It was nice and quiet but looked like it needed some improvements at the pool.

I do not know why but every one was packed together with open camp sites everywhere. Our neighbors, which I do not blame the campground for this, they played boom-boom boom music until after midnight. I think if we were a site or two away it would not have been so bad. I have liked it there on previous visits. It was not as good this last time.

Nice overnight stay, quick easy in and out from I95.

Power went out in the morning for about 45 minutes. I think KOA should invest in a generator program for each location. It would be a great marketing item.

Site was adequate for an overnight stay while traveling. Scheduling was efficient and she was very helpful in finding two sites for our 5th wheels. Upon arrival the gentleman was able to provide paperwork however when asked a simple question - he was not interested in engaging as he answered you’ll find all answers on back of paperwork vs being cordial and answering. Not customer friendly.

Campground was well kept, with good water, sewer and electricity connections. Bathhouse was clean and well taken care of. Camp store was lacking some items, I was looking for some coffee creamer but no big deal. This is the 5th KOA I’ve stayed at along the I-95 corridor and it’s the only one without complimentary high speed internet suitable for SmartTVs. Might be hard here with this location.

Adequate at best! Staff were not personable…rules and signage was less than warm and welcoming …bathrooms were less than clean and up to date!

Very well maintained and beautiful scenery! Lots of space for dog walking!

Nice place. Well off of I-95 so very little noise. But easy to get to. The site was fine. A little narrow as the awning on the motorhome next to us very nearly prevented us from opening our slide out. Only stayed the one night but a clean and quiet campground.

Had to end my vacation early for hurricane preps at home, called KOA a couple days in advance and nobody answered or responded to messages. Rates this high I was hoping for a rain check for later use. My house survived Esiaess

Water and sewar hook ups are too far apart. Office closed on Sunday's is a big inconvenience. Needed Ice before departure and couldn't get it.

No good water pressure. Grass not mowed-5-6 inches high. Poor stone roads. Bathroom and showers dirty and unkept. Uncaring clerk. Entire grounds need makeover.

Campsites are very close together and the fire pits have no grills to cook on. The bathroom facilities are very nice and clean. Showers are also good with hot water available. I would recommend it for an overnight stay when driving on a long trip.

It has a nice setting, staff is nice, decent amenities for a KOA Journey. It seems they are very under staffed. It is just the entire place is so run down and tired. It looks like everything needs a good powerwash, paint job and a weed whack/ mow. There is no real camp store either

Everything was great

Convenient off the highway. During our one night stay, we had a level pull-through site long enough to stay attached to our RV. However, the electric and sewer were not convenient. We had to decide to use the electric/water overnight, then back up and dump in the morning. This is a no-frills campground, and maintenance of the grounds is minimal.

Enjoyed my 1 night stay. My puppy loved the dog park!!!

Was greeted by a nice fellow when we checked in, but the store area was cluttered, with lots of empty shelves. The campsites are spacious, but dirty.

Very narrow sites, felt as if neighbors were on top of each other. Laundry and bathhouses were clean. Okay for a single night stay but no more.

Easy off and on interstate. It's an older campground but clean. You pay for internet $1.50 per day and it didn't work on my tv. The layout of campground was very nice.

Very friendly. Easy in/out. Clean sites

Great time, good neighbors

Very nice campground. We have been there 3 times before.

KOA is easily accessible off the I95. Sites were level and long enough so that we didn't have to unhook. A good and convenient place for an overnight stay.

Wasn't our best KOA stay.

We camped in a 5th Wheel in this campground for one night. The staff was friendly and the campground was well maintained. We would stay here again in the future.

Pros- its right off the freeway, It has a pool and clean bathrooms. Laundry was a reasonable price. Cons- not much going on. We stayed bc we had friends in Rocky Mount. Medoc Mountain isnt that far from there.

The spots were too close together. The person next to us, their sewer line was under our picnic table. The grass area was not big enough to have our picnic table and fire pit. We never sat outside. The area you parked in was not maintained. This campground did not live up to the KOA standards. We stayed one night in site 28.

