground is a rambling place of buildins, camp sites and trees… it all seems haphazard! Located 30min out of Halifax, the location is ok, but not a lot of amenities around. Lots of clean washrooms on site and laundry. Water is off a well and it ran dry one night, resulting in brackish water in our unit and plugging our hot water system.

Had a lovely level site on the water. Bathroom was clean. Staff was super. My travel trailer is small, but many sites could handle large rigs.
