The staff were friendly and helpful. I only had one issue during my stay, and that was a lack of hot water in the showers. When I mentioned it to the office staff, I was told "Sorry, our system isn't made for that many people showering." Seriously? Everything else went well.

We stayed in the Kottage. It was clean and so convenient. The campground is well maintained and we love the animals.

We ended up leaving our stay a night early. It was very disappointing to see that we did not have a fire pit at our site, the site was little more than a parking space with electric and water hook ups, and our neighbors were only feet away from us (literally). Our neighbors set up a dog fence that was within a couple feet of our slide out and had three dogs that parked at everything.

Very cute campground off highway. Nice and quiet with some trees and flat level sites! More shade trees would be great, but overall this is one of our favorite campgrounds!

We stayed three nights in one of the A-frame cabins. The campground was close to everything, quiet at night, and had all the features we needed. The showers were great (nice hot water), the restrooms were clean, the host was helpful and friendly. The lawns were especially impressive. We also enjoyed interacting with the resident ponies, goats, and donkeys.

The cabin we had was very un-comfortable, not for elderly with handy cap issues, otherwise as for the Gunnison KOA, it is a great campground. We normally stay with our RV, but it was in the shop back home, so changed from RV site we had reserved to cabin for trip. We will not do that again if that is the situation in the future unless cabin with facilities is available.

Amazing staff. They were extremely friendly and my kids really enjoyed all the animals at the KOA. We felt very comfortable letting our 2 young kids explore all around the KOA. Highly recommend!

Park was well kept. Lots of space between sites. Could do without the animals running around. Definitely not the KOA I stayed in years ago. What happened to the pond and kids fishing. Needs some love.

Great location for biking and hiking. Very relaxing and calm campground hardly no traffic at all. All the donkeys and goats and nice to see walking around each day. Very close to town easy bike ride. Great restaurants

Loved the large site. The dog park and the bath house - altho I wish they had the heat on in the bath house! It was 37 degrees in the morning!

I always enjoy staying here with the way spaces are designed. The animals are great and will try to bring our grandkids next time. Staff is very friendly. The potholes in road need attention and the tree by the dumpsters need trimming.

It is a very nice campground, very friendly staff. I only had one concern and that is the sprinklers. A sprinkler was put in the horses’ fenced in area and ran day and night the whole time we were there. This restricted the horses and cow to one area of their enclosure to keep from getting wet. The sprinklers in the fields also were running for at least two days when we left.

This is my third year in a row of staying at Gunnison KOA. That alone should tell you how good this place is. But for those who want more: the grass around the KOA is manicured and fabulous! Ponies, Donkeys, Goats and cow are roaming around, cleaned up after and give a very calming vibe. Campground is very clean and staff are great. You would not regret your stay here.

Tent camped here on 6/21/2025 & 6/22/2025. The restroom & shower facilities were very clean. The owners were extremely nice people. They also gave us details on places to eat dinner (5 B's BBQ & Ol' Miner Steakhouse). The animals roaming around are so cool. The owner does his best to clean up after them and he is always willingly to stop and talk.
