We loved the well maintained grounds and grass sites. The animals and the baby goat were a special treat!

I’ve been coming to this location for many years, it really needs a facilitator update! The hounds are nice, but the bathroom / showers are really in need of an upgrade. The term ‘cash cow’ comes to mind, in other words, milk the location for as much cash as possible without reinvesting in any upgrades. Oh, by the way, there has been steady price increases, again with zero upgrades.

Staff was so friendly and welcoming!! Nice surprise didn't realize the animals roam around the campground. Extra bonus I'm a huge animal lover. Not very happy with our spot, 1st time there we selected a back in with no sewer. Very small tight spots. The rest of the spots were big and roomy. We'll be back!

It’s such a great campground! Large spots all grass big trees provide nice. The animals are wonderful and my kids love to pet them and feed them. Dave the owner is super nice and loves animals. We have stayed here twice and will again. It’s our favorite campground!

The stay was great. I wish I had known about requesting a fire pit, I was unable to have a fire Friday night, but they provided a pit for Saturday. I loved seeing the farm animals roam the campground and interact with the campers.

We are repeat guests at Gunnison HOA. I had made reservations for our 32 ft bumper pull trailer in January 2025. I called in May to update our site requirements due to we purchased a 37 ft 5th Wheel. Staff were very helpful! We loved the visits from the donkeys. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We'll be back!

This is unique campground, with wandering goats and donkeys. The staff are super nice. Everything including the sites and bathrooms are very clean. We have stayed in the cabins and with our RV and will be back next year.

Nice KOA located just outside of town, easy access to markets and restaurants. Cabin was clean and comfortable as well as the bathroom and showers. I wasn’t a fan of the wandering donkeys and goats as you had to watch your step as you walked around and I’m a country girl. Would stay again if I’m in the area.

We stayed here 7 years ago in a cabin, this time we camped in a pop up tent. The staff were just as friendly as before. Our 11 year son said it was his favourite KOA due to the animals that roamed the site. The goats and donkeys were so charming and made this site extra special and memorable for all ages of kids.

This Campground is kompletly overtimed. The Buildings are very old, the Bathrooms are old too. When you stay there, you feel like living on Zoo, Goats, Pony’s and a cow running all the time across the Campground.

We enjoyed our stay in the cottage. Only thing I would change would be the animals roaming around and pooping everywhere. The goats are a bit too pushy, interrupting our marshmallow roast. Our cabin was clean and well stocked for cooking.

We LOVE the Gunnison KOA and have stayed here many times and ithe grounds are always beautiful and well-maintained! Our stay was wonderful, however, the bathrooms weren't very clean this time. It won't keep us from returning, just something to be aware of. Thanks so much!!

Two nights, roaming donkeys were cute and kids love it, they were well kept but I feel like it drew flies .otherwise fine.

The goats and donkeys were super cute but not the cow mooing at 6 am every morning. Even with all the animals roaming around, the employees were very good about picking up after the animals. The women's bathroom was not the cleanest, lots of bugs and there was mold in the showers. The owners/staff were very friendly and accommodating.

This KOA is very well maintained. The free roaming farm animals are an interesting addition. The Airport next door is very loud & disturbing. Didn't get the camp spot that we paid for. Site was to small for our trailer. Disapointed in that. Camp hosts were very pleasant.

Great for a family or anyone who enjoys animals! We loved meeting the goats and ponies that roamed around camp. Wanted to see the burros but they must have been having fun somewhere else on the grounds while we were there. Friendly and welcoming staff. Structures were looking a bit worn but overall a good stay we enjoyed �

Great location, convenient to where we needed to be this weekend. Loved the farm animals. Our specific campsite didn’t have shade but we found shade nearby we were able to take advantage of. Great staff. Hot water in restrooms and free showers was great.

Great grassy area for the dogs, cabin was in a nice shades area, goats and donkeys roaming the area was unique, nice play area for the kids.

It was great. Loved my place. All the animals around and with that, how clean it was. Everyone was having a good time. I can see that you all really take care of the place. I will for sure stay there again. If I can get in as it will always be full if you keep this up. Thanks!!

Nice property, friendly staff, easy to maneuver/set-up. Recommend a sprinkler reduction re: spongy-muddy ground in spots (we've lived in Colorado 40+ years and regretfully still witness over-watering during years-long drought). Very large aircraft practicing daytime landings-takeoffs from adjacent airport made conversation difficult at times. Location is close to town for supplies.

I enjoyed the stay. Not sure what’s going on with the junkie vehicles and camper that’s hooked up to water. Looks like a homeless person’s living there. Just gives a bad vibe when you’re pulling in. Staff was very very friendly. We enjoyed the animals.

Stayed 7/16 and 7/17. Nice to see all the animals and the herd has increased. However, the stagnant pond is a giant mosquito breeding ground. It was hard to be outside after dusk w/o being eating alive. Also, the game room was not in good shape or usable.

Tent camped here on 6/21/2025 & 6/22/2025. The restroom & shower facilities were very clean. The owners were extremely nice people. They also gave us details on places to eat dinner (5 B's BBQ & Ol' Miner Steakhouse). The animals roaming around are so cool. The owner does his best to clean up after them and he is always willingly to stop and talk.
