Cooperstown KOA New Mural

Cooperstown KOA New Mural

Here at Cooperstown KOA we are always working on new projects. One that was recently completed was our new mural on the side of the pavilion. It features some of the local area attractions and things around the campground.

To start out with we needed to paint everything white. Not only does this give a nice backdrop for the paint, but also keeps the wood from absorbing too much of the paint colors.

Next the sky was painted in. Large areas needed to be covered with the different colors to make sure we had enough. This would include, Sky, hills, lake, and waterfall.

The next painting day added the Glimmer Glass Queen, a car, rocks and waves to the waterfall, train tracks and a Rail explorers bike, a horse and buggy and one of the teammates from our Cooperstown Koa Baseball teams the coyotes.

A quick painting in the morning produced the Kingfisher Tower, Barn, and Silo, before rains drove the painter inside.

On the last day, finishing touches were added, including the other player from the opposing Cooperstown KOA Team, the Cows. Fireworks, trees, lavender, corn stalks, sunflowers, a fish, and, a sign were also added.
