When we checked in, we were given a map and a key with no explanation of anything. We walked on a muddy road over 100 yards to the restroom from our cabin. We were chased by goats on the way to/from the bathroom. We found out from a fellow camper that the wet grass I would walk in was sprayed for mosquitoes while we were there and was gagging her husband. Warning of poisonous spray should be give.

Wonderful and friendly service from making reservations, phone calls with questions, checking in/out and getting fire put. Beautiful, well kept and clean. Loved the donkey and goats. Definitely will recommend this KOA.

I had last minute reason to head home and was only there for about an hour- was not expecting a refund and the woman at the office was so nice and processed one for me. It was a very clean campground in the time I was there and I appreciated their kindness so much!!

I was not aware of the size of the camping cabin (A frame, 2 people) after my initial reservation. The front desk person was very helpful and upgraded my reservation to an available camping cabin (4 people). I am very thankful for the upgrade. Side note: The roaming pig (and the petting zoo) was delightful to see on the property. The bathroom / shower was very clean and well maintained.

The KOA was great - I loved the goats and donkeys that roamed around, the grounds were very well maintained, and the deluxe cabin I stayed in was perfect. Couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.

Our stay was delightful! The cabin was nice and clean. Our kids loved the donkeys and goats! With the bridge being closed, the young man at the front desk had some great suggestions for day trips that we otherwise would have never known about.

All KOAs I’ve stayed so far have been great. I found this one to be average. The A-Frame cabin concept was promising but it wasn’t as well built as it could’ve been. The back door wasn’t very secure even when locked. And farm animals are cool but wasn’t fond of them being able to roam freely. I had to be extra careful when walking my dog. And even though it is pet friendly I didn’t fee

We have been coming to Gunnison KOA for years and have always enjoyed our stay. The only thing that I would say is that Cabin #4, where we stayed this last time is not the most motorcycle friendly access. Especially since that back entry is fenced off. The road has ruts, rocks and sand.

Beautiful campgrounds surrounded by trees, a playground for the kids, farm animals, a dog park, and nice showers - it doesn’t get better than this place!

Rented the A frame cabin. Tiny but clean and dry. Still chilly with heater, but I was prepared. Convenient location.

Beautiful campground. Very nice. My only complaint involves the A frame cabins. Those are so bad. Cramped, poorly ventilated, no windows, not nice at all. Suggest scrapping these and go with the standard cabins. Happy to take call to discuss other issues with the cabins and their horrible location Thanks for taking comments Mark Stewart 303-579-5268

There were donkeys, sheep and goats.The idea was good, but the animals did not feel well.There was one sheep in particular that was in so much pain that it could hardly walk.I think it was cruelty to the poor sheep.

The site was in a wonderful location and the staff was very helpful. Overall, the campground restroom facilities are somewhat dated and in need of slight repair. Thus, the campground received a four out of five rating. Still, I would highly recommend the facility to a friend or family.

The location was beautiful. Everyone was nice & friendly but this KOA seems a bit worn. The A Frame I stayed in was very small and the area around it was very dusty with numerous large rocks I had to walk & drive over. There was trash in the fire pit, the front light was out, the water spicket dripped & the bathroom had a faucet out, one toilet didn't flush & a shower dripping.

We stayed in one of the Kamper Kabins. The Kabin was clean and good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds need to be cleaned up. There was equipment, machinery and miscellaneous "abandoned" structures scattered around the periphery of campground. The interior of the campground and bathouse was fine.

Very nice campground. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Restrooms and showers (nice hot water) was clean. Close by to US 50 and nearby attractions. The cabin bed frame and mattress can be improved (it was creaking a lot). The cabin door lock can be smoothened (it is difficult to lock and unlock with the key).

Stayed in a A frame cabin. The cabin was comfortable, but all the A frames sit far away from the rest of the campground across a nasty open area full of weeds. There is no path to get to the bathrooms, some people even walked through a big ditch to get there. I felt like I was in the getto area. A little landscaping and a path would really help.

The bathrooms/showers were clean. Laundry facility was nice. The front desk workers were very personable. Nice location, not far from Gunnison.

Stayed in the large cabin with kitchen and bathroom. 3 of us were very comfortable. They provided additional coffee pods, paper towels and trash bags. The cabin actually had a window air conditioner, so it was very comfortable. Donkeys and goats were fun. Wonderful town.

Great place with lots of character. Close to town but set back enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. I was worried about being so close to airport but only heard one plane. The grounds are well kept and the petting zoo is a fun touch. I would definitely stay here again.

We brought pour dog and wish the screen door latch on the cabin 4 was there. Bathroom was clean but a distance from the cabin for night time use. Beautiful location. Wish we had more time to stay and see the animals. Really appreciated the pavilion kitchen.

I stayed in the A frame cabin for one night after driving all day. I just needed a secure place for my dog & I to sleep and this was perfect. We arrived in the evening in July - the cabin cooled down quickly as the sun set and it was beautiful all night & morning. There were plenty of places to walk around and by far, one of the best KOA dog runs I've experienced.

Tent camped here on 6/21/2025 & 6/22/2025. The restroom & shower facilities were very clean. The owners were extremely nice people. They also gave us details on places to eat dinner (5 B's BBQ & Ol' Miner Steakhouse). The animals roaming around are so cool. The owner does his best to clean up after them and he is always willingly to stop and talk.
