It was clean, a very small playground for the kids. The electric panel was sketchy and the 30a outlet had duct tape over it. For us, we needed to borrow an adapter to plug into the 50a. The price per night was too expensive for the amenities that were at this campground. I would not stay at this campground again.

Very clean sites and friendly staff. Really made us feel like welcome guests. We needed an adapter and they loaned us one. Another guest had his key fob die and the staff drove to town to get him a new battery.

Greeted us with smiles and Freindship, work campers ALWAYS working to keep grounds @ 5 star rate. Site was large backin with plenty of space between sites. Next to airport with limited flights 95% of time no flights. This is what ALL KOA’s should be like.. Highly recommend this KOA

Great location, lots of amenities and we'll kept. The bathrooms are very clean, although could use an update to the shower fixtures. Love the animals around the grounds! Store is well stocked and friendly hosts

The folks here are very nice, and professional. The ‘double-wide’ lots are roomy. The grass is maintained like a golf course. It is far enough off the main highway to keep things quiet. An occasional aircraft can be heard if departures are to the southwest; not an issue. Thank you, Gunnison KOA.

There was what looked to be like droppings everywhere on the ground. Literally everywhere you stepped. There was dog poop that wasn’t picked up on our lot and it being right next to an air strip is incredibly inconvenient. Aside from the lots, the staff were friendly, kind and accommodating

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I think this guest has mistaken aeration plugs for droppings. Aeration is a process of punching small holes in our grass to relieve compaction and allow water to permeate the soil. Small plugs of dirt are present after this process. These plugs disappear in a matter of days and the grass is happy.

Far enough off the main highway that it is quiet. Beautiful grassy spaces with plenty of space between rigs, the nicest people running the place. It was a delight.

This is the most immaculate clean, and beautiful KOA there is!!! Dave the owner is always around, he visits with visitors. The office ladies are friendly and you never feel like you are a bother. Restrooms are clean and well kept. John washed and waxed our rig while we were there, he did an awesome job for a very fair price. We will be going back for a 3rd stay in the future.

We enjoyed our stay. The campground was well cared for, quiet, and restful and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only suggestion I would make is to have water at the dump station. We had to resort to returning to our campsite to clean out our tanks . . . which seems rather unsanitary considering that's the same place we hook up for fresh water.

We enjoyed Gunnison! The only improvements we recommend are fixing the sewer hookup. Ours was broken and it was frustrating. Also the power wasn't great either. We ended up wasting our first few hours on these problems.

We knew this was a basic KOA without all the bells and whistles of a Holiday, but it was still nice and clean. We heard some mooing from nearby cows, and even though there is the local airport pretty close by, it was quiet at night. Our site #7 was relatively large and grassy, allowing a nice distance from our neighbor. We noticed not all sites were so spacious. All in all, a pleasant stay.

The park is beautiful with soft grass at every site. Lovely trees. The only disappointment was the dog park. Very hard to get to, no bags and really overgrown. But it is fenced and we did fine. All the park employees were very friendly and helpful

Nice staff, we walked a lot to exercise the dog. The dog park was out back but we could see the farm animals. I was surprised to park on the lawn and it was nice lawn but setting our chairs out was fantastic. They have a pond too.

This is the best campground we have ever stayed in. Beautiful, clean, well taken care of and friendly staff. Gunnison is a great little town and the area is loaded with things to do. We will definitely be back.

Finally a KOA that actually has office hours from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM! and only a cleaning the bath houses for a couple of hours versus 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM!

We've been coming to the Gunnison KOA for the past 5 years for my daughter's travel softball tournaments, and it has become one of our favorite traditions. Every year, we look forward to our stay here just as much as the softball itself! The campground is always clean, peaceful, and well-maintained. The bathrooms and showers are spotless, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the little extras make this place special. The farm animals, especially the mini donkeys and goats, are always a hit and add such a fun, unique touch to the experience. After long days at the ball fields, there's nothing better than coming back to a place that feels welcoming and relaxing. The owners and staff truly care about their guests, and that shows in every part of the campground. Thank you for helping make our softball summers so memorable. We already can't wait to come back next year! 🥎🏕️❤️ If you're visiting Gunnison, this KOA is an absolute must-stay. It has become our home away from home every softball season!

Tent camped here on 6/21/2025 & 6/22/2025. The restroom & shower facilities were very clean. The owners were extremely nice people. They also gave us details on places to eat dinner (5 B's BBQ & Ol' Miner Steakhouse). The animals roaming around are so cool. The owner does his best to clean up after them and he is always willingly to stop and talk.
