Easy Check-in, convenient, Grass!. All amenities worked. Pretty close to neighbor, liked the goats and donkeys(poo dropping every where was annoying when walking dogs. Showers and bathroom could use a full remodel, but are fine.

A very unique campground! Wish we could’ve stayed much longer. By the way, Google maps still says the road over the Blue Mesa is closed, but it’s open to most vehicles. No large Class A’s, check first, but unless you drive a big rig, you’re fine. (We have a F150 with 24 foot trailer)

Very friendly staff. Our site was level and most adequate. Donkeys and goats roaming the campground were an interesting add.

I was visiting Gunninson for the first time and stayed at the Gunnison KOA for 2 weeks. The staff I encountered, Frank, Sue, Taylor, and Sarah as well as the owners, Dave and Susie were all friendly, helpful, and dedicated to ensuring all campers had a wonderful experience. The donkeys and goats were a unique addition and provided kiddos a great opportunity to interact with them, which was great.

Very nice and clean campground that is a carpet of well kept grass! Staff is friendly even the furry ones. Great location in the quiet part of town. Planning on returning next year.

Maintenance was a little lacking. Many of the sites could have used upgraded gravel or concrete pads some had none & were deeply rutted from the rains

4 nights is short stay for me. Always the place to stay in Gunnison. Well kept, neat, clean, friendly. Can’t ask for a better place to stay.

David and Susie are the very best hosts ever. Sites are large, very comfortable, grassy, shaded and very peaceful. Love all the fun animals, donkeys and goats love the attention from campers. We highly recommend this KOA.

I try to visit yearly just to see the Burros. The staff is helpful and friendly and the restrooms are clean.

Site was beautifully manicured. Staff was grooming and watering the grounds daily. Loved seeing the animals. This place is my new favorite and will come annually. I definitely will try to come longer stays.

Stayed 3 nights in August in a W/E head-in site along the north fence. Tight between adjacent spaces and water pressure very low. OK price compared to other available parks. But we recommend NPS Elk Creek cg. to our friends.

Great stay but the dog park could use some water for dogs. Also the roads could use some gravel since it rained almost every day and the dirt turned to mud.

The farm atmosphere was relaxing and felt like home- the grass was beautiful and was glad to get away from concrete jungle. The staff were friendly. Definitely a comfortable environment.

Very enjoyable stay in Gunnison. Beautifully manicured sites with lots of grass, and even some goats to watch frolicking. Friendly and helpful staff.

Fantastic campground! The grass is just amazing!! Better than some golf courses!! Love the burros and goats that roam the park and like to be petted!! The sites are HUGE!! Staff is very friendly and helpful. We will be back!!

Loved the animals roaming around and Dave does a great job on keeping the grass manicured! We’ve stayed in many RV parks and “resorts”. This would rate in the top 3! Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. We will be back!

We enjoyed an extended stay & like the roomy & well maintained grass sites & some nice trees! Dave & Susie & Sue take great care of your requests. They provided a nice sized firepit & we purchased the firewood which they delivered to us. They have propane available, clean restrooms, laundry room & gift shop. They are located just off of the main highway.

Tent camped here on 6/21/2025 & 6/22/2025. The restroom & shower facilities were very clean. The owners were extremely nice people. They also gave us details on places to eat dinner (5 B's BBQ & Ol' Miner Steakhouse). The animals roaming around are so cool. The owner does his best to clean up after them and he is always willingly to stop and talk.
