Halifax West KOA Reviews

We stayed at cabin 2. I found the matress very comfortable and loved the water view. Loved having the dock and availability of kayaks and canoes even though we didn't have time to take advantage. My Son was impressed with the showers and pancake breakfast. Would recommend this place for families and would stay again sometime.

Didn’t not enjoy our stay, didn’t think the service was good and a lot of older kids running around with no supervision which made made our stay with 3 younger children very difficult

Very small space, lack of privacy. Lots of seasonal campers and some untidy spots. Pool, laundry and showers were all clean and pancakes breakfast was a nice treat and super inexpensive.

Service was great. Staff was kind and friendly. Park was clean. About a 30min drive to downtown Halifax.

First time there and was so impressed. So much for kids to do. Very very clean bathrooms and showers. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

We stayed in late July for 2 nights, to be close to Halifax, Nova Scotia. This was probably the busiest time of year for this KOA, bustling and brim-full of kids riding all sorts of bikes and other wheeled vehicles. It was the noisiest campground we've ever been to, between all of the families and the loud road noise, which of course the campground can't help. Great for kids, not for old folks.

Sites are too small. Location is not close to anything. However, people were nice and facility was clean.

Great place to camp! Rented a cabin which was beautiful. We were expecting a fridge or even electricity for that matter! Lots to do for the kids and all the kids there were very friendly. We had a great time! Thanks for hosting us

We had a pull through site. The dump point on the site was uphill from the discharge on our 5th wheel so to dump we had to play lift the hose for all 3 tanks. Not a good start to the day. We were near the maintenance end of the park and there were trucks and carts etc rolling by at 7:30 in the evening making dust and noise. The camp and everything was nice but the uphill dump was bad �.

Our site was right next to the the dump station and our neighbor’s sewer pipe was less than 2 feet from our picnic table.A large majority of the sites did not have sewer lines so the dumping station was constant.We did not get to sit or cook outside. Also behind us was a fire wood processing facility which was very loud. We did enjoy the Sat. evening singers, morning pancakes and icecream parlo

We did get sewer smells once in a while and our site was pretty tight to get in. It is convenient as it is close to Halifax. Laundromat is ok.

Besu camping parfait pour les familles sbec son parc, sa piscine chauffée, sa rivière oú on peut louer fes canots, son wifi fort. Chaque jour ils servent des crêpes et de la crème glacée à prix raisonnable. Environ 30 minutes du centre ville d’Halifax. Je le recommande

our stay was to be As for two weeks and ended up by beaning three weeks . We found out our credit card got compromised . And we did not have a cash to get back home with ,I thought we would have had it fixed by Mon . But it did not work that way .It took a few mores days to get things straightened up. Joe and his wife left us where we where camping until things where fixed . I appreciate it.

Minus the beds being very hard on the backs, it was a great stay that I extended for an extra 2 nights. If we could dismiss every hornet in this world, it be even better. The screen doors could use an adjustment to firmly shut with no gaps to allow bugs to get into the cabins. The main door has a pretty big gap also allowing bugs in also.

Lack of maintenance, small sites , machinery sounds…. Never again
