Stayed in the only cabin left for our particular night .... clean, comfy, quiet and very convenient to town and mountain activities. Staff very friendly and helpful ... especially the young college receptionist !

The campground is small and quiet. The animals were a huge hit for our kids. One thing I would recommend to anyone coming here, bring a ton of bug spray. Otherwise, a perfect stay.

loved the little A frame cabin and all of the animals. Bathrooms could be updated and one as out of service in both the men’s and women’s restrooms

We stayed in one of the tiny cabins, which was fine. Unfortunately the restroom facilities were a long walk when you need to really go to the bathrooma and only two of the three stalls were abke to be used. There was a dog who was not leashed run at our little dog. Luckily we were able to get our dog off the ground before he was attacked. Not sure if we would return to this KOA.

I was sort of surprised to find a baby goat napping under my truck the animals there are a very nice touch.

One of our favorites. Proximity to Crested Butte, Blue Mesa Reservoir & of course, Gunnison. Many tall shade trees, lots of grass, & charming donkeys and goats. We will be back

There are only 3 showers for the entire campground fir women and they are not very private spaces. There are also only 3 toilet stalls and one was completely out if order for the season as was posted on the stall. The campground was quite full!

Loved all the well kept green grass. The goats, donkeys and pig were really unique for a campground. Staff very helpful. Great KOA

The grounds are littered with animal feces as donkeys and goats roam around all over. While the crew are very nice the place has gone downhill over the years. The men’s room is old and needs a serious overhaul. Mind you it is kept clean which is positive. I won’t be staying there anymore unfortunately as I like the area.

Clean enough once you got past the entrance, but looked a tad junky upon entering. Folks are super friendly though and the facilities are very clean which is a big deal to me.

Loved her stay. Even though the sites are close it felt much roomier than other KOAs perhaps because of the open area in the front of the front office with the burrows and goats that are allowed to wander the grounds. Great diversion for kids and adults alike. A bit of airplane noise as the airport is close by but that's only during the day and for a limited number of flights. Very quiet at night.

Besides it being a KOA, it is actually a petting zoo. Children and adults alike love the donkeys, and goats. They have the largest pig, I have ever seen.

There is nothing else like the Gunnison KOA! Kids love all the amazing activities, and especially the donkeys and goats! Dave has created a unique paradise, unmatched by any other camp ground! Only camp ground where you will feel not like a guest, but family. We wouldn’t miss our yearly trips for anything!

Our stay was great. We were in site 17 which turned out to actually be a buddy spot. Our door and the trailer next to us opened towards each other. Not really any privacy. I would pick a different spot next time and also because we were in full sun all day. It was fun seeing the goats and donkeys roaming around the campsite.

Suzy, Sue and Dave were so very kind to assist us with getting our trailer repaired after damage due to being diverted over Kebler Pass. We loved the menagerie too!

Beautiful place. Love the donkeys, and goats. Wish the K 9 area wasn't invested with mosquitos. Maybe move it out of the "watery" area...

Nice location. Next door to the airport so there is some noise at times. Enjoyed the roaming donkeys & goats. Would like to see fire pits at each site.

From help with booking our group’s stay thru arrival and departing, the cg owners/managers provided everything we needed — and many fun surprises! A pig, goats and donkeys roam the grounds! Fun to watch them interact with campers and kids. A brief shower had 5 goats seek shelter under our 5th wheel!

I loved all the tree’s that provided shade all day. The grass and sites were very well maintained. The roaming goats and donkeys were an interesting addition. Friendly staff.

Tent camped here on 6/21/2025 & 6/22/2025. The restroom & shower facilities were very clean. The owners were extremely nice people. They also gave us details on places to eat dinner (5 B's BBQ & Ol' Miner Steakhouse). The animals roaming around are so cool. The owner does his best to clean up after them and he is always willingly to stop and talk.
