This was our first time staying at a KOA and we had so much fun. The campgrounds were so nice and well maintained. The grass was beautiful. It was so safe. Will be back!

Friendly, efficient, flexible staff. Good tent sites. Interesting farm animals. Convenient location. Very helpful for reading to have lighted rooms 24/7.

Good facilities for camping, especially the individual shelter roofs nearby the tends. In walk distance to Gunnison and services. A little loud when aircrafts starts and lands.

We LOVE the Gunnison KOA and have stayed here many times and ithe grounds are always beautiful and well-maintained! Our stay was wonderful, however, the bathrooms weren't very clean this time. It won't keep us from returning, just something to be aware of. Thanks so much!!

Great for a family or anyone who enjoys animals! We loved meeting the goats and ponies that roamed around camp. Wanted to see the burros but they must have been having fun somewhere else on the grounds while we were there. Friendly and welcoming staff. Structures were looking a bit worn but overall a good stay we enjoyed �

Great location, convenient to where we needed to be this weekend. Loved the farm animals. Our specific campsite didn’t have shade but we found shade nearby we were able to take advantage of. Great staff. Hot water in restrooms and free showers was great.

Our stay was great! My partner and I stayed at one of the covered mulch tent sites. We loved the A frame cover; it was very nice to keep the tent cool in the hot sun. We also loved all of the free roaming animals on site. This was so unique and an awesome experience getting to camp amongst all of the donkeys and goats. One minor suggestion I have is to have closer bathroom to the mulch tent sites

The campsite was clean and well laid out. It was a bit of a walk to get to the main building for the restroom and laundry. The staff were friendly and helpful, and were knowledgeable about places to go around town and beyond.

We initially booked for 2 days but ended up extending to 4. The staff was very kind and accommodating, even letting us move sites early. We loved the animals, but would have appreciated the donkey poop being cleaned up from our campsite. I was also concerned about the condition of the donkeys’ hooves. They were in desperate need of a visit from the farrier. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Very noisy because of the early morning airplanes from the nearby airport, the animals (cows, donkeys, goats) and loud inconsiderate campers. Otherwise, the location is conveniently located near town, and the bathrooms with showers were great. The animals are cute and friendly too.

Lousy , awful. The tent site was not clearly marked for a night arrival even with a marked map it was difficult to find. The tent site was so close to the neighboring site that I could hear them talking and cussing and yelling at their dog way into the night. the spot top put tent was very uncomfortable wood chips. other neighbors were loud playing games at least past 2am. NO PICNIC TABLE??

Online reservation was quick and easy. I got in late but they made it easy to find my info. The bathrooms were immaculate. When I left early I was surprised to see the cutest goats and ponys! I have never felt safer while camping.

Helpful friendly staff, nice camp spot with soft earth easy to push tent pegs into. Bathrooms clean and tidy, and good showers.

Overall, the stay was good! Quiet area and good spaces to set up the tent. My only complaint was the men’s restroom. There was black mold throughout the grout of the shower and on the shower curtain, which was really gross. My wife said the women’s restroom was very nice, so still giving the koa 4 stars. Overall, I’d return again, but really hope to see a refresh on the bathroom!

Donkeys, mini horses, and goats! What's not to love? (Bathrooms were also were clean and we loved the covered outdoor cooking location with an electric stovetop)

Dave and his staff have created a special kind of magic for families at the KOA in Gunnison. We had so much fun and loved the atmosphere here. We will definitely be coming back again!

Great place and great people. They have free range goats and miniature donkeys that are super freindly.

Best KOA I've ever been to. It was absolutely gorgeous, welcoming, and peaceful. The staff is friendly. The grounds are very well cared for. The animals on property are adorable. This KOA's bathrooms are the cleanest I've ever seen. To top it off, what a great price. 10/10!!

One of the prettiest KOAs I've ever stayed at. I love that there is grass everywhere and that the whole property is so well kept. The facilities were clean. The staff was super friendly. The entire property was so beautiful! I absolutely loved the animals there too! I was surprised to see gotas and donkeys just walking around, but it turned out to be so cute and fun!

It was wonderful! Friendly staff and clean. Somewhat noisy later into the night than I would hope. Very convenient location for a day swimming at the river.

This KOA was one of the most run down KOA’s I have ever stayed at. The shower was missing the shower head and the grounds were very unkempt. At $43 for a tent camp site, this place is a joke.

The grounds are littered with animal feces as donkeys and goats roam around all over. While the crew are very nice the place has gone downhill over the years. The men’s room is old and needs a serious overhaul. Mind you it is kept clean which is positive. I won’t be staying there anymore unfortunately as I like the area.

This was the most comfortable KOA we have ever stayed at. The animals roaming around was so fun & the accommodations were very nice. We loved coming back to the camp after a long day and relaxing. Looking forward to the next time we can stay here!

Tent camped here on 6/21/2025 & 6/22/2025. The restroom & shower facilities were very clean. The owners were extremely nice people. They also gave us details on places to eat dinner (5 B's BBQ & Ol' Miner Steakhouse). The animals roaming around are so cool. The owner does his best to clean up after them and he is always willingly to stop and talk.