The owners were absolutely terrible..it was the worst experience i have ever had at a any campground in my 40 yr.experience of camping and traveling. I travel for my job i work for the largest general contractor in the US. and stay at RV parks all over the united states. This one was the worst by a thousand percent. From check in until I left 1 week into a monthly stay. And lost 750 dollars.

Our reservation was fastened to the locked office door. Sign said office hours 9 am to 5 pm. We arrived at 3:20 pm. Stayed two nights. No one was in the office or on the grounds. The grass was overgrown and the whole place was creepy. Won’t be coming back.

Absolutely hands down the worst KOA we’ve ever stayed at! And may I add the worst campground period! I’d give 0 stars if I could. We’ve traveled all over the US and stayed at many Campground and many KOA’s, the front desk, which I believe is the owner is very rude very conceited. We first got there and we’re put on a site with mini trees, pinecones tall grass, and not maintained.

I'd say more Pro's than Con's at this Rustic KOA campground. Extremely easy on-off route 95 highway. Just 1 mile back off highway, but, you hardly hear the highway which is great. It feels very country out here nestled between swap and cotton fields. Easy check in at office with quiet but friendly guy. The property is sandy roads and huge mature pine trees. Grass was all mowed recently and there are some interesting wild flowers and cool mushrooms growing here and there. Tent camping sites were large and in nice grassy area with covered picnic tables and fire pit. They offer propane tank fills and have a dump station right beside this. The general store is quite empty, but we didn't need any supplies, so that was no problem for us. Their guest map is very nice and well designed. It surprised us that the swimming pool was still very clean and in warmer months would be very nice to relax in. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained, however they are rustic, but I have no complaints about that. The signs for the 24 laundry room are not very prominent, it's hidden around back under a staircase and beside the ice cooler. We totally missed this the first day and took our laundry into Rocky Mount downtown (which I highly recommend against! We did not feel safe at all at the 252 LaundryMat, it's in a sketchy part of town!) we would have loved to spend our money here at the campground instead. My small suggestion is: attach a sign onto the rear staircase with arrow pointing to 24 hour laundry door for guests to easy see. We saw another camper walk with laundry basket and followed her to find the 24 laundry. There is a sign on the door, but like I said when walking around the front and both sides of the building, we just didn't even notice this door tucked under the back staircase. After finding the laundry, I did check it out and am adding images here for future guests to see. Laundry was very clean and affordable. Again, wish we would have found this and spent our money here to help the campground owner. RV sites are almost all nice long pull through. Only negative is the placement of the sewer connections. The only way to hook up, places your RV steps walking right out to next RV sewer less than 3 feet in front of your RV door. This also places your picnic table real close to neighbors sewer hook up. NOTE: the campers directly in front of us when setting up and noticed this, shockingly looked at us sitting at picnic table on our site & said, “we will just use our holding tank next 2 days while ya'll here so that's not interfering with your sitting out here.” Super nice folks from Louisiana! The dog park at this KOA is excellent! They have mowed grass, covered bench to sit at while your dog plays and dog waste station with bags and trash bin. Shocker was all the very nice dog toys they provided in a milk crate inside the dog park to borrow. Our dog loves borrowing others used toys way more than any new ones we buy for him for some reason, so he was in his zoomies glory here! The cotton fields were so beautiful and cotton ready to be harvested. It surprised us that the bugs were not bad at all here. We didn't have to use any bug spray at all. The only real negative I'd say is the lack of free usage of WiFi. The map you get at check in says: 8 hours of free WiFi included. But what they do not say is: this Clock of 8 running nonstop hours starts when you connect and runs only the next 8 consecutive hours, then that's it, you are cut off. This could be frustrating for lots of unsuspecting campers. We however travel with our own Starlink connection, and just swap to that. They do offer 2 small cabins for rent and we did see some ladies renting one during our visit. There is a nice playground and we loved that it had the old school equipment we remember from being kids in the 1980's! All the playground equipment was fresh painted and in good shape. That's my full and honest opinion of camping here.
