The staff is not very pleasant when you call. We tried to get a group together and they could only tell some which site we were on...and others they said they don't know until we arrive. Quiet time is 10pm. The norm for most campgrounds is 11pm. Need to mark the entrance to the park more clearly for other motorists. It's on a very dangerous curve and we almost got hit leaving the entrance.

Nice, quiet, and acceptable. Only a pop in and pop out, as we needed to stop for the night. Did not use any amenities.

Positives: Convenient location, clean bathrooms and some sites have privacy. Negatives: Some other campers had very smoky fires and smoked cigars which meant we had to repeatedly close our windows. (My husband has asthma triggered by smoke.). The campers behind us were noisy and had smoky fires. The laundry room was chilly, and one of the machines was very noisy and another was out of order.

It was a bit of a challenge to get to off of 64. The entrance/exit is on a blind curve, i actually had my wife get out and go across the road to get a better view when we were leaving. They don't pick up trash, which is something I've never experienced at a koa. The positive, nice level sites large sites. Picturesque campground. Near Monticello and other attractions. I would stay there again

We keep coming back to this KOA! We enjoy the peace and quiet, as well as the mountains and wineries of this region!

Nice wooded campground in a beautiful part of VA. The camp store is fantastic and had the things I needed so I didn't have to drive 20 minutes to civilixation. Dr. Ho's Humble Pie restaurant (about 5 miles away) has great food and decent beer selection. Eastwood Farm & Winery is close by and has nice beer and wine offerings.

Nice level sites. Staff is very friendly and helpful. First camping trip of the season. We came back from visiting Monticello to find water on bathroom floor. The toilet valve had cracked over winter. The staff recommended that we get the part at camping world on our way through Richmond. The manager even gave us a cap for our waterline to the toiiet, so that we could use water in the rest of RV,

Nice location outside of Charlottesville. Quiet campground with nice little walking trail through the woods. Small playground with bounce pad. Bath house appeared clean and in good order. Staff was polite. Our pull through site was pretty level.

The actual campground was fine but getting to it was a bit difficult. The road is very narrow and very winding.

WiFi was terrible! Couldn’t get a good connection. Also the dog park was pathetic and although it wasn’t swim season the pool area looked sad.

This review has been removed by KOA due to profanity.

Nice quiet campground

It was a little pricey for what we got. We didn't use any amenities, and the sites were just gravel with a little bit of grass. Full hookups were great!

Our stay got cut short due to RV problems. Staff very understandable and offered help. We definitely will be returning. Very clean and well kept!

Wonderful wilderness KOA park. This place offers the perfect place to experience camping in a forest setting. The sites are roomy and level. Close to wineries and historical locations such as Thomas Jefferson’s and James Monroe’s homes and museums. I highly recommend this rv park.

Very nice campground for more than an overnight on the road stay. They need better signage to tell big rigs where to stop while checking in.

This is one of our favourite KOAs. The washrooms are lovely well designed and clean. The sites are on hills but very level and pretty location all around. Always like staying here!

I really enjoyed my stay. It was my first time at the Charlottesville KOA, and I couldn’t have been happier. The campground is beautiful and well maintained. I was impressed with the site and will definitely be coming back again in the future. Thank you for your warm hospitality!

We stopped over for one night on our way to Maryland but we loved the area and the peaceful night and decided we would definitely return.

Nice campground with decent space between sites. Since it's the second oldest KOA there are plenty of grown trees with shade. Great place for a quiet relaxing stay.
