I love the people and animals at the Gunnison KOA. Dave and his staff are more than willing to lend a hand, and are constantly working around the property to keep it beautiful!

We stayed there with our camping group for several nights. We've been going there for many, many years! Everyone is so nice and helpful. The campground is beautiful and green! All the animals (donkeys and goats) coming over to visit and maybe looking for a carrot, add to the enjoyment of this great KOA!

We stayed as part of a group. One member had truck mechanical issues and received exceptional help from the site owners. We've been at this site many times & always look forward to our next stay there.

Loved the weather, the green grass, the intimate accommodations, plenty activities for young and old, pet friendly, and friendly staff. The only thing missing from my site was shade. Thank you!

Clean and quiet. Please get rid of the donkeys and goats! Health hazard as they run amuck in the campground!

3 nights. Nice stay. No one mentioned the proximity to the airport. Needed to get up in the morning anyways.

The Gunnison KOA far exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful, clean, family friendly and offered such a pleasant stay. The roaming animals were fun to watch. We appreciated that the RV pads were level and sites were well maintained. The team that takes care of this property and the guests is to be commended. We will recommend this KOA to our friends.

Gunnison KOA is one of our favorites! Cool temperatures, green grass, and mules for lawn mowers :). Staff was very friendly, and plenty of room. Being an old Firefighter, I sure enjoyed the old Fire Engine, too. Thanks.

Great location, owners very friendly. Large, grassy spacious sites, not too close to each other. Fantastic seeing the campground's friendly donkeys roaming the ground. The goats are cute too. Will be staying again!

The employees were friendly. The grounds were well maintained with the exception of the dog park. The trash can for the dog park was full and overflowing with dog waste bags- smelled terrible.

The park and restrooms are very clean and well maintained. It is obvious the owners take great pride in the park. And, even more amazing - we had to leave a day early due to an emergency. Even though it was already 10 a.m. when we told Don, he refunded our money for that night. This proves service is high on their list of priorities.

Didn't stay long enough to really enjoy the park. The grass was excellent. Had a nice picnic table and fire ring. The spot had plenty of space for us. Loved the gentle animals (donkeys, goats, etc.) roaming around.

I reserved a tent camping site. They put me on an unshaded patch of grass between 2 RVs. No tent pad, no fire ring. Then the jet took of right over me.

Everything about this park is perfect! So clean everyone is super nice and the animals are the cutest!!! My son cried when we had to leave.

Great koa; everything was well kept, clean bathrooms and the grass lawns were awesome. The best part was the donkeys roaming around. We’ll be back.

Loved the animals roaming the park. I do wish the sites were gravel instead of grass/dirt but we keep coming back. The location is good and very family friendly. We stayed two nights with no issues.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Large grassy areas for your RV or tent. Dave’s zoo are adopted animals that roam throughout the park.

Unique campground. Enjoyed our stay. Will return. We had our Doberman puppy with us who is a joy. Many KOA campgrounds have banned this breed. I called ahead and talked to the owner. She stated her pet policy was based on individual dog not the breed. How refreshing. Our pup got to meet her pony, goats and donkeys that ranged throughout her park. Such a treat! THANK YOU.

This is a fantastic KOA, located in a great location. It is an extremely clean and well laid out property. Play areas for the kids, some farm animals like donkeys running around, surrounded by open space, a pond and fountain, along with trees and grassy surfaces for camping all make for a great stay.

Wonderful rv park! The staff takes great care of the grass and area. Spaces were spacious . The donkeys, pony and goats added a lot of entertainment and fun for kids! Will stay here again

Very nice and clean campground. The staff were all friendly. The donkeys roaming around was something new. We would definitely stay here again.

Tent camped here on 6/21/2025 & 6/22/2025. The restroom & shower facilities were very clean. The owners were extremely nice people. They also gave us details on places to eat dinner (5 B's BBQ & Ol' Miner Steakhouse). The animals roaming around are so cool. The owner does his best to clean up after them and he is always willingly to stop and talk.
