Except for a broken sewer connection, brief power failures two of our seven nights, and noise from airplanes occasionally taking off from the adjacent airport, we enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff and we enjoyed the donkeys and goats.

Best stay ever! Felt like home with the mini donkeys and goats roaming around. Enjoyed every one of them coming to visit! Beautiful KOA and such friendly people! Will definitely come back! Thank you all for a wonderful vacation!

The park was beautiful! Green and lush, such a nice reprieve from the heat of summer! Friendly staff, shuffleboard, tether ball..lots to do for fun..AND friendly goats and donkeys! The sweet animals were the best surprise! We will definitely be back and will HIGHLY RECOMMEND this KOA to family and friends.

Loved camping on the grass. Office person very friendly. The goats and donkeys roaming around were entertaining. Close to many interesting places. It would be great if the city bus stopped at the campground.

Small tiny cabin and a long way from showers and bathrooms with no easy access and expense. Grounds at tiny cabins in poor condition. Not worth the money

We always have a great stay at the Gunnison KOA. The grounds are very well kept up. The bathrooms are always clean.

I plan to reach out to KoA on Monday. Gunnison Koa was absolutely disgusting n I used to stay there years ago, n was actually my daughters favorite, now it’s run down n having it a KOA is bad for your franchise. I took pictures for proof.

Cabin#1VIPW/KOA.Sue & the hired staff are great! The Wi-Fi works great, free roaming donkeys&goats. Why did I give it two stars? CRAMPED, NOISY & loud screaming kids:-( It borders airport so don’t expect any peace and quiet during the day&It borders a traveled road. NOT1 COMPLETE NITE SLEEP. RV,TENT&CABINS ARE ON TOP OF EACH OTHER!! No privacy or relaxing here.No urinal,only2 toilets.NEVER AGAI

Great staff that care about their campground. The wifi, surprisingly good (I expected a lousy, intermittent signal). The animals are awesome.

Although we made our reservation for a particular area when we checked in we did not get that area. However, the site we were given was great and we were happy with it. Note, the picnic tables need some maintenance. Thank you for a great stay!

It was wonderful! Friendly staff and clean. Somewhat noisy later into the night than I would hope. Very convenient location for a day swimming at the river.

We loved this place ! Dave was super friendly and my daughters absolutely loved feeding the goats and donkeys! (so did my wife!). If we ever come through Gunnison again, we are definitely staying here! Otherwise, my daughters would disown us.

Very clean and peaceful campground, donkeys are a bonus! Ver friendly staff! Both restrooms had a toilet out of order and one of the ladies showers had only cold water, that was the only inconvenience during our stay

Welcoming, convenient campground. This KOA is close to Gunnison. There is a whitewater park in walking distance. A great place to walk our dog.

This KOA was one of the most run down KOA’s I have ever stayed at. The shower was missing the shower head and the grounds were very unkempt. At $43 for a tent camp site, this place is a joke.

Great lovely campground. Was quite full a couple of nights. We loved the animals there. Location next to the airport was not bad, only occasional daytime noise, nights were quiet. The only thing I didn't like was the sites were grass (frequently wet or damp) and no rugs allowed on the grass. This led to tracking quite a bit of grass inside, which was easy enough to sweep up.

Tent camped here on 6/21/2025 & 6/22/2025. The restroom & shower facilities were very clean. The owners were extremely nice people. They also gave us details on places to eat dinner (5 B's BBQ & Ol' Miner Steakhouse). The animals roaming around are so cool. The owner does his best to clean up after them and he is always willingly to stop and talk.
