Very clean campground. Friendly staff. Area has a lot of things to do. There was a rodeo in town as well as carnival. River rafting. Lots of other events. Enjoyed our stay. Will be back

Unique and beautiful—many animals to pet and beautiful green grass to park on. It’s a restful, soothing place to be. Dave and Susie Taylor are wonderful hosts.

Great Park! Dave and his crew do a terrific job with this KOA. Clean, efficient and with lots of real, green grass! Near all the action. This was our second, extended stay visit and like MacArthur said: "We shall return". ~Stan (aka: The Dogfather)

I stayed in the A frame cabin for one night after driving all day. I just needed a secure place for my dog & I to sleep and this was perfect. We arrived in the evening in July - the cabin cooled down quickly as the sun set and it was beautiful all night & morning. There were plenty of places to walk around and by far, one of the best KOA dog runs I've experienced.

We enjoyed staying at Gunnison KOA. By far our best KOA stay. RV site 9 was awesome. The shade and space was a big plus. Thank you so much for making our stay such an enjoyable one.

It makes a difference when the owners are on site to manage and look over everything. There was green grass everywhere in 90 degree heat. They start b-4 8 and I have no idea what time they end. There are 2 parts of this site that are beyond awesome - 1) internet is fantastic and 2) if you have kiddo's buy a bag of carrots (25 cents) to feed the animals!!!

Nice A-frame cover for our site, right next to the creek. Quiet, well kept KOA, staff very friendly and accommodating. Perfect, would stay here again for sure! Really close to town and stores but minimal road traffic here.

Very nice campground. I was disappointed in being assigned to site 48 which was right next to the office/bathrooms. I made my reservation in September and asked to be near our friends. Site 48 was the least desirable location. Everything was full so we had no choice to change sites we spent most of our time at our friends site Overall loves the green grass trees and open space

Accommodations were good overall. We tent camped. Cleaning person did an amazing job keeping the bathrooms very clean(until the public destroyed them by the end of the day.) Mosquitos were pretty bad in the morning and evening hours especially. The grounds were constantly being watered so that probably promoted the mosquitoes to hatch more. Our entire site remained pretty wet and soggy.

The KOA Gunnison is a very nicely laid out property. We love that it's alot cooler in the summer there.. I'm a Gunnison Native that moved away.. Only issues was the toilets were loose, the floor drain grate was missing..could hurt or injure someone. HOT WATER for showers each time was almost non existant...so I give them a 6 out 10.. Hopefully their maintenance will fix those issues soon.

We have stayed here 2 summers in a row and love it! Our children enjoy feeding the animals and riding their bikes through the park. The playground is clean and sturdy, the bathroom facilities are extremely well-maintained, and the all-grass sites are unparalleled.

Staff was pleasant and helpful. Cabin was tucked pretty far away from the restrooms. Also, had a little issue with the showers only running cold. (It was fixed really quickly). Overall, good stay.

Spent a week tent camping and had a great spot. The tent site shade and the campground has easy access to Gunnison for supplies plus we could ride our bikes there.

We stayed for 5 nights and the sites were very nice and grassy. Would have been nice if they had a pool but otherwise we liked it

Love Dave and Susie. They are so friendly and helpful. The campground is beautiful with lots of space, green grass and trees. We always enjoy the pets as well. Very clean!

Staff was hit or miss. Not much shade here and the airport jets made me feel like I lived on an Air Force base. Showers were old. Game room filled with junk.

Mosquitoes were terrible. Bathrooms need improvement. No effort was made by management to allow for late checkout when my pickup broke down. Very disappointed

The campground is really nice, except the overflow tent camp sites. On the overflow tent sites you will camp on the rocks, lots of mosquitos because of the close by pond and animals in the back ( donkey and pigs), no amenities close by, and you pay the same as the tent sites with grass and amenities close by. Not fair :(

Even though I’m 80 yrs old, I still loved seeing and petting the donkeys and the goats! Just like a kid I guess! The campground was quiet and the hosts were very attentive to anyone’s needs.

Its December, 2023. Via phone, found out this is a seasonal campsite, no Winter camping. Host was very friendly
