Very relaxing stay. Some might not like the small airport nearby but I enjoy that too. The donkeys were cool also.

This is our favorite KOA in Colorado. Dave does an excellent job of keeping campground in top condition.

This is a great place and has one of the best kept grounds. The owners and staff are all amazing. The animals are fun to watch. It is one of our favorite place to go!!

Buddy sites are not described in booking no fun if not with friends. Constantly spaying pesticides for mosquitoes also no fun

Loved the park. Beautifully maintained. Large spaces. They have donkeys and goats which are allowed to wander and graze on the grass...very friendly and fun to watch. Management is very efficient at cleaning up after them, and it is a wonderful diversion for kids (adults too!). The park is very convenient to the town of Gunnison. There is some airplane noise which might bother some.

There were many camping spots empty, but we stayed closest to the stream behind the property. Puddles all on our camp site!Not ideal for our dog. Drainage issue AND lots of mud where our friend stayed (PAVERS??). Colorado is not know for swampy campy grounds in the summer! You sprayed for mosquitos making my husband cough....Please let customers know you are spraying.. Lovely bathroom WATER/Mudbug

Stayed 13 days in the park. No shade for almost a 2 week stay, when asked to be moved, they said it was not possible, they were full, that was not true as we could see vacant spots, might have had to do a little juggling but no effort was made. The animals in the park are fun but suffer from neglected feet, many had slipper toes, very painful for donkeys and goats. Hard to see the neglect.

It was ok, it had been raining so a little muddy. We were gone through out the days, returning in the evening. Full hook-up services were fine, no issues.

Staff were all very nice and helpful, facilities clean, great location. However, the campground was a muddy mess during my stay due to recent rains. Putting gravel on the roads would be helpful. Also, the pavilion area was so wet that it was unusable. One of the RV sites was getting pumped out, but they never tried to fix the pavilion area while I was there. A permanent fix would be nice.

Loved this cute campground. The perfectly cut green grass was so nice as well as the donkey's and goats. I loved the camp store, the had lots of cute little gifts for family and friends. Location was perfect to spend a day in Crested Butte, or fishing the stocked trout pond and streams or taking a day trip to Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

Nice talk with Dave about Hartman castle. Also enjoyed his zoo (goats,miniature donkeys all roaming around the grounds) very safe and relaxing. Staff did a fantastic job with picking the best site (tent camping) with great afternoon shade.

We had an emergency and needed to stay at least a week to get repaired. They had an emergency spot for just such emergencies. Taylor in the office was wonderful and helpful. By the end of the week we were ready to leave. Thank you KOA!

We had a wonderful stay at Gunnison KOA. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the goats and donkeys were an unexpected treat. It was our best experience at a KOA.

We loved loved this campground. The staff was wonderful and our site was perfect!!! The Donkeys and goats were so awesome and I’m going to really miss them. Hopefully we will be back. Our first time at a KOA and it was a wonderful experience. �ϋ�

I have never been treated so poorly! When you pay for full hook up you should get fulll hook up! I was stuck in the middle of 100 camp sites. Then had someone but right next to me. Neither one of us could open our doors with out bumping into each other. 100 camp sites and only one bathroom. Which looked like hadn’t been cleaned in months! Parking spots not level not flat. No chairs no carpetl

This is a beautiful campground. Wonderful amenities that include beautiful green grass, covered tent sites, different types of cabins, fire pits, and a very nice dog off-leash area. It was very quiet and peaceful. Reservations were fast and easy. Quality area for a reasonable price.

Tent camped here on 6/21/2025 & 6/22/2025. The restroom & shower facilities were very clean. The owners were extremely nice people. They also gave us details on places to eat dinner (5 B's BBQ & Ol' Miner Steakhouse). The animals roaming around are so cool. The owner does his best to clean up after them and he is always willingly to stop and talk.
