Excellent campground! Lots of green grass and spacious sites. The staff is very accommodating if you need help with anything. I highly recommend this campground if you’re in the area!

Spacious sites, very quiet, fun donkey's and goats roaming around interacting with guests. The grass spaces were a plus too, very well maintained and no animal poop in sight! All the staff were very helpful and friendly....and answered immediately to our site when we needed help. Thanks Dave, Susie, Sue and the rest of the staff for making this such an enjoyable stay!

We were in double wide site, which gave us plenty of room. The grass was wonderful, the donkeys, pony and goats entertaining. Very nice and helpful staff. Easy access to town. Would recommend.

While the goats, donkeys and horses wandering the campground may appeal to families and city folk, it is not relaxing for those of us already familiar with farm animals to clean the scat from our campsite just to walk around. Location is great and the staff works very hard.

Nice quiet park. Very well kept. Love the grassy parking spots and the free roaming goats and donkey. The hosts were very friendly.

I never met Susie but she was helpful in arranging the stay. Dave was SO very helpful getting me set up. Cannot take a hot shower, tepid at best. Burros got into my food and pooped in my site, interesting touch, but are pests roaming free.

We were very thankful for the owners and all he did in helping us move our tow dolly and just overall friendly and happy. We will definitely be back. The grass is beautiful. It was extremely peaceful and relaxing. The donkeys, horses and goats are incredible. We apprecieated everything and will be back! Recommend this KOA highly. Best ever! Wayne and Tami Latka

Our stay at the KOA in Gunnison was amazing! The staff went above and beyond to help us out when we had some issues with our vehicle. They helped make a stressful travel day into a wonderful family camping trip filled with great memories. We will absolutely be back next summer and probably for years to come. Thank you!!

Love it and the staff was very helpful. We didn’t have the right 50 to 30 amp converter and they came out at 10pm to bring us one. Thank you! Oh! And the donkeys were pretty awesome too!

We had a great 8 night stay. It couldn't have been better. Dave and the crew were so nice and helpful and the animals were a blast. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful!!! Dave and Susie are amazing hosts! Campground is clean and we'll taken care of! This is a great family environment! Staff is friendly and moves around the campground greeting and maintaining. It helps in making you feel safe.

Owner Sue was not as friendly as expected, but her husband David was a pleasure! They have high expectations for guests and keep a well maintained campground with beautiful green grass! Would stay here again

The place is really awesome, well groomed and taken care of grassy sites. Things for the kids to do minus a pool, we loved the little petting zoo type atmosphere. Place was very clean. Would go again, just take head that you can not check in early. They would not let us even park on the lot to wait until the 2 pm check in. That is our only complaint.

Helpful friendly staff, nice camp spot with soft earth easy to push tent pegs into. Bathrooms clean and tidy, and good showers.

Overall, the stay was good! Quiet area and good spaces to set up the tent. My only complaint was the men’s restroom. There was black mold throughout the grout of the shower and on the shower curtain, which was really gross. My wife said the women’s restroom was very nice, so still giving the koa 4 stars. Overall, I’d return again, but really hope to see a refresh on the bathroom!

A very well maintained family forward park! Lots of kids and family enjoying themselves, it was nice to see. The animals were a delight, ( goats, burros, horses…) Just an over nice place to be. And in the center of all things Colorado !! Thank You KOA!

Gunnison is a beautiful, relaxing oasis! We love it there. Can’t wait to return a third time. Love the grass, the donkeys, and the goats.

The best KOA I have been too! Everyone on staff is friendly and helpful. Everything is clean and orderly. The best thing about this KOA are the goats, miniature ponies, and the donkeys! That just made the whole KOA. I wish every KOA had animals.

Most of the park has beautiful grass, but the field by the mini cabins and the dog run were overgrown and in poor condition. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Overall park was nice for rv's for what i seen.As for the cabin it seemed a little dusty, i had to wip off bed befor puting my bag on it. No air conditioner and i know Gunnison does get a little warm in the summer

This is one of the nicest KOAs we have stayed at. Green grass, clean and organized. Ponies, goats pigs and cows on site was a plus.

We loved the grass camp sites and shade trees. And the goats, horses and burros were a delight to have wandering about the area. Very nice!

We loved the location, lots of grass and established trees. The goats and donkeys are novel. The place was not as well kept as it used to be. It was not as clean and there were things that were broken.

We stayed for the weekend. We have been camping in CO for many years and this is our new favorite place to camp. The grounds are so beautiful with green grass. They have roaming goats, ponies and wild donkeys. The camp ground is close to everything. The owner is so nice. It was a great weekend, and we will be back soon.

Very nice small park with great grass and shade all around. They have a petting zoo, which I have not seen at a park anywhere else. The staff was very nice and helpful.

This KOA needs updated. The bathroom facilities are horrendous. Shower curtain rods being held in place by wadded up paper towels? Over flowing trash? Toilets that move when sitting on them? I am guessing kids love all the animals, having donkey pee and poo in my camp daily is disgusting. I have been coming here for many many years, but this facility has gone too far down hill to come back.

I love staying here. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The people I spoke to in the office were very friendly and lovely to interact with. I'll definitely be coming back!

Tent camped here on 6/21/2025 & 6/22/2025. The restroom & shower facilities were very clean. The owners were extremely nice people. They also gave us details on places to eat dinner (5 B's BBQ & Ol' Miner Steakhouse). The animals roaming around are so cool. The owner does his best to clean up after them and he is always willingly to stop and talk.
