This was a lovely, quirky little place. The goats and donkeys on the property provided endless entertainment. The only disappointment was they were fully booked when we wanted to stay another night. A testament to how awesome this place is!

Always a fun time staying at the Gunnison KOA. Everyone is super nice and helpful! The donkeys and goats are also fun to see especially if you're travelling with kids (of all ages)! Thanks again KOA Dave!!

We usually camp with our class b Winnebago Era but this trip we were tent camping for one night. We got there just as the office was closing and were assigned a site. Our site (and others near us) super soggy due to flooding from a small culvert. We finally found a tiny spot were the water wasn’t as deep. Our gear/tent/sleeping bags were soaked. You shouldn’t have rented a site like this.

The campground and bathrooms are quite nicely kept up...with the exception of burro droppings on the grass! We liked seeing the animals be free to roam, but perhaps the front desk should let the folks know, We had left out some food and the burros got to it, However, it was a pleasant stay and look forward to coming again! Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

We booked a tent site w/o hook-ups for our van. It was perfect. We got to park on nice level grass in a very clean site. The amenities were nice and clean, with very affordable laundry. Strong WI-FI too! The only reason I didn’t give them 10/10 is the airport next door. Thankfully, not a lot of jets fly in/out. We will definitely be booking this one again!!

Been coming here for years. The KOA is clean, friendly and quiet which is why I keep returning.

The staff was fantastic and always very helpful. The rescue animals were very great and added a calming feel. The property overall was very well kept.

Not the nicest KOA we've ever stayed in. Camp store was severely lacking. Did appreciate that firewood was delivered to our campsite. The jets taking off from 7:30 in the morning till evening was interesting, but terribly loud. Fact that not every tent site had a firepit was annoying. And the tent sites were too close together. All in all, this campground was just so so.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and had a great spot too. I would say is that the men's restrooms could stand an upgrade, mainly the toilets as these are no more then glorified buckets with a seat. New ones that are long oval and will also flush with less water would be a massive improvement. Yes the bathrooms are kept spotless and the hard work around the grounds show the owners and crew care!!

Beautifully maintained. I’m sad that it took half my life before I discovered the beauty and convenience of KOAs. I am hooked now! The only downside was that the women’s restroom could use some maintenance. One shower only runs cold and one bathroom stall doesn’t flush properly. It does have a sign stating to hold down the lever until it flushes, but even when you do it still hardly flushes.

Nice A-frame cover for our site, right next to the creek. Quiet, well kept KOA, staff very friendly and accommodating. Perfect, would stay here again for sure! Really close to town and stores but minimal road traffic here.

Accommodations were good overall. We tent camped. Cleaning person did an amazing job keeping the bathrooms very clean(until the public destroyed them by the end of the day.) Mosquitos were pretty bad in the morning and evening hours especially. The grounds were constantly being watered so that probably promoted the mosquitoes to hatch more. Our entire site remained pretty wet and soggy.

The KOA Gunnison is a very nicely laid out property. We love that it's alot cooler in the summer there.. I'm a Gunnison Native that moved away.. Only issues was the toilets were loose, the floor drain grate was missing..could hurt or injure someone. HOT WATER for showers each time was almost non existant...so I give them a 6 out 10.. Hopefully their maintenance will fix those issues soon.

Spent a week tent camping and had a great spot. The tent site shade and the campground has easy access to Gunnison for supplies plus we could ride our bikes there.

Tent camped here on 6/21/2025 & 6/22/2025. The restroom & shower facilities were very clean. The owners were extremely nice people. They also gave us details on places to eat dinner (5 B's BBQ & Ol' Miner Steakhouse). The animals roaming around are so cool. The owner does his best to clean up after them and he is always willingly to stop and talk.
